I did it!!! I finished the 10K
Sat AM low was 34, & the hardest part was waiting for the race to start. I finished in 1:07:32. I wish my pace was a little better, but it did get off to a slow start. There were 5,000 in the race. I got to show everyone at work the video of me crossing the finish line. Too bad I looked so spastic.
People were cheering on every corner and the last mile was rough, so I ran with the Marines. They were counting cadence for the whole race. The songs were funny and they made me laugh and keep going.
I must admit I did not accomplish much else for that day, and now I've found I have to get new running shoes because my toes got crushed in what I thought were good shoes. I hope I can find a good pair. It is running season afterall.
That certainly has to count for some activity points.
Thanks
