  • Hi all! Checking back in.

Still haven't finished but it seems like maybe I'm in good company - it sounds like many of of are faultering a bit right now.

In my case, I (like Fluffy) took a week or so off 'cause my hips were hurting. More specifically, my IT band was getting overstressed. Then I started having back trouble (rib and low back), so I extended my rest. And here I am, still not ready to go back out there. SOoooooooo frustrating. And I am about to starte traveling again, which makes training tough. poo.

Mayness - sorry to hear you took a break too, but all in all, I'm kinda glad you're still here! We'll make it - we just have to keep trying!!!

I dunno, but having an overuse injury kinda made me feel like a real runner again - not that its a desirable thing, but for some reason it takes the edge off the ouchies to know they came from trying too hard!
  • Hi all! I've been out of town this past week. Despite my best intentions, I didn't have a chance to run at all last week. However, I did quite a bit of walking. Now, I'm back home and my schedule will not allow me to work out until Thursday. I think I will repeat W6D3 since I didn't run the full 25 minutes at the 5K. So, I'll try and complete that before moving on.

Oh, I downloaded Gotta Fly Now (Theme from Rocky). That song really motivates me to go for it.
  • I just started Week 8. The 28 minute jog. My pace is pretty slow and I did about 2 miles in that time. Jogged the entire 28 minutes!

I never thought I would be able to do it, but I really think I will get to 3 miles!
  • Woo! Great job, Lori!!

I'm only on week one, so it's still insane to think that in just a few weeks I should be able to do a full 28 minute jog!!
