Great job BASKGAL and CAT!

No LOVNMOM...I have never gone to yoga with Angie...don't think I ever will! We are building a new gym and community center at church in the next year+, she plans to be able to teach yoga, to members in the congregation, by the time it is completed, we have been saving a little for her training.

We love brats....if we don't put them on a roll with mustard, etc. we dip them in a sauce of cumin~paprika~worcestersire sauce and ketchup!

No miles for me in the last 3 days....over time at work then this afternoon we sat with our Vicar at church...watching the internet...to see where he would get his call...then we all went for pizza!...humm..I better get going on those miles! Not going to happen tomorrow either...daughter is defending her thesis for her Master's...a must see for dad!!

Keep up the good work gals!

Just walked this evening. Giving myself a little break I suppose even though I wanted to run. Gotta let the old body catch up to my spirit! 1.75 miles in total.

Gary, mmm, that sauce sounds yummy. I'll try mixing a batch by trial and error the next brat fest we have. The activity at your church sounds wonderful.

Yes cakeses, we must let the bod rest too!!

I did the 60 min workout on Sunrise Tai Chi. I hadn't done it in a very long time and I'd forgotten how hard my tummy works when I do all the breathing exercises correctly. You do alot of squating in it too. That'll be great for my walking!!

Planned on going for a run today, but it seemed too hot. Therefore, I went to the pool. I dove right in and continually swam laps for 30min. I couldn't even tell you if the water was hot or cold b/c I dove in and didn't stop. Gotta love Florida. Sorry to all my cold-weathered friends.

Maybe I will achieve my April goal tomorrow.......

Baskgal, Yah, it's hard not to hold that against you. We went from sunny and 70 on Mon to 33* with rain and loads of wind the rest of the week. There was even a tornado in WI yesterday. I'm a pretty big person and can be happy for you though. Well, sort of anyway That's exactly why I changed my goal this month though. So, when the mood hit or the weather is right for something other than walking I can feel comfortable doing something different rather than worrying if I get my miles in or not. I hate not making my challenge. You're doing really well. Have you always been active and started challenging yourself here, because you wanted to walk and run more or are you a beginning exerciser?

Just 30 minutes of dancing for me yesterday. I got two "new" actually really old cds in the mail yesterday. Remasterd Meat Loaf and Supertramp from the very early 70's. Funny, I was really looking forward to them. I wanted some rock n roll around the house that talked to me. Rather than my kids. Ha, it was a nice trip down memory lane, but it sure doesn't TALK to me anymore. Amazing Grace talks to me much more these days. Probably because it's still amazing to me I came through the Meat Loaf era unscathed lol But, it was fun dancing and watching my kids faces. "How do you know all the words to these songs mom?" " You used to listen to this????" Oh well.

Happy week-end folks

i just got in from an interesting 3 mile walk with my golden retriever Reba. Angie had to teach Saturday school today so she took Rylee with her. It seems that last week one of the teachers took her dog and it really calmed the kids don't. These kids are in Saturday school for a reason

So Angie thought she'd give it a try. First time Reba has ever gone on a walk with me solo! She has been left behind before when she has had fatigue from an old leg injury. Nervous Norvous! But we got through it and probably burned a few extra calories!

Love the music LOVNMOM! as for the brats...we just squirt a glob of ketchup on the plate, pour a little worchestershire sauce over it, sprinkle the cumin and paprika on top then swirl the cut up brat pieces in it. Just a way an old german guy showed us a few years back at a church BBQ.

Great having the choice BASKGAL to sweat or swim It was right at 70 here this morning on my walk with a nice breeze...gonna get hot today though!

Hey CAT that 'old body...WHAT!? wait until you're my age can do amazing things! As my daughter proved in her Master's thesis this week! but then you already know that being a soldier's gal and all!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK-END FOLKS!

Great to see all of you moving so much! I'm slowly working up the weekly distance as my body gets used to moving instead of sitting all day. I'm aiming for 10 miles a week on the eliptical, which I've found is so much easier for me than jogging, and 4 miles a week doing walking/jogging intervals. So far, so good.

OMG too many days off. I ran outside here today and was HOT. What a concept - it's actually warm at the end of April - about time. Should have worn a tank top but I learned my lesson

3 miles in 34 mins, not all running unfortunately. Next time I am scoping out my run and not just taking off. I almost fell on some rocks when the pavement ran out and had to walk every time after that when there was rocks just in case. So with the hills that I hadn't foreseen and all that walking I am happy with the time. And I am way happy to be outside as well!

With work and feeling under the weather I took a 3 day break this weekend. I got back on the road today and ran 4.5miles.

Angie and I are going out with the mutts as soon as dinner settles in. She says we will only do 2 miles tonight...I guess she got her exercise in doing yoga earlier this evening...I think most of my exercise...after work...was twisting off bottle tops! Posting now so I don't forget!

Started out the day with a 4.5mile run. Don't know if I will be able to get a run in tomorrow, but I am happy that I accomplished my April goal. Now I have to think of a May number.

Good luck to all. Thanks for all the encouragement. I always felt like I was an active person, but not being able to fit into any of the clothes in my closet made me reevaluate my diet and activities. I feel better and really enjoy the positive vibes I get from you guys.

Keep up the good work everyone!!
