I'm new to the forums here. I thought I'd jump in with my workout for today. I think this is just what I need to keep me accountable. I hope you don't mind me joining up! :)

I did my second day of Slim in 6 this morning.

My goal for the month of February is to workout a minimum of 5 days a week for at least 30-45 minutes. ETA: And also to do 1500 minutes of exercise.

107/1500

metamorphosis 02-02-2008 10:33 PM

Well, I'm currently vacationing in Kentucky, so am not able to work out as normal. I did jump rope for 10 minutes and took my niece & nephew for a walk to the park. I swung for awhile, then climbed around on the playground equipment. Ended up carrying my tired 4-yr old nephew home. A bit of a workout for the back, at least. ;)

My goal while here is to maintain... wish me luck!!

dream710 02-03-2008 12:04 PM

HI! I hope you don't mind if I join. I have two goals first being 1500 min of exercise and second 40 miles of running/walking.

2/3: 30 minutes cardio max and 20 minutes pilates

Good luck to everyone and their Feb. goals!

metamorphosis 02-03-2008 03:24 PM

I took a nice 45 minute walk this morning. Wonderful to be somewhere I can walk in a t-shirt without freezing my buns off.... just too bad people down here never thought of a thing called sidewalks... :^:

djs06 02-03-2008 07:48 PM

Meta, I'm jealous! I'd much rather have warm weather than sidewalks ;) It reached 40 today and I was thinking about how toasty it felt for February.

65 minutes elliptical.

sapphireheather 02-03-2008 09:34 PM

Been a long day here. Had to bake a dessert for hubby to take to work today. Boy is hard to not want that dessert (especially since it's my alltime favorite dessert), but I survived.

Just finished Day 3 of Slim in 6 and also WATP 4 mile challenge. I'm beat. Time for a shower and then bed.

I've been back OP since last Sunday and have wo'd 5 of the last 7 days...

2/1 - Biggest Winner Shape-Up Backside
2/2 - skip day
2/3 - Firm video and 20 min bike ride around my very hilly neighborhood

All of the above have kicked my b*tt!! :)

just get it done 02-04-2008 12:45 AM

my first 60 mins in Feb. I'm still leaving my old ticker up right now because I want to finish my goal my valentines day.

mandalinn82 02-04-2008 12:26 PM

February started with 60 min on the elliptical on Friday. Weekend had a whole lot of Wii....enough that I'm sore...so we're gonna call that another hour (it was about 3 times that, but I don't know how active all of it was...soooo we'll estimate).

Diva 02-04-2008 12:36 PM

Day 1 of c25k DONE! :carrot: My quads are freaking killing me lol! I just ate a banana to try and help with the cramps. I did .5 mile of laps in the pool too and I tell ya, the treadmill was the easy part! OMG! I think the laps are harder because I have asthma, but hopefully I can build up to a complete mile. All and all feel proud and pretty good. it was a struggle doing both and I just kept saying to myself, YOU CAN DO THIS! and I did! :)

Diva- Isn't it fantastic? I'm about 6 weeks into c25k. It only gets better... if anyone would have told me a couple of months ago that I'm doing what I'm doing now and loving every minute of it even in this nasty ol' weather, I would have told them they were a nutcase. HA... now people call me the nutcase.:carrot: (i love that carrot)

reneeks5 02-04-2008 07:30 PM

I used to post on this thread...about 6 mos ago! I need to be held accountable again! I did my 3 days last week (my MIN. w/o regime) but after binging yesterday during Superbowl I couldn't get off my *** to w/o today!! I gotta do it tomorrow! Watch for me!

sapphireheather 02-04-2008 09:59 PM

Got my Slim in 6 workout done this morning, then this evening I headed to the gym and did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes on the treadclimber. Good thing I got that exercise all in because I made some poor eating choices this evening.

Forgive me if its a dumb question...but what is "slim in 6"?
BTW: I did my eliptical for 30 minutes and lunges and other leg exercises for 10 minutes.
(Can I say...I HATE sweating!! It feels so gross!)

djs06 02-05-2008 01:24 PM

2/5: 60 min treadclimber.

Renee, I totally agree! I sweat so much.. I think if I only sweat a little bit i wouldn't mind so much because the concept of breaking a sweat feels so empowering in theory... but I hate it in reality because I sweat so much!

Diva 02-05-2008 07:17 PM

Can someone please give me the formula again to find my resting & exercising heart rate? I used to know it but I have slept a lot and I forgot.

Roni- I wish I could help you but I don't remember how to calculate....sorry!

sapphireheather 02-07-2008 08:39 AM

Did Slim in 6 on Tuesday and Wednesday as well as WATP 30 minute High calorie burn and then yesterday I also had an appt at the gym with my trainer. Spent 35 minutes there doing that. Today I'm taking the day off from working out. Realized that I haven't had a day off from working out in more than 2 weeks. My body needs a break.

379/1500 workout minutes for February

3fcuser1058250 02-07-2008 12:25 PM

40 mins on my trainer bike thing.... so boring... I should go shovel, but we have a snow blower, I'll just wait till DH gets home :p

reneeks5 02-07-2008 07:32 PM

LOL Chel...We got 8 inches last night too. I decided I'd shovel for my exercise I'd shovel. I did it for an hour and you can be sure I'm counting EVERY minute!! I'm already sore! I was sweating so bad I ended up stripping off my hat, scarf, and coat! LOL Neighbors must have thought I was nuts!!

and yesterday, I did my eliptical for 30 minutes. I dont know how you guys do an hour I get soooo bored!! BUT that's 3 days for me (my goal) so I think I'll shovel the rest of my driveway tomorrow for a bonus :)
