What happened to everybody??? Still doing Oxycise?
I did mine again tonight. I don't know why it is so hard for me to put that tape in and spend 15 minutes breathing! But it seems to be! I'm determined to lose this weight, though and hopefully start feeling better. I've been walking several times a week, too. It's hard to get up to the track but I have to go get my grandson from school at 3 everyday so I'm trying to get an early start several times a week and go walk first. There's an indoor track at the college about 2 miles from his school and it's open to the public so it's convenient for me. You'd think the Oxycise would be convenient, too...I only have four VCRs! There's one in my bedroom, one in the livingroom, one in the kitchen and one in the rec room downstairs...so I have NO excuse! I gained 2.5 pounds last week and it hasn't gone away yet!!! I've just GOT to lose this extra weight...it's killing me! So...I'm saying next week, whatever it takes! I'm going to lower my points (I'm doing Weight Watchers) and cut out eating anything after dinner and see if that will get me started back down.
Friendship Greetings (this one I need to add to...I used to have at least 40 pages but most of my graphics were lost when I lost the account at Go.com. http://www.design-max.net/Friends.html
Got to go to bed...long day of cleaning and laundry tomorrow. (And try to get in my Oing!!!) Got to get my metabolism raised and start losing this weight again!!!
Why IS it so hard to put that little tape in? I'm doing fair. I've done it several times this week, but not every day like I'd planned. I haven't even done the commuter tape in the car everyday, but I sguess some is better than none. Right?
ROSE: are you still breathing? What about you WATERBABY?
I'm supposed to be working, so I'd better get to it, I'll be back when I can.
This is my only grandson Nathan at Christmas. He's almost 4.
Barbg, your Nathan is a cutie! Our first grandchild was born just last week, on the tenth. His dad is already squawking about how much the little guy eats -- well, DUH!!! He's a baby!
The only movement I've had going in the last few days is when I stop fast and the jiggles catch up ewwww....
I can't seem to put the tape in on the way to work. I wind up yawning so much I can't keep the breath in!
I guess with all the air we suck in and blow out, we are a real bunch of windbags!!!
Have a great evening and forgive me. I'm simply full of myself tonight and don't know why. Guess I've just got a case of the "sillies"...
A ROSE by any other name would smell as sweet -- and we'd love to see a post from you, chummie!
MeMe, your attached images are hysterical! Thank you for making me laugh!
I've been really good this week. Boy it's so strange to me that I feel so much better when I do my Oxycise every morning, but I don't do it. I get up in time, there is no reason no to, but some mornings, I just don't do it.
But this has been a good week. What about the rest of you?
Stayed home today with just plain old exhaustion. We're trying to move, I haven't felt too chipper lately, work is ucky, and I have had mega sleep deprivation.
I slept until nearly two pm. Really rare for me. Went to bed at 10:30 last night. Just worn out.
I have my O! tape out and have looked longingly at it today. But I figure, if I'm too wiped out to eat much, too tired to do much of anything, then I don't need to add an exercise session today.
I did want to check in and say I was thinking about everyone and hope that your week has gone really well.
I've always said if I could just accomplish things by thinking about how they were done, I'd be untouchable.
I'm still plugging along, doing a lilttle Oxycise, bike riding, and water aerobics. When I went to the doctor yesterday for my pre=op checkup my weight was up. My doctor said that she was sure it was because of the lack of mobility because of my knees. I didn't have the heart to tell her I'd been exercising more the past two months than I've exercised in years!!!
Wow I was so excited when I checked this board and saw all of these familiar "faces"!
Claire-Where have you been? I've missed you. I'm glad to see you have the same wit that I remember and love! You always put a smile on my face.
Barbg-you are such a trooper! You kept this board going all the while I was gone and silent. And I'm with Claire your Nathan is adorable! So sweet!
Meme-Yippee you're here too! It's like an Oxycise reunion!
Now I know this will sound like and excuse but I do have a reason for me not posting. First my work schedule has been so tight that posting at work has been impossible and at home my computer is so outdated that posting is a chore! Then my son received a new computer from his dad for Christmas which took the slow computer problem away but then I came down with a severe sinus infection and now I'm just recovering from the flu! I just can't seem to win but I'm back now and I'm ready to start doing O again in earnest. Not only that but there is a girl at work that recently lost a bunch of weight and now she's throwing it my face how much thinner she is then I am and it really gets me mad! So lets help each other get on track and promise to do O once a day at least no matter what it takes! What do you say. When do you want to start? Today, tomorrow when? Let me know I'm here and willing!
Hey Rose...I'll try...whenever you want to start. We just bought a new van yesterday but won't get it until Wednesday. It has a tape player (and a CD player and about everything else you can think of except the kitchen sink!) so I will be able to Oxycise in the car...finally! I have to go get my grandson from school everyday and it takes about 15 minutes to get there so if I can't do the tapes at home at least I can do them in the car!
I have had the crud for a week and haven't felt like doing anything until today...and I had my little 2 yr. old granddaughter all day today (she has what I had last week) so I'm pooped...but I really need to get back to breathing. I sing and I've noticed that if I do the Oxycise it is a lot easier to hold the long notes plus my voice is much stronger! I have to sing Sunday night at a fairly large church. I am also scheduled to sing "My Valentine" at a Valentine's Banquet in two weeks and I have to stretch to get a couple of the notes so Oxycising will really help!!! I give voice lessons and have introduced a couple of my student to Oxycise. I loaned them my intro. tape and one of the girl's mother told me she was doing it with her daughter and noticed that her back wasn't giving her near the problems it had been...isn't that amazing???
So...I'll check back later to see when you are going to start! 'Nite!
Here's a pic. of the kind of Van hubby bought me yesterday! It's a Pontiac Montana (except ours is dark blue/green...REALLY DARK!)
Meme-Awesome van! Love it! How about making a fresh start on Monday? I would say Feb 1st but that's a Friday and with the weekend looming ahead of us it's better to start on a Monday I think. What do you think? Plus I still have a little of the crud too and will probably feel better with more rest and a little more recovery time. It's been a rough year. I've always admired people that can sing. It would be great if we could get a sample of your singing! But you should well Oxygenated if we start O on Monday for Valentines Day. I'll check back later and see.
What about everybody else? Anyone else interested in joining us!
If we start Monday, It will be from my hospital bed, but I bet I could do that. Don't you Think??
My knee replacement surgery is Friday, Feb 1st. This has been the longest 2 weeks in the history of the world. Everything is all set and ready, I've got my clearance from my PCP, already done the hospital preadmittance testing, got all my instructions for the night before. All that's left is to be there at 6:00 Friday morning.
They say I'll be in the hospital for 3 to 5 days. but I have gotten a new laptop and I'll check in with all of you while I'm there.
If I don't get another chance to post before I go in, keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Barbg-I didn't know you were having surgery! Of course you will be in my prayers and I know all will go well. And I don't think a few breaths would hurt in the hospital bed it might help your recovery! I'm glad you'll have your laptop with you so you can still check up on us. Take care, get well soon and God bless!
Monday will be great...give me time to get over this cough! I'm not so worried about Valentine's as I am this Sunday night...I still cough when I get a deep breath and I have to sing Sunday night.
Barb...good luck on your surgery...keep us posted on how you are doing!!!
I have to get back to the WW plan. I started that the first of November and did really well on it until the week after Christmas...we went on a mini vacation and I went off a little and I've been a little off ever since! I've lost and gained the same 2 pounds for the last 3 weeks. Got to settle down now and get the rest of this weight off. I had lost 18 pounds from Nov. 1 to Jan. 1...now I've put back on 2 of that! I just have to get the rest of this off before the first of June. I still have 37 pounds (39 now) to lose to get back to 140. I'm 5'9" and at 140 I will be able to fit back into my size 10s...can't wait for that!
