Still got a cold, just trying to eat/drink whatever makes me feel better (water is actually helping!). I did get some new sneakers specifically for working out at the gym and I'm really excited to wear them. Wal-Mart also has some really good deals on excercise clothes right now so I may go and get some. New stuff helps motivate me.

I'm excited about tomorrow! A bunch of net people will be here (most I've met, just not the guy from Australia!). I've got some healthy food for it too.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy new year!

Pamela

WTG, Pamela! Don't you love new stuff? It's a great motivator!

As for me, I had a very laid-back holiday, with very little exercise, but my eating wasn't too bad... I've got to get back to journaling with Fitday... it helps so much!

I did my exercise ball workout last night, and it felt great! I still can't finish it, but I'm working up to that! Just doing it at all is a great accomplishment!

I've made some goals for this week (and this year!) and here they are:

1. Water! Water! Everywhere!
2. Exercise everyday!
3. Start journaling again!

Here's to setting off on a new year on the right foot! *clink* (toasting you with my water bottle! )

Talking Gonna move today!

Ok, here goes. Im starting my new life today! I'm tired of this weight. Been thin all my life til 6 yrs and 3 kids ago!
I bought the TaeBo tapes about a year ago and theyve been sitting in my bookcase staring at me ever since. Today I'm gonna get one out, and attempt to get myself on track! If I can only last 5 or 10 minutes.. I'm going to look at it as 5 or 10 min I wouldnt have done, if I had just sat there. And next time I'll add a few more minutes! I can do this!!!
Thanks for giving me somewhere to go, I've needed a place like this for years.

Wink

Good for you, Honeyrose! You've just taken the first step, and once you've done that, it DOES get easier! Well, most of the time, anyway!

As for me, I barely made it to Curves last night, but I'm so glad that I did.... it was a really hard workout, considering that it was the first time in over two weeks! But, again, it's the first step, and I feel good about it....

Didn't journal yesterday, or drink all my water, so those are my goals for today... And I plan on either doing my exercise ball routine tonight, or yoga.... but I'm definitely doing something!! Come to think of it... it's pretty warm out (for an Alberta winter!) so I might take my dog for a brisk walk up the road...we'll see!

Keep on movin'!

Talking Today I feel great!

Today was great. I got out of the house early with my children, we went on a long walk outdoors. Although the temp was only 20 degrees, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. The fresh air did wonders for me. We also had a trip to the grocery. I planned a list earlier today, cutting out all junk and sticking with healthy foods. Gotta work on water intake. My Tae Bo tapes are still sitting. I'd rather do my exercise outdoors if the weather permits. Makes me feel better! Im looking forward to spring so I can get out the rollerblades. I wonder if I can still do it?
I just feel wonderful after being outdoors most of the day, and I feel a good kind of tired. Like I accomplished something!
Tomorrow is another day... maybe the TaeBo.. who knows??

Hello everyone. I haven't posted for awhile, but I'm back to some serious weight losing. I've been off for Christmas break but have to go back to work on Monday. Blah! I teach first grade and have two small children. Somehow I fit in my treadmill.

What I've tried as of lately is to walk on the treadmill with 80's music. It's amazing, but the music actually makes me move. When there isn't any music, I just push myself to keep walking. As soon as I hear a good song, my body wants to dance! I'm not a dancer, so this is all done in private! LOL! The kids even have to be in bed if I want to walk. Hubby has an office out back. Very nice. Has anyone else tried to use songs for walking? Just curious.

I better go. Hubby is watching the kids (bless his heart) and it's nearly bath time. Dread!

Talk to you later!
Heidi

age- 30
weight- 160/158/130
Plan- walking/slim fast/no eating after 7pm
So far, so good. So hard!

Hi Heidi! Nice to have you here!
I am going to start borrowing my dad's cd player for when we go to the gym. I love music and I know this will really help me especially if I pick some upbeat songs.

Doing good with the excercise and trying to do better with the food! I'm excited to be so close to my prepreg weight! Woohoo!!

Talking Good Morning Friends

Everyone seems to be doing so well!!
Congrats to all on your strength and willpower to keep moving!
I myself have had the flu and not posted for 2 days .

Not much to say here, been walking to the bathroom if that counts!!
My diet has been poor. Although I'm craving liquids since I've been ill. Very very dry with this flu.
Ive been able to tolerate
Chicken Soup
Saltines
Orange Juice
Hot Tea
and water

Ive lost 3 lbs in the past 2 days from being sick, although I do not feel like that is an accomplishment. Im sure as soon as I take that first bite of "real" food, it will go straight to my thighs!!

Keep up the good work, I'm so proud to read your posts and see that you are doing well!!!!!

Best of Luck
Debbie
