21 min. on elliptical and 45 min of interrupted (by kids) weights and situps. I'm still eating healthy but maybe I could decrease the amount of food yet. I was able to stretch out so I don't get so sore and it makes me feel better too. I was feeling a bit guilty for not fixing breakfast for the kids, cleaning the kitchen, or doing homework. This is a problem for me. I need the support to put myself first so I can be a better mom. And taking 1 or 2 hours out of the day is good for me. (See how I'm trying to talk myself into not feeling so guilty) Instead, the kids got the cereal out and I had them do the dishes and clean the kitchen while I showered. Now I can go and hit the books.

4.25 mile run/walk (would've been all running but there were some CRAZY hills I just couldn't handle!)
I also did a 10-minute DVD segment on stretching with the stability ball. I felt all tense after the run and needed to elongate my muscles. Felt good. |
35 minutes cardio kickboxing video
40 minutes stability ball workout (upper body, lower body, core, and flexibility) 60 minutes yoga DVD |
5.7k run
40 min swim :swim: |
Man, I did a 4.4 mi run this morning and it KICKED my butt directly to the floor. I thought it was going to be less, actually, but estimated my miles totally wrong in my head, and it was long and windy and cold.
I've never gone out and done a pavement run longer than 3.6 mi before, so I added considerable distance. It took about an hour, with a wicked headwind. Also a 10 minute workout last night, teaching my mom how to use her new bosu and 8lb medicine ball - 2 sets each of lunges, planks on both the bosu and medicine ball, overhead raises with medicine ball while standing on bosu, etc. |
Sunday: 20 min. on elliptical, church and car broke down
Today: 15 min on elliptical - tired from yesterdays car problems. But I got up and did something. I'm happy with that. Mandalinn82 - great workout! |
I didn't get up early to exercise. So I'm going to do my functional exercises and get on the treadmill as soon as I'm done with school with the kids. (I homeschool.) Hopefully writing this down will help me do it. I'll check back in and let you know how it goes.
Thanks, |
No workout today :( ...
BUT, tomorrow I have a great day planned out... Going to the gym in the morning to do back and biceps... later in the afternoon I run with the girls, right after the run a g/f and I are going swimming :D... It's a good plan... Great looking workout Mandallin! |
It was odd to be the "demo model" for my mom and her new equipment. But my trainer has given me so many plank variations to hit different muscles that I had to share them with her.

Not trying to be tacky or obscene, but...
:o Don't forget that sex burns calories (yes, I include it in my accounting of exercise done every week) - no one needs the details of course, but I usually mark it down as "Cardio" and occasionally as "Strength," depending.
I always ask my boyfriend if my calculations are correct (don't want to get carried away) and he told me to take off the 10-minute walk to the United Center to see Cirque du Soleil...but told me the 20 minutes I claimed for Cardio was pretty accurate. All physical exercise where you work up a sweat is good! |
 Samantha! I haven't been including sex when I track how much cardio I'm doing, but maybe I should!
Today: 4-mile run |
Bonus workout: 45 min yoga booty ballet (did you know that comcast customers get that for free too? It was a total body tone, and it was on on-demand. WATP, yoga booty ballet, its a regular smorgasboard of brand-name fitness experiences).
About to head to gym for the planned workout (55-60 min elliptical) |
60 elliptical, as planned/
|
you girls keep me laughing - sex exercise and yoga booty ballet?
20 min elliptical and 20 min free weights, situps and stretching. You know when you're getting old is when you go to bed before your children. I went to bed at 8:15 last night. But I feel so much better. |
I am a newly found yoga booty ballet fan! Its really fun and MAN do I feel it today. Also very peaceful and centering. I sort of want to do it again.
I keep waiting for someone to write "50 min striptease aerobics". |
