Exercise Accountability -- FEBRUARY!!

Wow, Februrary already ...

Back and biceps, run later... Gotta go...

2frustrated 02-01-2007 09:47 AM

Just a quick post - Krista on Stumptuous.com is looking for heavier female athletes to answer a questionnaire - if you go and check out the iron bit on her site, it's under "What's New?" on the right hand side.

Cardio and weights for arms.

mandalinn82 02-02-2007 12:06 AM

A killer hour-long arm workout (I walked in and said to my trainer "I had a really frustrating day - I'd like you to kick my ***" and he said "we can do that") followed by 50 on the elliptical.

2frustrated 02-02-2007 05:49 AM

2 hours kickboxing (more like 2.5 but that was just logistics!)

mandalinn82 02-02-2007 11:26 AM

Nice long run/walk this morning (well, long for me...3.6 mi...and I ran the first 1.6 without stopping to walk, which is more than I've ever done, so I'm happy. Had to do an early workout because I have a blood donation appt today, and I always get dizzy afterward if I work out.

ennay 02-02-2007 01:58 PM

No exercise, but I did go to the podiatrist and got cast for orthotics (Ilene, you said you had them right? tell me they are wonderful and worth $380) and got a prescription for physical therapy. Hopefully I wont be running in pain soon.

I did go to a 2 hour long intro to belly dancing thing last night.

LisaMarie71 02-03-2007 11:20 AM

3 mile run/walk

I did nothing the last two days, because I can't shake the sickness, and I shouldn't have gone on the group run this morning. Oh how I wish I hadn't! I had to take lots of walk breaks, and then when we were nearly done I fell and slammed my face into the sidewalk. Huge bruise and swelling around my left eye, cut knees, and a chipped front tooth.

alwaysbelieve 02-03-2007 12:40 PM

Pilates and some push ups.

My knee is getting better so hopefully I can increase my workouts.

Ennay, they are the BESTEST investment I have ever spent $400 on HONEST.... DD had sore knees before orthotics and no longer has problems... Well worth the price.... But it just bugs me that they take pennies to actually make ... my nephew used to work for a podiatrist and this is what he told me  .... Oh well, they know when they have us...

3fcuser1058250 02-03-2007 02:07 PM

Ennay -- Just wanted to add that the Doc had said it would take a couple of weeks for me to adjust to them, but my first run with them in my shoes were the best and I haven't looked back since... So they may or may not be comfortable the first time out... I also find that since I wear them all the time, at the gym too doing core standing stuff, that if I forget to wear them I am totally off balance now...

luckyducky 02-05-2007 06:44 PM

Lisamarie, I hope you are doing better! That sucks!!! I feel for you! I am lucky, I have thought about what would happen if I fell while I was outside walking, and the thought isn't pretty. I have done the Richard Simmons Tonin Downtown this morning, and have walked 1 mile ( so far ) to WATP today. ( intend to do more though...)

On Sunday I tried those tabata squats and my legs were really sore until yesterday. Today, I had a personal best in squats. I am so going to feel it tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'll walk my dogs for an hour, and on Saturday I'll lug three 50 pound bags through three airports. Sunday is my day of rest.

So far, so good. I just need to up my water intake. I wake up feeling like a mummy!

Oppurtunity 02-11-2007 11:28 PM

I usually never exercise on the weekend (Sat & Sun) but today was just so warm out and there was no wind, so I hit the road for a 40 minute walk.

mandalinn82 02-12-2007 10:43 PM

After a busy weekend with no more exercise than a bit of dancing at a party, I'm back with a vengeance this week. 60 min elliptical.

Now I LIKE this idea! :carrot: <- and the cool carrot.

I need accountability, and what a great way to have it. Just a real quickie post, nothing fancy, every day. OK, I'm in.

LisaMarie71 02-13-2007 06:52 PM

Welcome, Ginger!!

I finally get to post in this thread again! I've had a nasty upper respiratory infection that's really kicking my butt, and I haven't done anything since my run last Tuesday!!

Today I did a 50 minute treadmill walk (still no running, sadly).

3fcuser1058250 02-13-2007 07:14 PM

LisaMarie -- Hope you're feeling better soon

Welcome Ginger!

30 min LB. Since its v-day tomorrow and Sarah's (floral designer partner) won't be home until 3am or so, am planning to get in both cardio and an UB/abs workout tonight. Figure I don't have anything else to do...Also, I have a sneaking suspicion i have a cold coming on, so I want to get as much in as possible workout wise today.

mandalinn82 02-13-2007 11:26 PM

60 min elliptical, 50 min UB/abs
