Exclamation Dr. Siegels The Cookie Diet

Has anyone tried Dr. Siegels Diet Cookies? I have been doing a lot of reading and research on it.

I thought for me, since it is more structured, I might be able to do well with it. It is pretty low calorie and restrictive.

Anyone here have any feedback who has tried it?

Thanks,

Diane

This isn't a diet that I personally would follow, and I personally would not recommend it to my friends.

You are right about it being low cal and restrictive. You consume 800 calories per day. You eat six of their cookies, and then you get one piece of chicken or fish, with 1 cup of vegetables.

Anyone following a diet that low cal will lose weight, but studies have shown that quick weight loss is nearly impossible to maintain.

I'm also a bit insulted that people think that just because we are overweight that we would want to eat cookies all day.

If you do try it, please see your regular physician as well, not just the doctor at the clinic. It's important to get an unbiased view of the diet and how it affects your personal health along the way.

Good luck

Why dont you just each 800 calories of carrots instead? It might still be not enough calories in comparison to this cookie diet but at least it's healthy.

I have to agree with Suzanne that I really wouldn't recommend this.

I have done a lot of reading about it, with both good and negative feedback from users.

I was checking to see if anyone here had tried it.

I need a more structured diet and have tried Medifast which had to be the nastiest tasting stuff I have ever tried. Very bitter to me.

I was doing Pure Weightloss, but then we all know they closed. I had paid for a year more too and of course never will see any money back from that.

I have also tried weight watchers, which is a good program, but as mentioned I just need something more structured I guess.

Thanks for your feedback. I will keep thinking it over. I do believe we all have to find our own path and what works for us.

Have you tried South Beach? The phases are structured and has a good reputation for getting the weight off and keeping it off. We have a South Beach forum filled with info on the plan, maybe that will give you another option to consider
