Those robins must be cute!! I think we have to build a ramp for Al to get in the houscourse Brad has complicated plans about it but I say keep it simple. We live on the second floor but there is a 3 and a half foot deck in the back-the front has a spiral staircase-no way. As long as we own the house, she will be coming here-you never know, we might need it for ourselves. Candice, please use sunscreen when you go out. Bye for now. Mima

Meme...will you have Ross for the summer too? I hate it when I find out that someone talked about me behind my back but I suppose we all do it in some fashion.
I do have the South Beach Diet book but I just can't seem to DIET. I really do not like the word or concept anymore. So much of my angst right now is not about the number of POUNDS, but where they landed in the last few years It all seems to be in my waist. Even after having twins I was always thin waisted. To put on pants or pantyhose and have that flab around my middle is obnoxious. A girdle wouldn't help, that would just send that flab to my thighs
Hello to everyone else...hope all is well!

No, not this year. He's going to a program the school system here has worked out where they rotate schools and they do different things. Like swimming for awhile, and bowling for awhile, etc. He's really looking forward to it and I'm glad I'm not keeping him for the whole summer. I love him to death but having him here 5 days a week from 7 AM to 5 or 6 PM just wears me out. I've had Jenna from Tuesday until right now (her dad is supposed to be here any minute now) and I'm about killed. A 5 year old takes a lot out of you, too. I have a rough couple of weeks ahead of me, too. I have a singing tonight, a funeral tomorrow and dinner with friends tomorrow night and church Sun. Then next week I'll have the usual teaching piano and getting ready for my trip plus memorizing all those songs, etc. Friday night is Jenna's graduation from preschool and then Sat. I'm leaving for NC ... we'll be coming back on Monday and Vacation Bible School starts on Monday night and goes through Friday night and then the Women's conference is Saturday and the closing program for VBS is on Sunday night. I'll be ready for a stay at either a hospital or a mental institute by the time all that is over!

Candice - an after sun lotion with Aloe is the best thing for a sunburn. Buy a bottle at Wal Mart the next time you are there and keep it on hand.

She has had 2 miscarriages so we pray for her all the time but her pregnancy seems to be going well. My SIL and I will also got to the Norman Rockwell Museum there-I have been before and it's awesome. Have a great weekend Mima

Hi to all of you.

Well, busy week.

My son got engaged on Tuesday and they came home last night to show us the ring. They will get married in October. Jackie (his girlfriend) has a 5 yr. old son, named James. So, I guess we get a daughter-in-law, plus another grandchild. He is a really cute, hyper child. Drives me nuts, but that is a whole other story.

My life-long girlfriends, dad passed away, so I have a funeral to go to on Monday, in Edmonton, so that is a 2 hr. trip oneway, so I will probably spend the night in the city and come home on Tuesday sometime. Then another girlfriend is coming to visit me on Wednesday and staying until Thursday, so I will have a pretty busy week.

Ally, nice to hear from you. Wouldn't it be nice if just reading the book worked

Meme - busy, busy, busy as always. Take it easy!!

Candice - Well, your son is gone again, so what excuse do you use now for making cookies

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.

I left my house at 11 AM this morning and didn't get home until 8:30 tonight. I'm so tired! Still have to take a shower and it's 11 PM. We cleaned the church, ran errands, went to the funeral, then over to the Association building where the conference is going to be to check out the PA system - had to see what kind of equipment I will need to take with me to sing. Then we went to dinner with friends and back to their house for dessert.

Hmmm... 5 yr. old ... isn't that about the same age as your granddaughter? So they can play together. I have a hyper granddaughter so I know what that's like! I had her from Tues. to Fri. and she about drove me nuts (but she's a sweetie). The important thing is: Do you like the daughter-in-law? Not being able to get along with a daughter-in-law is every mother's worst nightmare!

Ally ... I hate dieting, too ... that's why I quit!

I have been taking baking soda baths to help with the sting and now the itch!!!!! Not working...I tried and aloe spray too...not working.........Time.........and now I have to mow again, you can besure I will be all covered up this time!

One of the baby birds jumped out of the nest and onto my head and got stuck in my hair!!!!!! then he pooped down the front of me....Yuck! I got him back in the nest (the whole time the mother was fussing at me )and he jumped out again, put him back again and he is out so out he stays. The momma bird like to fuss at my kitties that sit in the basement windows too.

Do any of you know how many steps it takes on a pedometer to = a mile?????? My stride is set at 14". I have two of them cause my WW one didn't seem to work right, it only counts half of the steps.

I'm really glad I do not have grandkids or daughter-in-laws yet...not sure I want any either!

Default Hey There

Today and yesterday has been catch up for me. I really enjoyed having my daughter here. We ate out and went to the mall. The son took us out in the boat for part of the day sat. We caught some fish ,none I wanted to bring home or clean. It was really hot out there.
My son moved most of his things. Mainly his dog. Labs shed so much. It was vacumn every day for me. I will be cleaning up hair for the next month. He isn't going to stay in this house long. He is trying to buy one near the gulf. Then he will rent this one out too. It is a upstairs living. His dog can't/won't go up or down the stairs. He has to carry him up and down 4 times a day. Not easy and work full time. I bet he will work that out by the weekend.
We got a good rain last night and expect more today.. We need it. It has been dry a long time.
Aloe; I forgot about that. I keep a planter full for burns. They also sell it by the bottle in most pharmacys. Lots of lotion helps. I got a sunburn a few years ago. I got sun poisoning along with it. Nasty stuff. Had to go to Dr. and get something for the itching. Nothing over the counter helped...
Bye for now...Joanne
