    Ok ...I just finished up my first full week of eating very healthy, chicken, fish, fruits veggies, and whole grains...and tad bit of dairy. I managed to average around 21 pts a day for the week so I should see a loss next week. Now to get through the week with my DS home (will be here Sunday I think for a week) and celebrating his 24th BD...Uuuuggggggh I still do not want to temp myself with sweet treats, afraid I will not stop but when my 5 pounds is gone it's cookie time again!

    Up and down the step stool cleaning the fronts of my cupboards and squatting to do the lower ones....I feel the burn! Doesn't take much for me
  • Well I found out what happened to that girl-her heart rate had slowed to 20 beats a minute and she had a pacemaker put in . Doc said it wasn't the diet. However, I think you need all things in the diet which South Beach includes. I try to only eat complex carbs and I maintain well. Let's not talk about last night's potluck. I ate so much sugar-homemade candy and cake and icecream-Now I have to go through withdrawal. I will probably get cravings today-3 more days til Mike's birthday-I am going to be good. Way to go Candice. I have made oatmeal raisn cookies with Spenda and they taste good-then you can control the fat and use healthy grains-oatmeal being one of them. Brad is putting in an airconditioner in the bedroom for during the day-it's brutal in there and I like to take a nap in the pm. Golf was fun-I had the highest score in our group-even the novice did better than me. Oh yeah-I am trying to get Brad to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity down here, He is interested. I have to remember that he just retired and it is an adjustment period. Probably going to a Red Sox game on Sun with Mike-but he only has 2 tickets. Jill isn't interested, not Brad and Al-who loves baseball-can't get to the front row where the seats are-guess I win. Bye for now-Mima

    Hello Everybody- Well I guess I got lucky at TOPS. I was 1/2 lb down.. Nothing to brag about but I'll take it. If I am real good I might get another 1/2 off next week. :lol

    My son had supper ready when I got home last night. Birthday cake and all. He said he was bringing something light. It was light alright.KFC!!!but ,I guess for a working guy he did OK. I got a lot of nice cards and gifts for my birthday. I said last week I thought it was time to stop having birthdays. Now ,I 'm not sure.. I like the goodies.
    Mima- We have to watch what we eat and the nutrition in whatever diet we use. South Beach is OK but not something anyone wants to stay on.. I had to more or less get back to my WW way of eating although I am still staying away from the white carbs. SB only worked for a short time..I don't think I am getting enough exercise. But I am working on it..I used to be able to walk every day and I didn't let weather be an excuse not to. Now it seems harder..Maybe I am just getting younger and hurt more.I worked in my yard for an hour today. I feel every minute of it now.I try to do some thing everyday that I don't walk.I should have a nice flower garden soon.
    Meme- I am glad you are feeling better. I had eggs and ham for supper. I drink green tea all day..
    Candice- I made the fudge.. My hubby loved it. It is good,I had a couple pieces or so It was so easy to make!
