I haven't been driving at all because we only have Brad's Dodge 2500-it's so big. Seems to be working out-he takes me where I need to go-not too many extra places. Just got a call that the ice is backing up on our roof-person who is supposed to plug in the heated cables didn't but now they are plugged in. Have to tell them to plug it in when it snows-don't want all our hard work and money down the drain. Thank God someone went to the house-the pastor who is sanding the floors. Went to the spelling bee-she won agai!n!!It was awesome-they challenged her because the announcer mispronounced the word which gae her a hint but she spelled another word too. Winning words-precipice,chelate, narcissus!!On to the County March 25th. Hubby is making me a laundry chute so we can put the dirty clothes under the trasiler without going outside. Gaithers tonight. My back hurts too!!Using a heating pad. Finished all my ironing that I brought with me and rearranged the teeny closets. Eating has been op for 2 weeks now but the scale has not moved....I know exactly what you are saying ....so hard to eat less and so easy to eat more especially cookies! Good morning. The roof leaked at home-heater cables weren't on soon enough-hopefully it's solved. My back is acting up-went to take dog in and it went in spasm. Going to try the Capracin. Brad is putting in a laundry chute but having a little trouble-it's in a small space next to the toilet. We had haircuts yesterday-I miss my hairdresser but mine's ok. The price was right. Alison is sick-too much stress from the spelling bee. My brother has walking pneumonia!!!Winter!!!The temps change so much during thje day and night, We have the heat on during the night and the airconditioning during the day. Gotta go shopping -it rained too hard yesterday. We all need to be good to ourselves. mIMA

Well, I have been in the house since Monday - haven't left once, except for 15 min. to run to the store on Monday night. It has been just too cold, with temps. hitting 40 below zero and warming up to 35 below zero during the day. I think today is one of the first days we MIGHT get out of the deepfreeze. Well, whatever, I am getting out of this house. Hope you all have yourselves a good day.
Tomato Rotini 2pts Serves 12 (1 cup servings)
Prep 15 Min cook 9 HR + 20 Min (Slow Cooker meal)
4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
4 cups tomato juice
1 TBS dried basil leaves
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp pepper
2 medium carrots sliced (1 cup)
2 medium stalks celery sliced (1 cup)
1 medium onion chopped (1/2 cup)
1 cup sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 1/2 cups uncooked rotini pasta (4 1/2 ounces)
Shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired
1. Mix all ingriedents except pasta and cheese in 5 quart slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8-9 hrs.
3. Stir in pasta and increase to high temp, cover and cook for 20 minutes or untill tender. Sprinkle each serving with cheese.
Sent the choc mint brownies I made to work with DH..they turned out way too good, tried a new recipe and it was almost 9 pts a piece!!!!!!!!!!!! next time I will try to make low fat brownies and use the mint topping but they will still be around 4 pts..... Things that are bad for you just taste way too good
Good morning-it's still raining but when it stops , it's going to be beautiful for days. Mike is making corn beef and cabbage for the Superbowl. Go Patriots. Brad is still coming up with more ideas for the trailer-the laundry chute is under the trailer in the storage bin!!Not out in the open at all. Daughter had to go in the hospital tonight. Blood clot in her leg so she has to stay completely off her feet for a few days. I'll have my hands full this week. Hubby went over to her house and got her things. I am having to wash some of her PJs and her robe and then take everything to her in the morning. I'll have the kids tomorrow night because her husband has a class from 6 to 9. Guess we'll just have to do the best we can. Don't know how much more of this I can handle.
I didn't talk to one person yesterday that didn't have a health concern-We went to Mike's house for the Superbowl and corned beef and nachos-Alison is sick-took a chance. What a game-and I think we won some money because we had the correct score at the end on a pool. I only bet 10$. May have won a hundred-at least $0. Absolutely hated the half time show-didn't even see the part about Janet Jackson and he breast. What about us old decent folks-I like to see fireworks and dance formations. Anyhow-way to go Tom Brady. We are going back to mike's today for Jill's bd. She's 40 and 7 months pregnant. Ha!!They are having lobster but we are having steak. Daughter is in pretty bad shape... somebody has to be there for her. Her husband is home throwing up and can't do anything. Somebody probably needs to be there for him but I refuse to go inside the house. He has 2 perfectly healthy parents so I feel like that's their job!!! His folks never do much when they are in 'need' ... it's ALWAYS me they call on so I'm not going to risk getting that virus unless it becomes absolutely necessary ... like if one of the kids gets it or something! I have Jenna tonight and tomorrow and probably at least tomorrow night ... don't know beyond that. Had to get Ross after school, too. Give them baths, get them something to eat and then take them to see their mom. Then we took Ross home. His teacher lives right across the street from them so she is taking him to school tomorrow. She has been best friends with Paula since they were in 4th grade.
I helped Paula take a 10 minute shower this morning and she was hurting so bad after I got her back in the bed she had to have a pain pill. I tried to get her to stay in the bed but she just HAD to have that shower! The Dr. said the blood clot is really deep in her leg and she'll have to keep it up for quite a while. She's on Coumadin and he said there's a good chance she may have to take it the rest of her life... plus she had to GO OFF her birth control pills. If she has another baby I'll kill her!!! I know... I'll just ship it to Joanne!!!
My Dr. called me in some Benzonatate for my cough ... I was up almost ALL NIGHT coughing last night. I tried to take a nap after I got back from the hospital this afternoon but the phone rang three times and then I started coughing again! I'm soooo tired. I'm going to bed and see if I can sleep a little before baby Jenna gets me up in the morning!
Hope everybody's backs are better. I don't think mine is going to get better until I can get rid of this cough... my ribs are really sore, too.

My back is still hurting-have to do something about it-whirlpool, swim. If I was home I would get massage or go to chiro. I must have dyslexia-I had the numbers backwards so we didn't win any money. The thing about that halftime show us that fanilies were watching. I do not choose to watch MTV-although I watch a couple of soaps. I remeber wholesome shows=I'd like to teach the world to sing-etc. Funny thing is that was Michael Jackson. Joanne, there is a chance we might go to Largo on Sat to a train show-I'm not sure right now because Alison is sick and we have been over there.Don't want to catch it but had to go to Superbowl and Jill's BD which was a lot of fun.
