Default Hey There

Ally- Don't rely too much on the Dr.'s to give anymore than you make them. A girl would have to be 25 and weigh 125 to get a rise out of most of them. And a Dr. is the one who told me that. I asked him what kind of a physical he gave. That was his answer. It is true they pay little attention to the senior citizen.
Like me ,You may wake up someday and think that you don't give a hang what anyone thinks, just look good for yourself and the ones who love you..That is all that matters,in the long run...You will have a star in heaven for the good things you do for others..
Mima- How dare you throw out your hubby's books! Mine has a room full of junk I would like to throw out..He probably wouldn't miss it ,but,it would be my luck he would..
You are really into the ball games.I wish my insurence would pay for me to go to a pool..
Anagram-Happy 45 years.. Sorry you missed your night out.. You can still do it..
I have been working real hard to get off a few more lbs, I have been doing the south beach diet.. It is not something I will be willing to maintain forever. I still keep track of my points.I will eventually go back to Maintaining with points and a more livable diet. I am hungry a lot on this eating plan..Although it says to eat a snack between meals ,I haven't done much of that..Snacking has been a problem for me..
Keep well everybody...Joanne

HI Xtine This Fibro stuff stinks I know...hope you can try the oxy tapes meme suggested for starters. This has to be a way of life just take baby steps and make tiny changes in your eating if you cannot exercise much. I go in spurts with my eating and exercising....but have been at goal for a while now. It is just plain hard I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE can do this....I keep telling myself that anyway.

Hi all. I'm off today to play with my princesses for a few days. Their Daddy left on a trip to Egypt last night so we're going down to help Mom out while he's gone.

Sort of in a down mood the last couple of days since we had to cancel our getaway. Hope their cheery energy will snap me out of it and back on to the healthy eating I was doing earlier last week. I know I'll get a lot of exercise with them.

Hi Candice-good to hear from you. I finally got some sleep-couldn't even nap because of the ball game-they won again-one to go. Did something stupid-went to a service at church and ate afterwards. Now this is funny-if we eat first, I have lots of gas, Not good before a service. Best thing is to have bigger meal at noon on Sunday. But that means planning!!!Hi everyone-love this fall weather. It gives me energy. And I am so psyched to go away for 3 months. Mima

Default Hey There

Mima- Tell him he won't be a baseball hubby after the games are over. We watched the Bucs last night and it was a shocker. They lost ,but, the colts coach was due that win. He used to be coach for the Bucs and the Glazers fired him by phone when he lost the last game of that season. All the players and fans were upset about that. But you know how big business is.Now Jon Gruden is a good coach. He took them to the Championship.
It is something to read where some of you are having hard freezes and we are still in the 80's.
Bye for now- Joanne

Good morning.

Mima - Got Dr. Phil's book and started reading. I am not very far into it - yet! Will be after today. He has a great sense of humor. Well, women are usally the sports "widow", so this is a good change

Joanne - Well, you would think I lived in Florida!!! The past week, we have had temps. up in the 80's during the day. Nice fresh mornings, hot afternoons and cool evenings - PERFECT, PERFECT, WEATHER!

Candice - Glad you got your garden pulled up. I don't know why those men of yours don't help you. My hubby would NEVER have let me to do that. I guess if YOU get satisfaction out of it, then the pain could be worth it. Glad your dog is a little better. Hope your computer gets fixed. Hate it when they don't work right.

Anagram - Belated happy 45th ! A lot of years under the belt there. I am sure you were disappointed not being able to go on your trip. Unfortunatley, life took over. Enjoy your grandkids.

Well, I guess Meme is away on her holiday. Hope she is sitting by the pool, RELAXING.

Hi Ally - How is it going? No snow here! It did snow a hundred miles South of here but not in EDMONTON. This is a great long Fall, better know as INDIAN SUMMER to us. It is supposed to cool of by the weekend and get into the 60's. That is find as well. It is the 30 BELOW that I don't like

This past weekend went to two birthday parties - one for my cousin, who turned 60, and one for my son's girlfriends little boy, who turned 5. That took care of Saturday and Sunday. Then, we went for a walk along the river. Edmonton has the most beautiful river valley, and it is alive with color right now. I will try get a couple of pictures posted.

Well, everyone have a great day.

Default Hey There

Happy- I thought it was cold up there. Occording to the weather reports we get down here. It is in the 80's just not quiet as humid.. It is a lot more pleasant than it has been..
I have worked out in the yard lately and it has been not too bad..
Hello everybody.
Hope you are having a good week...Joanne

Hi Ladies. Do any of you have eye problems when you are in a flare up??? All of a sudden it feels like I need a stronger prescription. I can't see
at night at all, and even during the day I am squinting. But this happened all of a sudden.
Today one eye was red, and then I got a migraine.
Arghghghghghghg!!!!!
Happy....I will have to read Dr. Phil's book sometime. His wife says they never argue. She said "I know my place. I am a wife and mother". Something about that bugged me a bit. But it must work for her!!

Hi Ally. My eyes get bad - really blurry, and then all of a sudden they go back to where they were. Asked the Opthamologist about it and the connection to FM. He said they didn't know enough about it(FM) to know if it affects the eye muscles. I personally believe it does.

Also - I argue. Guess I don't know my place, but I am not going to be subserviant to anyone!! My goodness, what a thing to say.

The picture in my signature, is the river valley in Edmonton. It is absolutely beautiful in all seasons, but especially colorful in the Fall.

What a beautiful picture-we haven't great color yet but some. I love Fall. I am reading Phil's book one chapter at a time and trying to do what it says but I guess the secret is to do one thing at a time. And you guys are a wonderful support group as it says in one of the chapters. Oh, my eyes drive me crazy. And I have allergies-use eye drops sometimes. Lots of mold around. I have cataracts too so I get concerned but too early to operate. I have been cleaning big time-having some people over to celebrate Brad's retirement Nov 2-great motivation to clean-do windows. But today I am going to walk and tomorrow swim. Called the hotel and they said they had water aerobics but I don't do well with those. We'll see. I am so much better since I take that med.Hope you are relaxing Meme. Bye Mima

Happy....I think when I am in a flareup that my eye muscles weaken. And in a few weeks when I crawl out of this hole, they will be fine.
A bug blew through my work. Lot of people going home with headache and chills. I had it last nite. Told people it is not much worse than how I usually feel!!!!
Mima....I think Dr Phil uses common sense and I like that. I wish that he would take the proceeds from his book and help a lot more really mobidly obese people get help.
The other night on 20/20 when they talked about the salaries of actors it made me sick. Raymond makes 1.8 million an episode. All of the cast of Friends make 1 million. There is no one on the face of this earth worth that kind of money. There are kids whose sports programs will be deleted from their school budget, there are kids homeless and starving, some elderly can't get prescriptions filled.....but TV actors are zillionares......

Ally that bugged me too aboutt he salaries, Teachers should make more than actors but that is not they way things are set up!

Beautiful picture Happy! My DH is fine with nothing being done but it bugs me so I do it! He figures I do not work outside the home and he does.......he does not care how I feel unless it interfers with the woopee time!

Mima..I get gas too when I eat, some days things don't bother me and other days it is like everything bothers me and the bloating..oh my....well poop!

Hi Joanne, anna and Meme

Been trying to suck up the lady bugs with the sweeper that are in the house and it hurts my neck to reach up high so I'm having headaches Trying to not over do in the yard...does this mean we are getting old since we all get stiff

The dog had a realy bad day Monday and so did I but she is back up and moving again, we are talking again about putting her down, you can here her bones rub together when she walks (we think that is the noise we are hearing) She has lost so much muscle from not being active. DH still thinks she is fine and will not make the appointment..it is all up to me!

Candice-sorry about the dog. Ally-I know about getting a virus-you just feel achier than you normally do-sometimes you don't even know you are sick. I didn't take my med last night hoping I would sleep late-wrong!! And Brad woke me up to tell me the Sox won and I styaed awake for a while then. Going swimming today-that should help-went to find a Speedo bathing suit at Sam's and they were gone. I'm afraid to buy online because of the size and will it fit. Maybe someone still has one in the stores. I had to throw the other one away because it was too loose-all stretched out/ It's going to be gorgeous today-high 70's. Bye for now Mima
