Hope everyone makes it over to the new thread!

I think I'm addicted to shrimp...just got through eating 20 jumbo!

It's supposed to snow today... not a lot ... just enough to make me hurt! Gotta go clean some more ... only have 2 1/2 hrs. 'till time to start teaching again.

Supposed to snow here tonight too. Hopefully nothing major. Dh and I did a lot of running today so plan to be homebodies most of tomorrow before we take off Thursday. Will be back Friday, son and wife coming Sat for Dh's birthday, leaving Sunday. Dh's brother stopping in Monday briefly on his return trip from son's in CT. He and wife were here for dinner last night en route north. Feeding people with such disparate tastes and with some medical limitations in some cases is just getting to be too tough. On dh's regimen, I no longer keep all sorts of things here. So sometimes these visits mean major grocery shopping. I used to always be well supplied for sudden guests but no more esp. right now as we're working down the larder before we leave for FL

I don't buy gifts for a crew of people any more. Really basically only the two kids and spouses, the grandkids, dh and my mother. A few people I give baked goods, sometimes a nominal exchange with my three sisters. These are usually a little item we see on sale real cheap and some of us do it when the mood strikes us and other years not. Very casual. It's more the idea of it being "right", something we figure we'd all like and definitely on sale.

So I have a start (grandkids are done - where else would I start?). I have one gift each for three of the kids and spouses. However, I usually get them three each. This year I'm cutting back to two each (and sometimes one is a shared couple gift). So I've done a little shopping, a little baking, and some cards. Plus dh and dd have birthdays between now and Christmas. I think I'd better hustle.

Didn't get a lot of snow. Some still on grass, trees.

Busy day, of course. But I weighed in today and lost 1.2 since last week. this means I've finally lost 10% of starting body weight and my BMI has gone from a 43 to under 39.

Tried on some 18s last night and got in them at least. A few more pounds and I'll be again in the misses sizes. I somehow seem to have missed 20s on the way up - maybe I can skip them on the way down.

Don't want to buy much just for Dec and I have some things for FL that are just waiting for me to dig them out. Won't mind buying summer things as I'll wear them a lot longer, I'm sure.

Anyway, hope all (including our Canadian friends) have a great day tomorrow and a good weekend. Cya next week.

Angry Happy Thanksgiving, Fibropals

Well, I sure hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. Ymmm, I can taste the turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie. I hope that you all arrive at your destinations safely.

We are having a most unusual day today - for the end of November! It is going into the high 50's or low 60's. I have to get of the house today, and enjoy it. Tomorrow, we could be 20 below It really does change that fast here!

Everyone maintain at least. Anagram, good going on that loss!

Meme - I like shrimp, but I think I must have an allergy to it, because everytime I eat it, I get all stuffed up.

Have yourselves a great few days here - hopefully pain free!

Default Hey There

Happy- Thank You and I hope you will have a nice day also..I cooked most of the day yesterday..About time for a supper I thought I was done for the day. I reached up in shelf to get a dish to put some dressing in to put away. A glass top came crashing down ,breaking and spraying glass everywhere. Needless to say . The pot of dressing went into the trash. So I had to start all over again from scratch.. What a day. I was in bed with a pain pill and the heating pad by 9 pm.Nothing dramatic should happen today.. I hope.. There will be just 3 of us for dinner. For one of the first times ,I invited no extra people for a Holiday. There will be a lot of leftovers..

I hope all of my friends will have a" GREAT THANKSGIVING."
Anagram - what part of Florida are you coming to?I live on the west coast. I am with you..I hit the sales and sale racks first. I also am trying to cut back on the amount of gifts.
Does any of you have Msm? I just had a great conversation with my daughter and It was free..
Bye
Joanne

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving. Now, for you of my faith, Have a Happy Chanukah. I hope I can get back to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I had trouble getting back on and had to get another password. This is a belated Happy Thanksgiving note.

My kids are tearing thru my house looking for ski stuff...can't wait for peace and quiet!!!

Hello everyone,
I hope it is ok for me to post here. I to have fibro. And to tell you the truth it is so hard on me.

I will tell you a little about my self. I a 30 year old mom of three children. Savannah age 7, Maddison age 5 and my angel boy David age almost 6 months. I call him my angel boy because I had gallbladder surgery in Sept. of last year and 10 days later we found out about me being 6 weeks preg. with David. they did an o/s to see if he was ok and they found a mass 10 cm on my ovary well in Jan of this year I had to have surgery to have the ovary removed ( I was 5 months preg then) . He made it through all the surgery and he was the reason they found the mass. He was 2+ weeks late and weighed 10 pounds 3 oz when he was born.
and I also graduated from college with honors when I was 9 months preg.

my fibro was not so bad when I was preg. however in the winter time it gets more painful. so you all get like that to???

How so you all cope with the pain and tiredness of fibro??

Hope to get to know you all better

Melissa
