Good morning everyone (in some cases good afternoon). It is quite pleasant outside. After our little taste of winter, it has 'cleared the air' and gotten intothe 60's.
Meme - Sounds like you are having fun and getting the rest you need. Hope the cruise goes well.
Freddie - You have had a very interesting job. Sounds great. Too bad they wouldn't let you do your passion, though. That would have made everything so much more rewarding for you. Anyway, I love your humor and your gusto. I wished we all lived closer, as I would love to see you all, face to face.
Candice - Hope you get some shoes that work for you. Seems like this has been going on for quite awhile now! You will be shoeless soon if this keeps up:lol
Ally - I also want to pay 9.99 for shoes, but endup paying in the $100.00's. I have a narrow foot and I always have worn shoes with good support - to do that, you HAVE to pay!!!
Serenity - How goes the sale of tupperware? Hope you are feeling better now.
Anagram and Joanne - You gals are off having an enjoyable holiday! Hope you both feel well and that you enjoy yourselves immensely.
Mima - I hope you get happy! It probably is the different HRT. The one we have all been taking also relieves mood swings.
I asked my Dr. about Premarin and he told me to stay on it. He has been in practice for many years, and he sees so many women that take HRT, and most of them never get cancer. Some do, but they may have anyway. Now, I have been trying alternatives and I haven't had a decent sleep for over 6 months, so two days ago, I started back on Premarin. I can't stand those night sweats. I guess, my thinking is, I want to enjoy when I am here, because in the end, I am going to die from something!!!!
Meme, I started on the Atkins Diet, and have been on the Induction for 4 full days - today starts day 5. The thing I noticed most, was the fatigue hasn't bothered me at all. On Monday, I went for groceries and when I came home, I ate a lunch of carbs (a sandwich and a piece of fruit) within half an hour of eating this, I was so tired again. So, I am thinking for me, the fatigue is carb related. I have been eating meat (all I want to feel satisfied) and 2 cups of salad a day and 1 cup of cooked or raw veggies. I can have cheese, so I have had that for a snack, along with a pepperoni stick and my carb cravings are gone. My mind isn't, however. I still see a plate of cookines and my brain says "go for it", so I have had to really keep myself in check, but I have. The best news is that I have lost 6 pounds, so that is great news for me. It took me months to lose that on ww.
So, no fatigue, and the weightloss makes or a very, very HappyCanuk
Ally, with your carb cravings, you might want to give it a try. My Dr. told me to try it. He lost a lot of weight on it, and is feeling really healthy. A friend of mine was on Atkins and got off her Cholestrol meds. They are changing their minds about carbs, saying that they are responsible for heart disease. This I heard on the news a few nights ago.
I tallied up the points out of curiosity last night and the really amazing thing is that I am well UNDER the points that ww allows, and I am very content and happy. If I am hungry, I can just go grab a snack and eat until satisfied. I have tried Atkins before, but I did cheat on the Induction and that is why it never worked for me before. This time, I am being a really good girl - at the end of two weeks, I get to add another 5grms of carbs, and will do so until I stop losing, then I just cut back.
Sorry for the book, but Meme needs to know this and so does Ally.
