You guys are a hoot! I just hopped on this board for the first time and you have me in stitches.
I have fully recovered from chronic fatigue syndrome and like to "chat" with others with similar challenges. I was diagnosed two years ago and had no idea how I was going to take care of my kids, my job...oh yeah and me! It took about 3 months (no help from the lame suggestions I had from the doctor that diagnosed me..."get some rest") and for the last 18 months, I have been great...and have kid number 3 in the mix!!
I don't know anything about oil furnaces, except that I don't want one!

Good morning fibrogals
Effenbee and jlh, welcome to our little thread.
Now jlh, I would be interested in HOW you recovered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Care to share?
Ok all you Americans on the western side - it is getting to be snow time, and this afternoon we are going to have 'snow showers'. It is also cold our just under 40 today. (I live in western Canada for those who don't know).
Good news is that I am finally on the other side of this flair - I hope. I feel so much better, painwise, today that I have for a week. My arms are not hurting so much and the fatigue is subsiding.
I hope you all have a good day.

Oh Yeah!
With an oil furnace, do you have to put the oil in there or what? I remember when I was in Denmark, they had heat by oil. Also, propane stinks. I don't like that smell at all. We have heat by natural gas here. In British Columbia, they use a lot of electric heat. I just take this natural gas for granted and never really thought about how everyone heated their homes. Is the oil expensive?

Hey There
Welcome jlh....effenbee...Tell us a little about yourselves...
Happy!!! Snow! It is still in the 90's here. We will have another storm coming into the gulf, but,it is unlikely we will even get much rain from it. I live in the west central part of Fl.They get it above and below us a lot. We will get cool weather about the end of next month if we are lucky.
Candice- I hope you are feeling better. I woke up today with a few more places to complain about. As if that will do any good. I think anxiety about my trip is bringing it on. I am really looking forward to it.
Hello Ally,Mima,Meme.Anagram.Serenty,I hope you are feeling great...Bye,Joanne

Not much to tell about me except I am always tired tired tired. Have an appointment to have a couple of heart tests on Oct. 14th. My son who lives in California said he might get a flight to Virginia so he can go with me. I will believe it when I see him. I have even had his flight number, airplane, and arrival time on my calendar and he makes changes at the last minute. Will let you know after the 22nd, when I have an appointment with the Heart Specialist to discuss the results of his tests.
Love, Freddie N. Bloch

Hi Freddie
I sure hope all goes well with your heart tests. That is serious business. That fatigue, whatever it is caused from is the pits. I just am getting over a week of it and I am so happy to be back to as normal as I get
I have arthritis and Fibromyalgia and some days are better than others. Still, nothing really to complain about, when I see what some people live with.
Hope your day is going well

Welcome, FNB and jlh. FNB, I see you're in Hampton. My dear bro lived there for years. I liked the beach area, of course.
Dr. called today. Recent bloodwork revealed slightly low thyroid and I start med tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how much of this exhaustion I lose. He's tested it regularly for years and nothing ever came up so it was a surprise tonight when he said that. I think I was more tired tonight even than usual. It was like he gave me permission to be. either that or I was worn out from lunch guests. I don't think I've done a thing since they left and we cleaned up. No, that's not true. We went to the park and took a nice walk. But I had had great plans...
Oooh, snow. No, not ready for that yet.

Hi Anagram:
Does your brother still live in Hampton? Your sentence sounded like he lived here in the past. My son loves Buckroe Beach. Whenever he comes here we have to ride there to see what's for sale on the
Chesapeake Bay. Usually nothing anymore. I should have purchased one of those houses on stilts years ago. They are a fortune now.

Unfortunately, Freddie, my brother passed away about seven years ago. In Hampton. He had lived in that area since he was in the Air Force and stationed near there. And I haven't been back to Buckroe since. The last time I was there there seemed to be a lot of renovation going on in that area.

Joann...I'm having an arthritis flare up AND a HUGE fibro flare up. Just what we need with our trips coming up! I'm afraid we (hubby and I) are going to head into a hurricane. We are headed for the Gulf on Friday...
Hubby's uncle died and the funeral was today. I went from 2 hrs. in a freezing cold funeral home to another hour outside in the sun and then another 2 hrs. in a damp church basement. Now I'm about to DIE with pain!
Have 2 Dr. appointments, nail apointment, PT appointment...Kaylyn 2 days and have to teach tomorrow night and Thursday morning. With all that going on...I have to get clothes and food ready for 9 days and pack it all! I only have 3 days to get all that done in!!! Plus, I have to board the dog, get prescriptions filled, pick up some groceries and get my gold shot before I leave.
On that note...I think I will go to bed now! I have to get back up 6 hours and start again! But...there is a rainbow at end of the tunnel (this may be more true than I know if the hurricanes don't pass before the weekend!)

I was sorry to read about your brother. Phoebus, where I live (near Fort Monroe) hasn't changed much except for the renovations the city fathers made, which I think is horrible. Mercury Blvd., named for the Astronauts and the Mercury Project, is always being worked on. The city fathers again is ruining this place - buying land, helping the rich get richer and the poor tax payers poorer. You can't fight city hall although I try to.
I for 43 years worked at Langley Field but for NASA instead of the Air Force.
Thanks for writing.
Freddie

Anagram...is it low thyroid or high thyroid that causes weight gain? I'm also interested to see how the medicine affects your tiredness..and your weight loss!
Effenbee...I was born in Richmond, VA!
