I go in tomorrow for the surgical biopsy. I will hopefully have the results by Tuesday's dr. appt. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayer's for calmness and peace. Even though it is out patient surgery, I am still a nervous wreck. I will be out of it for a day or two, but promise to place a quick post sometime over the weekend to let you guys know that I am alright.
Just a quick post to let y'all know I made it through surgery fine. Other than a horrible case of dry-heaves Thursday night and my neck being EXTREMELY sore, tender and swollen, I am okay. I go to the doc for a post-op appt on Tuesday and will post more after that.
Yaaaahhh!!! I've been checking this thread hourly for the past couple of days. You are on a prayer thread here, too.
SO glad you made it through surgery. Rest up, heal. Let us know how things are...

I am so glad you came through ok. April 3rd I went to the doc with a massive knot in my breast, I am scheduled for a mammogram and sonogram on Tuesday.
Karen - I just found this thread. I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems. I wanted to let you know that DH had non-Hodgkins Lymphoma back in the late 80s, went thru a bone-marrow transplant in '91 and has been cancer free since. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a similar miracle.
I've experience cancer second hand, through work and through my close family. My best advice is the hardest. Regardless of the diagnosis, treat yourself like a queen and a goddess who deserves to be treated with respect and treated person who has (and continues with this diagnosis) to be a HEALTHY and fulfilled woman. It is super scary, so arm yourself with information and will power. ^-^ And love. Lots of love.
Well, I made it through surgery. I had a horrible migraine for a few days and didnt feel like doing squat. My neck is still terribly swollen, tender and sore, but the doc says everything about the wound is ok.
The lab results came back. The final diagnosis is Hodkin's Lymphoma.
The doc was surprised as he thought it would be non-hodgkin's. Either way, it still means chemo and radiation. but at least its treatable. And if it's treatable, it's beatable. IN fact, that's my new motto- IF IT'S TREATABLE, IT'S BEATABLE - migraines, cancer and OBESITY included!
WHEW! TREATABLE! Please take 100% care of yourself, treat yourself well, and this CAN be beaten...
From wikipedia:
Hodgkin's lymphoma is one of the handful of cancers that, even in its later stages, has a very high cure rate, in the 90's.
Most patients who are able to be successfully treated (and thus enter remission) generally go on and live long and normal lives, due to a remission success rate of 90% to 95%.
