gOING HOME TODAY-The hotel had a cake for me yesterday-It's time to stop celebrating but my friends have been so wonderful. The poor groom gets no attention but he does get the bride.I went swimming last night-it felt so good and the pool was warm. Another 9 hrs today and i'm on the rroad. My mail is messed up-I tried to send the wedding cd to people and it tmes out-doesn't get sent-and tries to get sent every time I go to my mailbox. I want to get rid of it!!!!!!!Any help. hope you enjoyed some of your birthday meme. It's nice and warm again-Happy-we have had a bad spring too. Mima

Didn't enjoy ANY of my BD. That was the day they released Mom from the hospital and took her to the Rehab Center 45 miles from here. I was so busy, I forgot all about my BD. I had to go to the hospital and wait on the Dr. Then go to WalMart and buy all the things she would need for Rehab...go back to the hospital and pack her up there. Come home and get rid of all the junk she collected in the hospital and get what she needed from home and pack all that in her suitcase. Then drive to Lebanon and get her settled in her room. The highlight of my day was when I finally got home about 8 p.m....hubby had me a dozen red roses!
I think Mom is improving. She was walking with a cane yesterday and using her left arm a little better. She didn't seem to be as confused, either. I have a Dr. appointment this afternoon (Plus Ross) so we aren't going down until after she has dinner tonight. Yesterday I had to take my M-I-L to the Dr. at 11 and then to get medicine, etc...then went to Lebanon at 4...plus I had Ross. I'm sooooo tired...and all my muscles are just screaming at me! I'm going on Darvocets, Alieve and coffee.
Thanks for all the BD wishes...Candice, thanks for the swinging monkey...Ross loved it! He had me read what it said and laughed. He is going to start in Sylvan's summer program next Tuesday so I won't be having him anymore except for when he is sick or school is out for a holiday. That's good because I'll have my hands full with Mom when she comes home but I'm sure going to miss the little bugger.
Candice- i hope you get the shoes resolved . Otherwise take a hammer to the lump in your shoe and see if that helps. I'm serious. That is probably what they do in the shoe store.

Some of my begonias are starting to rot due to the cold and the flats can't dry out, we have some sun coming this weekend so hope they are not to far gone!
Well the shoes went back and I got a store credit and they sent a catalog of the new fall shoes home at my request, not sure I can wear any of them since my foot is so narrow and I need a strap or a tie! I love my clogs but have to wera thick socks with them, my fet got so skinny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Worked in the yard today too, it was cold and damp but got a lot done, no planting ,but there is so much other stuff to do so I kept busy. Didn't go to bed at all yesterday tired and was anxious so I have been up a loooong time

I'm not losing weoght and i'm not gaining either. Except for me 3 rolls, I am ok. I had such a great week at work but it;s great to be home. brad really missed me but now i know how nice it is when he comes up during the week-other husbands do and we can socilalize. Me and Frank Sinatra (on a CD) are painting my son's room. He has all his junk just piled in the middle of the room. I need a ton of spackle.
Last nite he had two friends over and they slept in my other son's room (wait til he finds out). They were still awake at 3am...and he goes to work now for 8 hrs!

Well...I DID get that day to myself...today...but it wasn't because I wanted it!!! I got sick last night. Woke up about 2 am hurting all over and sick to my stomach. By 6 am my joints felt like somebody had been having a tug of war with my limbs and my temp was 101. It's down to 99.6 now and I'm not hurting quite so bad but this is the first time I've been out of bed all day...now I'm getting sick again so guess I'd better go lay back down and be still before I start puking. Hubby has gone to Lebanon to see about Mom. There was sooooo much I needed to do this weekend! I really hate my life sometimes! But...it could be worse I guess!
Well, Meme it could be worse, I suppose....but you DO have a lot on your plate. I am waiting for spackle to dry. Did one coat yesterday and it did nothing to all the little holes in the wall.
I did so much yesterday that by nite time, I could not bend over. Had to take aspirin.

Meme- I surely hope you are feeling better. Maybe you need to take a step back. When we put my M-I-L in the nursing home we had to tell my hubby to stop going there every day. He was making himself sick. I bet your mom is getting really good care and you probably don't need to be there every day. You probably caught a bug,but emotions play a big part in your getting sick too.
Ally- I bet you will have to use that spackle a couple times before you cover the holes . It shrinks when it drys. I had the same problem.
I need to do some painting in my rooms too. Just can't right now.

Just got back on the computer because my outlook express only wanted to send out the cd-stupid me tried it again and the same thing happened-now it's gone. We had a nice day today-church-2 cemetaries-bought a grill and some plants-hamburgers on george Foreman. We got a Thermos grill that's like the Foreman.Oh Meme-I'm sorry you are sick. Take it easy. Mima, gas or electric and do you mean like the big upright GF Grill? We ned a new gas grill but I was wondering if an electric one would be better for outside?????? We have an old Weber charcoal one now.
We bought a Thermos propane grill-it has the grill work like the GF but it doesn't cook on both sides. It also has a griddle. I like the GF outdoors but it is electric and you buy the stand extra. It was a tossup. We just had the best French toast on a griddle that you put over 2 burners on the kitchen stove. we have gas but it has electric start so it's nice to have propane if you lose electricity. We have a Weber too and as much as we barbecue that will be it. We might use it a couple times of the year. Candice,I sometimes feel I should keep my nose out of other peoples business because they may be insulted by something I say. I spent the last 15 years of my nursing career working in a nursing home. Don't ask me why, I guess I just found that spot and it was where I settled. It, by no means was easy. A lot of the time I was counseling relatives of the patients. It seemed that at times they needed the most help as they found their misunderstood feelings of guilt was hard to cope with.I hope that Meme you understand that I am trying to give you some words that will help you in this trial that you are going through.
Ally- How is the painting going? I think you said your sons were teen agers? They can swing a brush too!It would be good for them. I remember when we needed a new sewer line to the main city connection. My son lined up a group of his buddies ,set out the stereo,blasted out the neighbors and they dug it out. We fed them and gave them a little money. It probably cost more in the long run,but it was worth it.

Well...I'm up...that's about all I can say. I'm so weak...I got dizzy just walking into the kitchen. Only ate a few bites in 2 1/2 days and that made me sick. Hubby made me some scrambled eggs and toast this morning...I kept it down but it hurt my stomach. I've lost 8 pounds since Friday. My stomach still hurts but my temp. is back to normal and my joint and back pain is almost all gone (except for the "regular" fibro, etc.)! I was going to try to go to Lebanon today to see about Mom...I haven't been since Friday night but Hubby talked me out of it. He said he'd go this afternoon and get her dirty clothes and maybe I could go tomorrow. I'm sure she'll live one more day with seeing me! I'm just sooooo tired and it's a 45 minute drive one way...I just don't think I can get dressed and then do all that!
