 We were supposed to get snow all day; but all we had was some nice, fluffy snowflakes for awhile, then it turned to sunny and warm for the rest of the day. I just had to go out and do some SNOW-WALKING to enjoy it (for about 30 minutes or so). I wore my new Parka and was actually very warm and the hood held the north-western winds at bay for me.

We had a busy day with lots of housework, cooking, and such; and the time just flew by. I weighed myself yesterday and was exactly the same as last time. I told Dh that the scale is stuck, so he got on and said he gained a pound and a half, but he weigh himself after dinner, not in the morning like he usually does, so I told him we won't count that one. But wait to you hear this: he weighed a hefty '129.5' pounds ~ hehe! ;)

Actually, I am thrilled that I didn't gain any weight over Christmas and since I was sick, I didn't do my regular walking and exercise as much as I usually do. I am happy just not to gain anything over the winter; that means everything I lost is still gone ~ yeah!!!

Well, that's all for now; have a great week, Chickies ~ from your friend :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Hi fellow chicks

Well this is a flying visit as I am in the middle of formatting my pc. I am using this as a distraction as it is not going so well. I am trying to put on my my drivers for my printer and they just will not go on so I am pulling my hair out :D. I had to reformat as the pc was taking like 5 minutes to start up and with my specs in my pc it should be reasonably fast. It is now swift at starting up but just got a techical hitch.

ROSEBUD Excellent news that you have not put on weight over the period of the year which is noturiously difficult to not do so with not having the opportunity to exercise and the calorie laiden food for thanks giving and christmas. So well done you and be proud of your achievements.

Yesterday I think I walked the length and breadth of England whilst at the shopping centre ;) So slept like a log last night but I am sure that the exercise has done me good. You seem to do more whilst shopping rather that just walking in the local neighbourhood. Managed to buy quite a bit yesterday was concious of making sure that I could get as many outfits as possible with the clothes So lots of mixing and matching going on. DH bought me a pair of dressy shoes  Black with small heel as I can not manage a high heel plus it is covered in quite high so I can keep it on my foot. I have trouble with shoes first as I have a large foot and many shoes are unsuitable as with being a mser I can not keep them on my feet. I can fall over easy enough as it is without help matters a lot with a pair of shoes which don't stop on my feet.

Wow I am fashionable for the first time in my life :D Never been in fashionable clothes due to my weight it was a matter of what fitted and looked nice rather than being the latest trend which was for stick insects :D

Right enough time out I must get down to matters in hand as I can not put it off much longer. Bye all and take care

 Just a fly-by for me too tonight; sunny, but cold out there. Mostly did stuff indoors: our income tax return, bills, and usual daily routine chores, meals, and stuff; very busy day. Am feeling quite a bit better; spent some time tonight answering emails too.

PURPLE ~ glad you had a fun trip and got lots of clothes; now you'll have to rest up from all that walking.

Take care and have a good night :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Hi Ladies

Still putting software back on my pc so having a quick craft break from it ;) The break yesterday did me some good did get my printer drivers to work but the instructions are in German :D Oh well I can live with that for now till I have more patience to fiddle with it again. Don't know how I managed to get it on in German probably never will.

We to have a glorious day. Last night we had an earth quake nothing on the scale of what you see in the states but it what 5.3 it was at just before 1am our time. The epicenter was in a town in the next county to the one I live in but the same as my parents. It lasted for 10 seconds. Apparently it was the strongest one we have experienced in the UK for 10 years.

Time for me to run now got to do my shopping bye bye now and take care all. xxx

 HELLO CHICKIES ~ we woke up to sunshine again; we are getting spoiled, I think. I tried to go out for a walk this afternoon, but only was out there SKI-WALKING for 20 minutes: the winds were so cold, my face and feet were freezing. I'll have to bundle up better than I did today, if I want to go out in those temps tomorrow; maybe it will be a bit warmer. It's the winds that make it so bad really ...

PURPLE ~ wow, you are really having a lot of trouble with your PC. When you say formatting, do you mean wiping the hard-drive clean? My SIL had something go wrong with her PC this month too; she had to call in the experts to get into it for her. Boy, I am so grateful that hasn't happened to me: thank you GOD!

Yes, DH told me this morning that England had an earthquake, but that it wasn't too severe. He knew that I had a friend there; glad everything is OK over there. We had a doozy of one last year; it was kinda scary to me, so I'm glad we don't have them too often here in Canada.

Maybe they offered a language option and accidently picked German; but maybe you can use it by trial and error, if you knew how to use it before. My printer is pretty simple, but it's just a plain old black and white model; but it does the job and that all I care about. I have a picture printer but haven't tried it out yet; been so busy this year. But, I have taken some more pics of the snow; DH is amazed by how much we have, so I just had to take some of him waving behind the snow banks ~ LOL! ;)

Anyways, we had a good day; we've been way busier this year, but I am kinda glad of that really. BTW, my uncle is feeling better and is taking a new kind of Chemo Cocktail that isn't making him as sick. That is sure answered prayer, and we are so glad for that.

WELL, that's all for now; take good care, your friend :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Hi All and Good morning

Seems like it is a nice day we have had a sharp frost this morning. In less than an hour will be leaving to go to the tank. Will take my packed lunch so I am eating around midday rather that 11.30am. Otherwise it would be around 3pm and I find that too late. I tried it a few weeks back and I was feeling that hungry in the tank having my treatment that I began to feel nauseous. So I am not doing that again anytime soon.

ROSEBUD :~ Yes when I talk about reformatting the PC it is wiping the hard drive clean. Fortunately I can do it myself as I have a nephew who taught my DH and I to do it. I also wrote it down instructions whilst I taught. Now we can do it without as we have done it so many times over the years. It has been a year since I last did mine. I am not very keen on doing it so I leave till the last possible moment. Where as my dh will do it at the drop of a hat. It is not the wiping clean that takes the time it is putting back all your software that takes the time I find.

Yes I know how to use my printer as I have used it for a few weeks, Although the printer is different to my previous one but the same make of epson, The only trouble how you put the printer on is very different. We struggled to put the drivers on in the first place but at least the instructions then where in English when I had finished :D

yes earth quakes are very scary and I only imagine how frighten you must feel when the quake lasts for much longer and is much stronger. Glad you do not experience many in Canada either but I have so much sympathy for those who live in areas likely to be effected by them.

Glad your Uncle Tom is feeling better. Chemotherapy can very so very hard on you. I would find it very difficult to deal with and would so much hate to lose my hair, Although if the chemotherapy gave you a chance to live there is not really much choosing to do. I would have to live with hair loss and get a nice quality wig.

Time to go. Gosh time does not half fly by fast when I am on here. bye bye and take care  xxx

 just a fly-by tonight: I was playing with my camera and pics all afternoon (cropping, resizing, storing and so on). Yah the time sure flies when you are having fun. Then tonight, I ended up playing with photos from a nice site someone steered me to. With the added laundry and cooking and such, we had a very full day.

PURPLE ~ hope you have a good day tomorrow; we are supposed to go shopping. It was milder today, so I did get to go out SKI-WALKING for about 30-40 minutes. DH was out there for quite a while to; hope it's the same tomorrow for us. Glad you are figuring out your PC dilemnas (or as a friend used to say, dillammas ~ lol).

Well, I'm pretty tired, so off to bed I go; take good care, your friend :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:

Justwant2Bhealthy 02-29-2008 11:37 PM

 had a busy day shopping and doing errands: got lots of walking in too. My feet and legs are tired and sore; gonna rest all weekend. Not staying up too late tonight, that's for sure.

There's a new month starting, so will start the new thread for March too! Take good care, your friend :hug:ROSEBUD:hug:
