Sorry to put this here, but I am really hurting here. We were in a car accident last night - I think our car is a write off - will be amazing if they can fix it. We were stopping for a light and a half-ton rammed us from behind and pushed us into a half-ton in front of us. I went to emergency last night. The Dr. thought my elbow was broken, and he expected to do surgery on it ; however, it is not. It is swollen (huge) and is really, really bruised. I hurt everywhere, shoulders, neck, mid back, lower back. Had xrays on my neck, lower back and elbow. We got lucky - our guardian angel was looking out for us. Looking at our car, we should have been hurt seriously. You know how FM is,gets everything in a flare. My cousins husband came upon the accident and saw my husband. He didn't see me, and thought I had been taken to the hospital by an ambulance. In the end, he drove us home, and then my husband drove us to the hospital. He is not to bad, a couple of goose eggs on his legs, and a big bruise on his thigh. I yelled at him, as I heard a car sliding and I just knew it was behind US. He caught it is the rear view mirror and braced himself. It was over in a flash. The airbags really work!
Just wanted to let you know why I won't be on the board much. My elbow is really painful - had a morphine shot at the hospital, so that helped, and took some pain killers before bed last night.. I laughed, as the Dr. asked if I had any kind of painkiller, or did I want something. Told him I has OA and FM and was pretty well equipped with meds.
Anyway, guys, I am very happy to be able to sit here and send this message to you. It could have been so much worse.
Mima - I am so happy for you. I know how much you missed him. Enjoy the day.
Meme - girl, you have to learn how to slow down. You are being unkind to yourself, and you body won't take it much longer.
Joanne - Hi. Like you I am usually busy to. I can't stand just sitting around doing nothing. However, I am NOT as busy as Meme. She makes me tired just reading her post
Hi Candice and Ally. Oh Candice. Adding the extra water for the monster cookies would just make the batter thinner and they are able to spread more, I think.
I made that chocolate quesadilla the other night and it was delicious. Don't trust myself making cookies - yet!!!
I read that if you are in a slump and can't seem to lose weight or are gaining a little, start writing everything down in the journal again. It will get you over the plateau.
I sat the other day, and made up 5 breakfasts that I like to eat and 5 lunches. Now I can just put the number of the breakfast and the points on my journal. Really a lot faster, as I don't have to stop and count the things all the time. Dinner is harder, because I always vary that - alot.
Have a good day everyone.

I sure hope you get better soon, with Fm it sure does take a long time to recover. I was in a bad car accident amost 2 years ago and haven't recovered from it yet. My job keeps aggravating my neck and shoulders. I was waiting behind 2 other vehicles for the first one to turn and wa struck behind by a woman going 55 mph. My car was totaled, but I was lucky.
Take good care of yourself....one day at a time...I'll be praying for you for a quick recovery....
Oh Happy-so sad for you!!!!Of course it's worse when you have fibr. So glad you didn't have to be hospitalized. Feel better soon.
We watched the Superbowl last night-awesome!!!And the NE Patriots won!!!!!!!!What a game if you saw it! Brad seems to have a cold-and it's cooler here but that is the normal weather. We are going shopping this morning and eat in tonight but I have to help Mike with his shipping. Went to bed late last night from the Superbowl.Mike had corned beef. Pie is just a graham cracker crust with 2 boxes of sugar free pudding with some cream on top-you can use fat free Kool Whip. I used white chocolate and only put 3 cups of milk. Very good. Hi to everyone. Mima
Happy- Thank God you were not hurt any worse. You do have a guardian angel looking out for you. You know,I really believe in them. I have several in my house as does my daughter. We all have one in our cars. My G/daughter has totaled 2 cars and I know she has her own personal guardian angel. Your recovery will be quicker than you think. I can tell that your outlook on the trials in life is positive.Every now and then we are challenged by God. I think it is how we meet it and resolve it that shows us we can continue on.I hope you are better real soon. My daily thoughts are with you.
Meme, Candice,Linsue Hello
Mima..Thanks for letting us know how to make the pie.. I hope it will work with Fat free milk. That is all I use. I am not a ball fan. I did watch the game. I got hooked when Paul Macarthy came on. In fact when they sang God Bless America. The beetle will make a mint on that song. It is simple but at the right time. I am usually a rooter for the underdog to make good. So without really understanding F/B It was them. I told my hubby who we were for and he said which one is which.
Bye...Joanne
Thanks everyone. I just need to whine for a minute.
I am absolutely hurting anywhere a body can hurt, today. My arm is terribly sore and my neck hurts both front and back. When I lay down, I can hardly get up, because my neck hurts so bad. The calves of my legs are so sore, and bruised as well. My ab muscles feel like I have been doing really strenuous exercise and in general I feel like he**. I just feel like sitting and crying - must be a sign of getting better.
I am trying to stay on my diet, but I am not hungry, so I guess I will save lots of points and lose no weight this week. I don't even know how I will get to ww this week. I may not. I can get a rental car (through insurance), but I can't drive it anyway. I can't really bring my arm up - just kind of even with the waist is as far as I can bend it. Honda owner thinks the car is a write-off, so will have to wait until the insurance adjuster has a look. The insurance fellow told me that you have to be hit with a real force to get the air bags into action. Just a fender bender won't do it. He said it costs $1600.00 for each airbag and that is just a start. Heavens, we had to replace a back light, and we needed to buy a screw from Honda and it was $10.00. This will be a horrific bill if they decide to fix it. I guess time will tell.
Anyway, I think I will attempt to make some cheese soup. Found some cheese with the same calorie and fat count as light velveeta, so it should be fine. Had cereal for supper last night. I sure hope tomorrow brings a little less pain. I am going to see m own Dr. tomorrow and then going to the chiro. I think.
Everyone have a nice day, and don't pay any attention to me. Just felt the need to vent a bit, I guess.

Happy..... I read about your accident at work but couldn't post from there. I am so sorry this happened. Have you thought about running this by an attorney? Was the driver ticketed, was he speeding? Bad weather??? Regardless, this is why we all pay for car insurance all our lives...to protect us if something happens. Have you seen your regular doc? I would want my injuries documented and on file. If things don't get better fast, you might have a law suit on your hands....
And I agree with Joanne....You have such a positive attitude that things can't keep you down long.
I hope you are feeling better soon.....
Oh My Gosh Happy....so sorry that happened to you! You just described how I am feeling and I haven't even been in a wreck! made me hurt worse to hear talk about it! (and you were doing so good with the fibro thing) and starting WW!!!!!!!! You always have such a good attitude. I noticed that from day one when you posted here! I didn't know there was FF coconut, I will have to look for that.
I'm hurtin' like crazy and on top of that the scale said I was up by 2 and I haven't changed a thing! Hope it is my protonix(stomach med) that is doing it my tummy is really bloated like when I was pregnant and we all know that is not possible! No felmale plumbing left! I will have to measure my waist and see if it is actually larger than before! It feels hudge! I don't like like feelin' fat when I have been op!!!!!!!!!!!
I missed the super bowl halftime but I saw Paul sing with Terri! DH did not know who was palying either
Hi guys. Hope you get well really fast, Happy!!That is so bad. Brad has a wicked virus but is in good spirits. I slept 10 hours last night-it felt good. Cool here today! But beautiful. Don't know what we're doing today. Back hurts again and I did needlework-how am i going to make it for the wedding of my cousin's daughter in July?Be good everyone. I'll put you on my prayer list, Happy. Mima
Happy- I hope you see your regular Dr. soon. It sounds like you have a whip lash. Ally does have a point. Talk to your attorney. I hope you are feeling better soon. If you are sick WW does not charge for missed meetings. At least down here. Don't worry about it!WW has been around a long time and will be there when you are better.
Hello to all you guys...Busy day for me see you later....Joanne
I am hurting sooooo bad. Didn't even make it to bed last night until after 5 a.m. this morning. Nothing seems to help. It is supposed to snow/rain here tomorrow...guess it is this weather coming in. I'm going to go take some Tylenol PMs and go to bed and see if I can sleep tonight. Anne...hope you are feeling some better. I'm sure it will take a while to get over the wreck...always does even without FM and longer with it! Every time I fall down it makes the FM worse for weeks! Praying for you!!!
Down 1.5 today so it must be the medication cause I stopped it for a day..wonder why stomach meds would make you gain or retain????????? Who knows............ My waist mesurement is the same to so I just feel fat I guess.
