Fibromyalgia #168

Good Grief, where the heck is everybody. Are we closing our thread down??? I sure hope you are all ok.

Mima - glad that the chiro helped you out. Pain is so darn awful and it just plain wears a person down. Hope you did ok with the gastro Dr. as well. Glad your aunt is doing ok.

Tammy should be back today or tomorrow. I sure hope she enjoyed her trip. It is a beautiful area she was going to. I sure enjoyed my trip when we went there.

I think my back is back to about 80% better. I will go see the chiro again of Tuesday and I have an appt. to see the Cardiologist on Wednesday. I had the ECHO done and I have also gotten rid of the Mammogram and Bone Density test. I must be set for awhile. I sure hope the ECHO came back nice and clear.

Hi Mima, Joanne and Meme.

Tammy 06-23-2007 09:52 PM

Hello everyone!!! We are in Dickinson, ND, tonight. We are at a Holiday Inn Express. I really like these. We won't be home until the 28th sometime. Tim brought his computer, so I thought I'd check in with all of you. He's nice to share.

You guys are way too quiet!!! What is going on? Hope everyone is ok.

Mima 06-24-2007 06:33 AM

I know Tammy-get after them!!!
I went to gastro on Thurs and had an interesting diagnosis-could be a rectocele but I have to go to gyno to see, I also have to have a colonoscopy on July 2.I have hope that they can do something although the prep work is what I gread. That's like a hernia in the colon bulging into vagina-more info than you want to know.
Can't wait to hear about your trip. Tammy.
I sue hope your tests are ok Anne.
I am going to teach Sunday school this morning. Not every week though. I am getting stressed-told Brad we need to do something in July.
Bye for now. Mima-Meme-just say hello so we will know you are ok. Mima

Joanne D 06-24-2007 10:47 AM

Hey There

Florida is hot hot hot.. The humidity is thick. I still get out twice a day and walk Christy. She is waitng for me now. I walk her about 11 am and 6.30 in the evening.. That saves my nerves more than I can say and I get in 3 miles myself..
We went out to eat last night for DIL birthday. We ended up leaving before we were seated. Our son has a bug and felt awful. I told him he should have just called it off early. We can do it another time. I hope we all don't come down with it. My brother in law had it last week. My sister may be next. I hope not. Her heart condition is so bad that it could be a bad thing for her.
I really hate those stomach bugs..
I found a Avon lady.. Now the hubby is gritting his teeth. He knows I will spend the money...Tough..He wants to save every dime for the kids. They don't need it. They have more than we will ever see in 2 lifetimes.
I hope everyone is well. Come on back Meme..We miss you...Joanne

SoulBliss 06-24-2007 11:50 AM

Hello! I am new to this thread but not new to fibromyalgia;I was diagnosed when I was a teen. I also contracted Lyme disease and that has been a real challenge. I hope to get to know you all here. :)

Mima 06-25-2007 06:17 AM

hello Soulbliss-do you have another name?
I have had fibro since my 20's myself. And I am 68 now.
Joanne-that is so great about walking Cristie-Cassidy used to get us to walk in FL but we did get in a habit to walk ourselves-but it's gone now.
I love Avon-used to sell it. I haven't liked the books lately but I get little things like nailpolish. It's fun. As for leaving money-it's what we don't need. People live longer-and if you wind up in a nursing home-who's going to get the money then. So have fun-The kids will hopefully share your house-that's worth a lot. Our savings is down because we spent so much money on the apt. We need to sell the camper. Brad is waiting for his bil to move the camper so he can power wash it. And fix the inside. I want it done sooner than later before the season is over. It's worth at least 10,000. that will be the price for Suzanne's wedding whenever that will be. She's also hoping it's sooner than later-she's going with someone now and I will meet him on sat.
I ate scallops yesterday and have had a stomache -ache ever since. i am keeping a food journal for the doctor. Too rich. Butter!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bad!!
Wonder what the electric bill will be for FL-we put a humidity gauge in the lr.
Hey tammy-have fun.
Hi meme, Anne.
Mima

Joanne D 06-25-2007 10:50 AM

Hey There

Welcome Soulbliss- My G/daughter will get her RN degree in April. I am a retired nurse so I have to say I have sympathy for both of you. It is not easy outthere. It is just many long hours of hard work. I am the oldest of the group here. I don't have fibro but osteoarthritis and some heart problems.
Mima- It is easy to get out of the habit of walking. I did for about a year. Getting Christy for Christmas has solved that. She always knows what time it is to walk and eat..Pugs will eat as long as they can get food. I measure and limit her food carefully.. Pugs can get really fat otherwise.. I am not fond of a fat dog that can't breath right .
Yes the house will probably be all they will get and maybe not that.. I have said if my hubby goes first I will sell everything and downsize..What is left they can share. I hope that by that time they can get along long enough to do that. They stay at war with each other. I have tried to get them to mend but they both just dig in their heels. It is all so petty..
Tammy- You must be home and wondering how to get back into a routine.. Hope you had a good vacation...
Hello Happy- Hope your back is better.. I have been full of aches and pains lately. I try to ignore them..
Joanne

Happy Canuk 06-25-2007 02:44 PM

Welcome to our little thread Soulbliss. I have OA and FM along with Atrial Fibrillation and Emphezema. This getting old is for the birds:lol: Just join right in.

Hi Mima - sorry you have any upset tummy. Rich food does me in all the time, since I no longer have a gallbladder. Some people it bothers and others are ok. Hope you get your camper sold.

Hi Joanne - Glad that you are getting all the walking in, again. Little pups are good for motivation, that is for sure.

Summer is having a hard time getting here. It has been the rainiest spring and beginning to summer that I can remember. Plus the fact that it is not all that warm. All this dampness plays havoc with my OA and FM, that is for sure.

Have an appointment with the cardiologist on Wednesday. Want to get some meds checked and he is a new Dr. for me.

I wonder what has happened to Meme?? She must know that by now we will start to worry about her. Hope she is doing ok.

Everybody have a nice day.

Mima 06-26-2007 05:43 AM

A quick hello-Brad is having a stress test and I am going to keep him company.
Our electric bill in FL was only 13-but I guess everything is working ok.
Hot today but we have had a very cool June.
Bye Mima tummy is ok

Joanne D 06-28-2007 12:54 PM

Hey There

Mima- You must have a mobile home... My electric is always in the hundreds..I could only walk half the distance today. 89 degrees.. They have said rain. It rained all around us yesterday..I AM SICK OF THE DRY WEATHER..
Tops tonight.. The scale is not where I want it.. I guess I need to be more careful.
I wonder where Meme is..
Hello everybody... Joanne

Mima 06-29-2007 07:01 AM

Yes, we are in a mobile home and the humidity is set on 50% and the temp on 85. The bill here is way up there.
I am having my colonoscopy on Monday and I dreamed I was doing the prep last night so now I have to go through it twice!!!!!!!!!!Ha
Going to an Art class this am. I didn't know the group in the paper was an actual art class-right down the street.
My daughter has a new boyfriend and I will meet him tomorrow. We are going to a cookout at Bobby's.
It's nicer today. One of my hydrangea bushes is blooming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi to all < Mima

Tammy 06-30-2007 05:31 AM

We arrived home on Thursday night, but we were busy doing laundry, sleeping, and going to the grocery yesterday. I am totally pooed out from the trip, but it was beautiful! Mt. Rushmore was very busy when we were there, but I am glad that we went. We saw Old Faithful at Yellowstone, and it was just ok. I don't know what I was expecting, but I felt a bit un-American that it didn't thrill me that much. lol My favorite part was the Badlands in South Dakota. At least I think that's where they were! We were so many places, I was getting confused. Things were tense different times with Bob and Tim. They are so much alike, and they butt heads at times. It is always nice to go away, but I am glad to be home.

Mima, I taught Sunday school a few years ago. I only did it for a year. I didn't like have to discipline kids there since I did it all week at school. I had the 5th and 6th graders, and I honestly didn't enjoy it at all. Some of the kids were just downright rude. Going through the prep for the colonoscopy twice is no fun even if once was a dream!! Let us know about the new boyfriend!!

Joanne, I remember being in Florida last June when we went to Disney. I don't think I could live there during the summer. It's bad enough in Ohio with the heat and humidity. I need to get out and walk Kramer more than I do. It would be good for both of us. Good for you getting out with Christy. Glad to hear you found an Avon lady. I need to get a new book from mine. Since we moved and I retired, it is becoming almost a pain because we live in different towns now.

Welcome to Soulbliss!!

Anne, how was the appointment with the new doctor? Hope all is well.

And just where are you Meme???

It is pretty cool this morning. 57 degrees. I have the windows open in the family room, and my toes are nippy!! I just wrapped up in a blanket. Everyone else is still in bed, but Kramer came to get me about 4:30. Way too early. I'm sure he is into a new routine after being at the doggy hotel for 2 weeks while we were gone. BUT 4:30????????????

Mima 06-30-2007 06:41 AM

So glad you are back safe and sound, Tammy. It will take a few days to unwind-that was a busy trip!!!
I had another dream about the prep-I just want to get it over with. Maybe only one bottle of magnesium will help-the other phosphate???
Going to a cookout at Bob's-won't be able to eat much but I will have one margarita-that's not on the list to avoid.
Went to art class in town-really nice people. then went to lunch with them. Not really sure I liked the teacher-she told me to do something with my painting that was wrong. We will see. You can actually go there 2x a week. I am so glad I found that. never knew that the Artist's circle was actual classes.
Making a trifle for Bob's party.
Suzanne was picking up bf yesterday from airport, but his flight was delayed because he was coming out of Dallas where there was flooding. He went down that way for reserves.
Think I will work on the painting this am.
Hope you are ok-Meme.
Mima

Tammy 07-01-2007 09:14 AM

Mima, you have to stop dreaming about that!! lol Glad that you have found the art class. I know how much you enjoy that. Did the bf finally get in from Dallas?

My brother, SIL, and niece left last night for London. Scares the crap out of me with all that is going on over there. Tim was over there a couple years ago when those bombings happened, and I just felt so helpless.

A friend of mine from way back in high school has had fibromyalgia for years. I just had a message from her that she has uterine cancer. Surgery soon. Please keep her in your prayers. She has been through so much. She lives in Arizona. I wish I was closer for her.

Slightly overslept this morning, so we missed church. I hope I get some energy and some get up and go soon!!

Hope you are all doing well!!

Tammy 07-01-2007 09:17 AM

HAPPY CANADA DAY, ANNE!!!!!

Joanne D 07-01-2007 10:28 AM

Hey There

Hello Everybody- It is in the 90's nearly every day now..It is hard doing much outside.. The 4th is almost here. The hubby is already saying he doesn't want to do anything..I might try to get him to go to fireworks but more than likely he will go to bed instead..He does a lot of sleeping these days..
Tammy- It is always hard to come home after a vacation. I read that some people get depressed after a while away from home.. Getting back to a routine is the hardest. It takes about 5 years for someone to get used to Florida. The blood has to thin out so that they can stand the heat.. I have lived here all my life and I still don't like the humidity and heat.. I have people who look at me like I am from another planet when I tell them I have been here forever and that my hubby was born here in Tarpon Springs.. There are few Floridians left in this area.
Mima- The prep is bad enough with out doing it twice.. My daughter had to do that.. She did the prep and showed up for the procedure and was told that she was given the wrong date. Yes, she had to do it again. She was not a happy camper.
Happy- Puppies may be good for motivation but hard on me.. She got away from me yesterday. She is very strong.. I will have to run her leach through my belt loop and hope she doesn't pull me down . She came very near getting run over. She thinks cars ,bikes, and people are there for her to chase..I will be so glad when she calms down..She is so quick she pulled the leach out of my hand before I knew it..Bad Girl..
Hello Meme- Where are you? I hope you are well...Joanne

Mima 07-02-2007 07:51 AM

Wow for your active puppy!!! I have scars from Frankie still. I sa him Sat-but he didn't see me because he is blind but he sure knows me!!!!!
Met Suzanne's friend-he has been in the army for 16 years. 4 years and he can get a pension and then do something else.
I have to take 2 more pills this morning. Last night, I had to take 2 of my stomache pills so I could go to bed. There must be a better way for people with ibs.
Joined the church here yesterday.
Brad's sister was taken back to the hospital because she has pneumomia, She's not in good shape.
I'll be happy to see 4 o'clock today. Mima

Tammy 07-02-2007 04:05 PM

It has been in the 70's today, and it is so nice. All the windows are open, and there is a nice breeze blowing. Saving $$ by not having the AC on. I like that.

Joanne, friends of mine from here retired to Florida a couple years ago. They live in Minneola. I think that's how it is spelled. We stopped to visit them last year when we went to Disney. They are enjoying life there, but I know she misses everyone up here. They are involved in their new church, they play golf, and she works at Disney part-time. I hope Christy calms down for you very soon! You don't need her being that active.

Mima, 20 years and then a pension! I thought 30 years and out was good!!

We all took a nap earlier this afternoon. That is rare for all of us to do that.

Tim had sorted clothes over the weekend, so we took what he couldn't wear anymore to a friend of mine. She has two boys, the oldest going into high school this year. She also has 3 daughters, and she does foster care. There were two new boys from this weekend - ages 1 and 3. She really has her hands full, but I know what an awesome job she does. 2 of her daughters were foster children for about 3 years. She and her hubby fought to adopt them because of the life they would lead if they went back with the mother. No father was known. The birth mother was into drugs and who knows what else. Anyway, the girls were adopted last summer, and they are thriving with their new family.

Mima 07-03-2007 05:31 AM

Love stories like taht.
Had the colonoscopy=the worst gas pains in my life afterwards. Had to stay for a while-the poor nurses went home late.
Nothing new-lots of diverticulosis.
Going to rest today-and eat.
Mima

Tammy 07-03-2007 07:03 AM

I have never had a colonosopy, and I don't think I want to have one!!! I don't like pain!! Resting today sounds like a good idea, Mima.

Joanne D 07-03-2007 09:23 AM

Hey There

Tammy- A colonoscopy is something we all must do.. I am surprised your Dr. has not had you do it... The discomfort is only for a short time.. I think the prep is worse than the procedure..
Unless we get a hurricane we won't see the 70's till next fall.
Not much news this way so I guess I will get busy and do the daily chores. The hubby wants help in the yard today.. I will be really tired tonight..
Joanne

Tammy 07-03-2007 09:45 PM

Joanne, my doctor has never mentioned one. In fact, Bob has never had one either. It was warmer here today, and Tim's allergies were bothering him because of all of the work in the fields around here. We turned on the AC.

We looked at vehicles today, and on Thursday we are trading my Chevy Venture van in on a Dodge Grand Caravan. It has the stow and go seats, so we won't have the hastle of taking out the back seats, finding a place to keep them, and then putting them back in. It was getting very hard for Bob to do it, and I have never been able to do it.

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Mima 07-04-2007 06:54 AM

Love those caravans-Mike has an adapted one with a ramp for Alison. She told me her girlfriends were going to take her out, they will drive the caravan. Can't believe she is 17. I talked to her yesterday and she is taking online courses. And doing well. She is so motivated-like her parents and other first-borns. I also talked to Evan-he's a man of a few words on the phone but talks a lot while playing. Alison says he wakes her up by hittting her leg , which she can't feel, then attacks her . 14 years apart!!
Brad's sister is still in icu but has no fever. He went again yesterday because he had to go to Worcester.
My stomache is wicked sore-I spent yesterday on the couch. Started getting a temp and then it went away. Must have been all those prayers when Brad went to prayer meeting.
Church cookout today. It's fun to be around kids.
Hope you are not too sore today, Joanne. Anyone heard from Meme. Mima

Joanne D 07-04-2007 10:58 AM

Hey There

HAPPY 4TH EVERYBODY
My calves and back are hurting.. It will go away. I do feel like I could sleep all day. That's out.. Every thing here would go to pot.. Christie waiting for me right now for her walk. It will be a short one..Too much traffic out there. Everyone going to the beach..
We have no plans for the day.. Things are quiet right now. We have a neighbor who shoots fireworks off half the night. Maybe he forgot to buy some ,if we are lucky..They have little concern for the block. I saw one of them drive his car across a lawn next to him so he could park his car in his yard. I would have called the cops if it had been mine. I saw his wife with her shears cut down a neighbors sun flower over the neighbors fence this week. I guess it was too high for her to spy on them..Her hubby tried to just open my door and walk in. I was quicker and latched it. He said 'I can't come in. I said No' and closed the inner door in his face..They have had one problem or another with the whole block.. I keep my doors locked at all times.
Tammy- It would be a good idea for you to mention to your Dr. about a colonoscopy.. That is how cancer is found..If you have no polops good..You may get by for 5 years without another test..
Meme- WHERE ARE YOU? Joanne

Happy Canuk 07-04-2007 02:44 PM

Good afternoon.

Mima - I hope your tummy is feeling a whole lot better. Like Tammy, hubby and I have NEVER had a colonoscopy. We have done the Occult test however. If anything is found in that, then off for a colonoscopy. I guess I don't know too many people who had it done.

Tammy - My daughter has a Dodge Grande Caravan. It is too big for me. This is her second one. When she was in the hospital, I drove it and it was like driving a bus around  I like my little sawed off Honda CRV. My daughter said she isn't getting another one, because of the cost of fuel.

Joanne - sorry you are hurting. try sit and rest. I get some e-mails from Meme but, boy, I don't think she has ever been missing this long.

The Echo Cardiogram, the Nuclear Heart test I had done in the Fall, and my ECG all came back normal. The good news is that there is NOTHING wrong with my heart, only the electrical wiring:carrot: The Dr., changed my meds and is sending me for a sleep study and another Pulmonary Test.

It is hot here and going to get hotter. Tomorrow will be up in the 90's. That is way to hot for me. I will expire. We don't have air, just lots of fans going. That works, but it usually doesn't stay in the 90's for longer than a few days each year, but the weather, she is a changin!!

Hope everybody has a good afternoon.

Tammy 07-05-2007 05:46 AM

Mima, that is great that Alison is able to go out with her friends. Funny about Evan. Prayers for Brad's sister. How was the church picnic?

Joanne, sleeping was a hit in our house yesterday. It started raining/storming in the morning, and it lasted till midafternoon. Kind of a lazy day. That is SO frustrating about your neighbor! Why on earth would someone do stuff like that? I just don't understand people. Maybe I'll mention the colonoscopy next time I'm at the doctor and see what he says. I think he is so caught up with my glucose level and cholesterol level, he isn't thinking of anything else.

Anne, I laughed about the van being like driving a bus! When I first got the van that we have, I felt like that after my Chevy Malibu, but I quickly got used to it. Tim learned to drive in this van.

We knew we wanted something that isn't low to the ground because I have trouble getting in and out on my bad days. We really liked the Chevy Equinox, but with the van we'll have more comfortable seating and more storage. Storage will be a good thing when we head south next January.

Mima 07-05-2007 06:44 AM

Brad is a dodge fan. I think you made a good choice-not sure how reliable chevy's are. Love those CRV's-my brother is on his second. And we love the Highlander-the mileage is not too bad. Brad's truck gets 14-costs 88 to fill it up but it's partly deductable for the business.
Some really serios problems going on. Brett's pressure was up so high , he could of had a stroke-he's 34 and seriously overweight. so is Angela. But they have bigger problems than that and we are sworn to secrecy because Brett doesn't know that we know. How insane is that. That's called dysfunction-all I can do is pray about it. And Brad's sister is not good-she has 2 bacterial infections in her insicions which are the kind that are hard to cure. I just keep praying.
Anne-so good about your tests. But when you don't feel good, you can't appreciate the good results. My stomache is still in pain but I didn't get a temp yesterday. Actually, my temp was as low as 97.0 which might mean my thyroid is low. I will keep taking it.
We had a nice time at the church cookout but we came home when it started to rain.
We need to go shopping. Mima

Happy Canuk 07-05-2007 08:47 AM

Good morning.

Tammy - When our CRV was getting fixed (also my second one) we rented a Chevy Equinox. It was pretty nice to drive. I also need a higher vehicle because somedays I just can't bend. I am 5'8", perhaps that is why I have trouble. There IS a ton of room in the Caravan, that is for sure. That's the reason my daughter bought her first one. Ashley was a baby and the thing would be full when they would come to visit:lol:

Mima - Still with the sore tummy. Hope it passes soon. Too bad about the health problems of Brett and Angela. That high BP is soooooo serious. My hubby went for his Driver's Medical and found his BP as 200/105. ECG right away, but the heart was ok. Other tests showed nothing wrong, so he takes a pill and he isn't happy about that, but hey, he is alive and that is what counts.

I forgot to wish you guys a Happy 4th of July. Hope you all had fun.

Gotta run to work now.

Tammy 07-06-2007 05:40 AM

Mima, most of the vehicles we've had have been Chevy's. In fact, Bob and Tim have Chevy's right now. We've always had good luck with them. Sorry to hear about Brett and Angela. We'll keep them in our prayers. Also Brad's sister. My "normal" temp is about 97.6 all the time. Tim's is too.

Anne, my doctor wanted me to do a sleep study several years ago, but I passed. That was before I was diagnosed with the fibro. Hey! I'm 5'8" also, so we definitely have something in common. Yikes about the hubby's BP! Glad things are ok for him. I don't like taking a pill for it either. Our 4th of July was pretty quiet here.

Later today I am going to a festival near here. Farm Power of the Past. Lots of old farm equipment, etc. The reason I'm going is because I'm meeting Melissa and we are hitting the flea market! Her parents are involved with Farm Power, so she'll be hanging out at their RV.

Mima 07-06-2007 06:52 AM

That sounds like fun! enjoy!
We had our pics taken for the curch-Brad looked good. I did not like mine. They will touch it up-oh vanity. They were trying to sell us stuff-remembered later that we were getting an 8x10 free. Glad we only bought wallets and I had a 25 $ cert for calling people.
Art this am and marriage group tonight-at someone else's house.
My stomache is a bit better-got the miralax and senna tea. I only bought a 7 day supply of miralax-
A temp under 97.5 is a syptom of low-thyroid. I took an extra pill yesterday. My temp was 97.
My gf is negotiating with her husband for lower support payments because d is going to college. They need prayers-money is first with him. Not God.
Too much stuff going on. It will all turn out whatever, It seems to come in bunches.
Mima

Happy Canuk 07-06-2007 08:46 AM

Tammy - hope you had fun. Going to the flea market is always fun. What woman doesn't enjoy that. Can't get hubby interested in that though.

Mima - Glad that your tummy is starting to feel better. Nobody likes their own picture it seems. I am sure you looked good.

My body temp. is normally around 96.2 but my thyroid tests ok!! It used to be 98.4. People that have FM often have a low body temperature for some reason.

Got to get ready for work. Have yourselves a good day.

MemeToo 07-06-2007 02:52 PM

Tammy said you all were worried about me. Just wanted to pop in and ease your minds. I'm ok. Don't have time to catch up on all I've missed, I'll try to read some later. Hope you are all ok, though. I've been busy trying to get things ready for a yard sale plus I've had the g-kids a lot and they've been on my computers, of course. Also, with hubby on second shift, it hasn't been easy around here. I've been having to cover the business in the afternoons and have been too tired by night to do much of anything. I have Jenna this weekend plus a family reunion so I probably won't be back. Hope you all have a good weekend. I'll try to come back next week and catch up but the big yard sale is next weekend so no promises! Maybe I'll be back to normal after that! Love you guys.

Tammy 07-06-2007 03:46 PM

Mimi, we had our pictures taken at church for the directory in the fall, and we've never seen a dirctory. Don't know what the deal is there. We had some wallets and 5X7's made, plus we got the free 8X10. That was our first family picture we have had taken since Tim was about 3!

Anne, my hubby used to enjoy going to flea markets. He doesn't seem to enjoy much of anything anymore. I worry about him. There were times on our vacation that I wondered if he even wanted to be there, and it was his idea to head out west. I know he is getting older, and I know he doesn't feel the best, and he doesn't take care of himself. My thyroid always checks out ok too. My temp has always been low. Hope work went ok for you today!!

Meme, HOORAY!! Glad to hear from you. I have some things you could put in your yard sale. Should I mail it to you?? lol You have to be pooed out with so much going on. We are supposed to go to a family reunion tomorrow. I told Bob it depends on the heat. It's pretty warm today, and it is supposed to be warmer tomorrow. Back to normal??? What is that??? I don't know if I've ever been normal!!!

Went to the doctor's office this morning to try and get a bill straightened out. Easier to do in person than on the phone. We also just received a bill for Bob from last October! I said that should have been covered by our insurance that we had before I retired. They are resending it. On my bill, they had me charged $196, and the insurance company said I only owe the doctor $113. Got that straightened out. Frustrating.

Yes, insurance is frustrating!! Just trying to keep ahead of it. When a doc isn't in our plan, we have a deductible of 150-but they don't take it all out at once. I wish they would so I could just pay the 20%. Next year we will go on Medex and Medicare and bye bye deductible.
Hey, Meme, nice to hear from you. Hope you make mucho money on the yard sale.
Hi Anne, if I had a job, I wouldn't get in so much trouble.
Yesterday was the first day my stomache was ok-then I ate some cookies when we went to marriage group. Bad Mima.

We have to go to the hospital this morning because Brad has to go to Worc. to return the part for the church's ac. Seems that a mouse had built a nest inside and ate the wires-not a bad part. 677.00 that they won't have to pay.
Have fun this weekend. Mima

Since our insurance has changed since I retired, it's a bit hard to get used to. Bob has a few years until he can go on Medicare. LOL to eating cookies. Sometimes they are just too hard to resist.

I'll be leaving in the morning with my friends, and we'll be back sometime on Wednesday late afternoon/evening. Behave!!

Why, we want to have fun!!! You too.
Nice party at my cousin's-saw my cousin Richard who looks like Kenny Rogers. He grew a beard.
Brett and Angela don't come to our church anymore and haven't seen Leah either. Lots going on with Brett and Angela. It's in God's hands. But it hurts-especially not seeing the kids.
Massage today-I ate cake yesterday-good for aches and pains plus the weather.
Brad and I will get away next week-I think all this stress is affecting us-we had a problem before we went to church. We ahve to be careful we don't take it out on each other. bye Mima

Well-I am checking in. Went to gyno yesterday and he said I had a rectocele but didn't think fixing it would help my eating problems. Gastro on Monday.
How is everyone doing? Mima

Hey There

I have been better... I have a tooth absess and that is giving me some problems and pain. I finally broke down and called a dentist.. They are calleing in a antibiotic and seeing me tomorrow..More problems. It has been more than 20 years since I have had a problem like this..
If it isn't our stomach it is something else.. I get real tired of going to Dr's.
I finally got the Dr. to talk to my hubby about working out so much in the yard. As much as he does it never gets done. He has somewhat agreed to let someone else do it. Now the thing is to find someone who won't charge us a arm and a leg. The guy that does the yard next door was supposed to come by yesterday. No show..It is just too much for us now. I used to do it all and then he took over. It is too much for him. He is 81 and has heart dx.. I told him it is not worth a death.
That's my woes...Joanne

Good afternoon.

Tammy - hope you had a really fun time. Behave myself???? Now what fun would THAT be

Mima - I wish they would find out what the heck the problem is. It must be miserable to live wit.

Joanne - well, thank goodness you got an appointment to see the dentist! Also, glad you were able to have the Dr. talk to your hubby. I know it is hard to lose some of your independence, but it happens. Now, if they could just get YOU fixed up. You are right though. It IS one thing after the other, anymore.

Not much interesting. Been working every morning and will continue to do so until mid Aug. Then the last couple of weeks, I will be working Mon, Wed and Fri (full days). After that, who the heck knows.

I am going to Edmonton on the 24,25 and 26 for Breath Alcohol Technian Training (known as a BAT, so now I will become an OLD BAT ) See, you are NEVER to old to continue learning.

Hope you are all having a nice day. It is hot here and going to remain hot for the next couple of weeks. My goodness, they are talking temps. in the 90's for a week!!! I am sure I will not make it. That is just way too hot for me! I like the mid 70's. We don't have air, only fans and hopefully a breeze.
