Hi everybody ... 2 more days until the yardsale and then maybe I can breathe. Didn't do a lot toward that today. Have been hurting a lot. Some weather went through. I'm going to just collapse after Sat. is over. Can't wait until this thing is done and all this junk is out of my house. I'm about ready to just PAY someone to come cart it off.

Hope you get some relief, Joanne. I hate toothaches. And outside work is hard at any age!!!
Mima, hope you feel better, too.

Anne, don't work too hard in the heat. Hope it's cooler here Sat. I can't stand the heat, either.

Hi Tammy!

Tammy 07-12-2007 05:08 AM

Hello everyone! We returned safe and sound last night. I bought quite a few things on the trip, and Bob and Tim even liked some of the crafty things! lol Of course, I brought them some goodies too, so that helped.

Mima, I've always thought Kenny Rogers is pretty good looking, so I would enjoy looking at Richard. Stress can do crazy things, and it is hard not to take it out on someone. I'll keep praying!!

Joanne, so sorry about the tooth! Hope you'll be better soon. I think toothaches are the worst!! Glad to hear that the doctor talked to your husband. It can't be easy for him to admit that he just can't do it anymore. I'll be keeping you guys in my prayers also.

Anne, I cracked up at the Old Bat! Too funny. When you go for the training, will it be all day or will you have some free time to do other things? It was hot on our trip Sun., Mon, and Tues. Yesterday it was much cooler as we did our "last minute" shopping and for the ride home. Looking forward to checking out the pictures as soon as I'm finished with this post.

Meme, I never sent you all my stuff for your yard sale, so I guess I'll have to wait for another one. lol Hope it goes well for you. It is so much work! It would be easier to have someone just come and take it away, wouldn't it?

Today I'm meeting the teacher group for lunch. I have no idea how many will show up since a couple of them are on vacation. I also had 2 messages that a couple of them have been ill, so they won't be there. Whoever does show up will have a nice time though even if it's just a couple of us.

Tammy 07-12-2007 05:57 AM

Anne, I truly loved the pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ashley is such a cutie!! The flowers that were in the park were gorgeous. I loved the shell house with the pretty blue. Those scraggly camels looked like some of the scraggly buffalo that we just saw on our vacation. Stege looked beautiful as did the queen's yacht and castle! I would have loved Lego Land. I have read about it. Tim was really "into" legos when he was younger, so I'm sure he would enjoy it too. You have a beautiful family. I am glad that you were able to spend time together on this trip. Think of all of the memories!!

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us!!!!

Mima 07-12-2007 06:21 AM

Wow-waiting to go to pics. My family was from Sweden-mother's side.
Glad you had fun, Tammy.
I bet you will be glad when Sat. is over-I called Salvation Army after the yard sale.
Oh, Joanne, that must be painful! Hope it gets fixed today.
Stomache is good but not feeling well. Is it a virus or sinus. Not good-getting my hair cut today and have a vbs meeting tonight. I am the craft lady.
Brad's sister is getting a trach tomorrow, She is not getting better-decisions in the future??? sad-I feel bad for her young daughter.
Installed Norton yesterday. Have to set it for scanning at night.
Gf's son coming today to get camper cleaned up. Another one going to court to clean up a lot of warrants.
If I sound dreary it's because I am.
Mima

Mima 07-12-2007 06:33 AM

Loved the pics. Mima

Tammy 07-14-2007 02:33 PM

Mima, I hope you aren't still dreary!!

I've been doing a lot of napping the past few days. I guess that's what I get for overdoing it on these trips. I wish that the place we stayed would have been closer to the town where we spent most of our time because then I could have taken a break each day. I certainly needed it.

Tim did a ride-along with a policeman in a town near here last night. They had lots of excitement since it was a Friday night. He got home at 3:30 this morning. Tomorrow night he is riding along with a sheriff deputy here in the county. He rode with him once before. He's getting some experience and learning what that life is all about by doing this. He'll have to do something like that to begin with before he can go into anything at the federal level. Scares me though.

Hope everyone is doing well!! Love to hear from you!!

Meme, hope you made millions of $$ on your yard sale!!

Hoplorac 07-14-2007 08:08 PM

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and am a bit confused how to use it. Found this group and I was happy. I have had fibro since 1994. Coping well but weight loss can be difficult. Glad I found you.

Tammy 07-14-2007 08:44 PM

Welcome to the group Hoplorac!! It has been pretty quiet here lately, but sometimes we chat quite a bit. I've had fibro since the spring of 2004. A fall on the ice as I was going into the school triggered mine. I've gone downhill since then. I have good days and bad ones. I agree about weight loss being difficult. I am down 30 pounds from where I was several years ago, but I still have about 50 to lose.

Good luck, and come here to chat!!!

Mima 07-15-2007 06:34 AM

Hi

Good morning. Welcome to the new person whose name is on the other page. Part of old age.
Even though we had some help cleaning the camper, there was so much left to do and left undone. The shower was clean but not the toilet, The frig was clean but not the oven. The mice made a nest out of insulation in there-pulled it out-what a mess. Cleaned it 3 times. I am sore and congested but ok. Brad put up wainscoating to hide a blemish. Found out it was worth more than we paid for it 4 years ago. We won't get that but we will negotiate. It's on Craig's list-then it will go to the Wantad.
I am teaching Sunday school today, Psalm 23.
Going away tomorrow-after the gastro visit when he will tell me what to do.
Bye for now, Mima

Joanne D 07-15-2007 07:13 PM

Hey There

Welcome Hoplorac... We are a good little group.. Losing weight is about the hardest thing anyone can do.. I always say it is hard work..I have been working at it many years..I don't have Fibro but just about everything else..
I am down 74 lbs and having a devil of a time keeping it off. I would like to take off another 10. I guess if I was willing to give yp icecream and few goodies I could do it..It is just a matter of getting my head turned around and motivation in gear.
I ended up in a oral surgeons chair on Thursday.. One more tooth I don't have to brush.. It was a choise of a root canel ot pull. One was 1000 dollares and the other 208.. You know what I choose..I may have already told you girls this ...so... if so forgive my senior moments..
It is raining all around us.. The hubby and I are telling off the weather men..We need it so bad..My luck it will storm when we go to St. George.. That will be in a couple weeks..It will be interesting to see how Christie acts there. I will take her crate and toys.
Hope everyone had a great weekend.. Joanne

Mima 07-16-2007 05:57 AM

That's a nice vacation too look forward to. After the gastro visit, we are going up to VT and go on a Lake Champlain cruise, and stay overnight.Mini vacation-then in August we will go away on a 4 day bus trip to the Thousand Islands depending on my doc results. Not sure there will be any surgery.
Meme, how was your yard sale? I know you must be exhausted.
Taught Sunday school-those kids know so much about the Bible. Cetainly more than me but I am sure I have something to offer them. Getting excited about VBS and planning crafts. It's too funny that I was in charge of te craft booth last year and teaching crafts this year.
Went to see Brad;s sister-still in ICU and now has a trach and a feeding tube-She did smile when we walked in. She's only 60. Went in for a 2 day surgery.
Almost went to see my brother but we didn't have enough time.
Talk on Wed. Mima

Tammy 07-17-2007 07:12 PM

Joanne, I think I would have done the less expensive one also. I've had some problems with one of my teeth, and I dread going to the dentist. I don't think I will EVER give up ice cream completely. It rained earlier today, but I don't think it was really enough to do much good. I heard about storms in Tampa yesterday (??). Hail and strong winds the report said. Did you get any of that? I'm sure you are getting excited about St. George! You are brave to take Christie with you. lol

Mima, we've never been to Vermont. I think that will be our next "big" trip that we plan. Keep us posted on what the doctor says. Sorry to hear about Brad's sister and all she is going through. It's tough.

Bob and I took off Sunday after church for southern Indiana. That's where the gambling boats are. We had free nights at two of the hotels, so we took advantage of it. Did some shopping, ate some ICE CREAM, and we did play some of the slot machines. It's fun, and we came back with more $ than we took with us, so I guess that's a good thing.

Hope to hear from all of the others!!

Mima 07-18-2007 07:29 AM

That's great Tammy.
We had such a nice time in VT-Burlington is beautiful. Only bad thing is we rode a lot in the wrong direction to get a motel but 2 hours later we took the 2nd one we saw-.
Stopped at Ben n jerry's they had sorbet and sugar free-perfect.
went to a beautiful restaurant-the Ice house-went on a lunch cruise on Lake Champlain. Wonderful time!!
Greeted home with a phone call from Angela-I think she suffers from an anxiety disorder-all worried about cutting down a tree. Said she needed to borrow money-I didn't bite. Brad said for Brett to call him-they already talked about the tree.
Anyhow-I have stuff to deal with like planning for VBS.
Gastro PA was encouraging-no surgery-stay on IBS diet and take Miralax. Experiment with foods slowly. I have not been costipated since I take Miralax. He was so nice-answered so many questions. Funny thing-got a message that another doc had to change my appt-the primary care must not have cancelled my first appt. I will fix it today.
Hey meme-how was your yard sale. I hope you have good weather for your vacation-it sounds so.... nice, We always had to take Cassidy-that's why we took camper. It worked out.
Hi Anne. Mima

Joanne D 07-18-2007 10:24 AM

Hey There

Tammy- We didn't get a drop of rain. I live a mile from the gulf.. The winds keep the rain away from us..They get it 10 -15 miles inland. Tampa always. My daughter doesn't believe me when I say we don't get rain. Her MIL lives 15 miles from us and tells her that they are getting too much rain..OH WELL!I won't give up icecream either...
Mima- It is difficult taking a dog everywhere you go... It is expensive leaving her in a kennel.. My Son-in law wants to put her in their pen when we go up. They have pit bulls.. She would die of fright...So we will take her with us. There will be plenty people there to help watch her..I always crate her when we are not around.
Hello everybody...Joanne

Mima 07-19-2007 07:47 AM

Sounds like a good plan for Christy. And you. Going to meet with my craft helpers this afternoon. Brad is working at home-have to find time to make his cake.
We get so much rain here. Next week when I am at work it is going to rain everyday. Bye for now. Mima

Tammy 07-20-2007 09:59 PM

Mima, the lunch cruise sounds nice. And I can't wait to go to Vermont someday!!! Hooray for no surgery!

Joanne, isn't that something about not getting any rain when others did not very far away? Doesn't seem fair, does it?

It's an Emmaus Weekend again, and I've been over at the church helping out. Also Relay for Life this weekend. (American Cancer) I've been there off and on today too. I go back there at 2:00 AM to walk for an hour. There has to be someone from the team on the track at all times. Tim is going with me to keep me company. I have to be back at the church at 7:30 AM to be a prayer partner with a friend who is giving a talk. Busy, busy. I plan to go to bed soon so I can get a few hours sleep. Tim said he'd set his alarm and get me up. Hope he remembers!!

Mima 07-21-2007 08:03 AM

We have that Relay close by and Brd's sister has a lot to do with.
Really bad episode with my stomache. Wonder what is the cause-I did have canned green beans on Thurs.
Brad's bd was yesterday and I crought his stange looking cake to Marriage group. It tasted good-tried to make orange frosting with extract-ended up putting orange jello on it. That did the trick. I'll mix it in next time.
We atlkes about romace but not much discussion.
Got to get car serviced-hope my stomache hols out. Mima

Tammy 07-22-2007 08:43 PM

Mima, hope you are feeling better.

We are leaving on Tuesday for Florida. Bob's older brother has been ill, and we thought we should go while we can. We had planned to go down in January, but I don't know if he'll be around then. He will not go to a doctor. Very stubborn man. We will be gone a little over a week.

Mima 07-23-2007 06:08 AM

Sorry about Bob's brother-maybe you can pray with him-that seems to be the only thing we can do when we visit Brad's sister.
Still sick but had my script refilled. Was supposed to go to work but going to have to cancel and go see doc. Gastro guy is trying to tell me it's ibs but it stops when I take an antibiotic.
My step-grandaughter Jessica told me she is 6 months pregnant-been waiting for this for years-she is 4 years older than when her mother was pregnant. She strts taking he state boards Friday. She doesn't give up-then she is getting another permit for her license. I will be a great grandma.
Bye for now Mima

Tammy 07-23-2007 08:15 PM

Mima, I've been praying for him, but praying with him would not be a good idea. He would be very offended. Might give it a try though!

Congrats on the new baby on the way!!!

Where is everyone???

Happy Canuk 07-23-2007 09:42 PM

Hi Tammy and Mima.

Boy, it sure is quiet on this board. I was away for the weekend and worked today. We went to see Mama Mia on Sunday. What a SPECTACULAR show that was! I will NEVER listen to ABBA again in the same way :

I hope that both people that you know in the hospital will soon be better. It is hard to see people so ill.

Going to Edmonton for the next couple of days for BREATH ALCOHOL TRAINING, and hopefully when I return, I will be an old "bat" :

Tammy, have a safe trip

Mima - you are having a rough time with all these stomach woes. Hopefully they find the answer for you soon.

Meme has disappeared again, and I guess Joanne has nothing to tell us. Hi Joanne, hope you are doing ok.

Mima 07-24-2007 06:51 AM

Wow-we saw Mama Mia in NY-it was awesome.
went to doc-he said I should tell gastro doc every time I have an infection so he could see how frequent it is, I think I got dehydrated because I felt better after gatorade.
I know it is awkward to pray with people. PtL for answered prayers-my br. gf said they will be going to church and Brad's s started to improve. Talk about lost causes.
I didn't go to work yesterday but I wouldn't mind 2 days-if they need me.
I so wish I could find a way not to get these attacks-this one was the worst in a few years. I did go off my diet days before. Hmmm.
Have a good trip Tammy-and bye Anne. I want to go on vacation with Joanne-it sounds so nice. MimA

Joanne D 07-25-2007 07:29 PM

Hey There

Aug. 4 is the date we go on vacation. I can hardly wait..It will be just a week but worth every minute.. We haven't been in a couple years.. St. George Island in the panhandle..
I too had a bad spell with my stomach last week.. For me to go to bed in the middle of the day is rare..
We still have not gotten any rain. Everyone all around us has though. That's what happens when you live right on the gulf coast. The winds push it inland. The hubby has been watering all afternoon.. Thank God we have a pump. There are some things we have to use city water on though. There is a lot of iron in the pump water and will kill some plants..
Tops tomorrow and my weight is up. No meetings for a couple weeks after so I will have time to get it down.. Going on vacation with my daughter . She helps me a lot..I am walking 3 miles almost every day but the icecream is a downfall.
Hope everyone is well...Joanne

Mima 07-26-2007 06:27 AM

Good morning. Hot here-Brad has to work in the attic.Mike said it rained in Ft Myers. I hope you have a nice vacation., Joanne. That would be my ideal-staying on the beach.
Stomache is better but now I am constipated despite all the fiber-and walking.
Bye for now Mima

Happy Canuk 07-27-2007 06:32 PM

He everybody.

Mima - you can't win! I wish you could get the gut regulated. You would feel so much better.

Joanne - not long before you leave on holidays. Ice cream is for hot weather, so instead of feeling guilty, just have a bit and enjoy it.

Tammy is probably in Florida. It must be really hot there. It is really hot here. So unusual for us to have week after week of hot weather. I really do feel drained from the heat.

It is official - I am now a BAT and an old one to boot  The course is under Dept. of Transport and it is guelling. However, I did pass it (see you CAN teach an old dog new tricks)

Hope you are all having a good day. Hi Meme, wherever you are!

Mima 07-28-2007 07:06 AM

He-we older people can learn easily!!! We are attending our annual mission conference-this year we are traveling back and forth-it's only a half hour. It's such a privelege to be around people with their lives dedicated. Most of them are professionals who work in Asian countries. I had a hard time getting my own food-they had pizza and salad. I had a sheperd's pie not made with wheat -today I will bring my lunch and they are having chicken for supper.
It sure is hot there but they will put in air for next year and Brad has the job!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bye Mima

Joanne D 07-28-2007 10:44 AM

Hey There

Happy- Just one more week and I will be sitting on a beach in N/Fla.. I could do the same thing here but it is really crowded.. There are hardly any people where I am going. Just the ones who rent the houses there.
Mima- Brad should stay out of attics in the hot weather. My hubby went up into ours once. He almost passed out and panicked. I thought I was going to have to call for help to get him out.He can't stand heights anymore.Too bad that you are having so much trouble with your stomach.. I have my spells but they usually last just a day or so.
I guess Tammy is still in Tampa.. I hope things aren't too bad for her BIL there..Meme seems to be very busy.. I hope she hasn't left us for good..
It is like a oven here outside.. I go twice a day to walk.. I should be losing weight. Just with sweat alone. I am soaked when I get back.. I shower twice a day. The hubby is complaining about the water bill.. TOO BAD!I could use the treadmil but Christie can't.
Got to get busy.. Bye...Joanne

Mima 07-29-2007 04:59 PM

Hi there-I never listen to Brad when he complains about leaving lights on!! Your vacation sounds ideal!!! Well, the confernce is over and it was wonderful. Such good talks-especially this motning. And then a nice communion service and lunch. we were exhausted but we shopped on the way home-hadn't gone for weeks-just run to the store.
I have about 12 tomatoes. Even if they are in the front.\Brad's sister is doing better-now for rehab. i never would have predicted she got any better but she had lots of prayer.
Suzanne's bf got lyme disease and now he has Bell
s Palsy. Hope its temporary. Bye for now Mima

Happy Canuk 07-30-2007 07:23 PM

Hi Joanne and Mima and Joanne. I hope Meme hasn't left us for good, but she has only been here a couple of times since May. That isn't good.

Joanne - only a few more days and you will be enjoying your holiday. That will do you a lot of good, I think.

Mima - glad that you SIL is feeling better. I don't worry about the lights. Mostly they are shut off, but sometimes one of us forgets! Wonder why that would be  Hope Suzannes boyfriend got treated right away. A lot of the same symptoms as FM and CFS.

I hope Tammy is doing ok.

It finally cooled off here today. It is 72 and it is beautiful. It is also cloudy and looks like rain. I have every window in the house open and it is airing out and getting so much cooler in here. I haven't slept good for 3 weeks. Tonight might be the night I catch a good night's sleep.

Mima - I am going to post something on IBS. It is something new I just learned about. Perhaps it will help explain some of YOUR problems. Here is the website. It is about small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Might explain why you do better on antibiotics.

http://www.medicinenet.com/small_int...th/article.htm

Mima 07-31-2007 06:27 AM

Thanks Anne. I am fasting this morning so I can have my cholesterol checked when I go to doc's. And my thyroid etc. Oh how I hate to fast. I have been eating Activia and taking Fibersmart for the yeast that develops when you take an antibiotic.
Auntie got sick again-someone had a virus. that communal living has its disadvantages. 4 generations in the same house and they will have another baby in Dec. they are all but Auntie going to FL for 2 weeks and I will need to stay in touch for 2 weeks. Every day-I can do that.
I guess Suzanne's bf has the palsy really bad and he is too grumpy. They will have to work through this. Going to check IBS-bye Mima

Mima 07-31-2007 07:08 AM

Wow for that article!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I guess I have to educate my docs again.

Tammy 07-31-2007 07:54 PM

Tim "let" me have his computer for a few minutes, so I thought that I'd check in. We are in Tenn. on our way back to Ohio. Bob's brother isn't good, but he isn't nearly as bad as the other brother led us to believe. It was good to see everyone though. Joanne, every time it would rain, I thought of you and wondered if you were getting any rain. I did see a sign for Tarpon Springs. While down there I met a high school friend in Zephyr Hills. We had a nice visit and lunch. We are all looking forward to getting home and sleeping in our own beds tomorrow night. We aren't supposed to pick up the dog until Thursday morning, but I'm going to call in the morning and tell them we'll pick him up tomorrow late afternoon. I've missed the little goober!!

When I get home, I'll spend time reading the messages. Tim is pacing waiting to get the computer back. lol

Mima 08-01-2007 06:02 AM

Glad that you will be back Tammy.
The nurse didn't want to check my ch. or thyroid because they are in the primary Care's realm. But they did because I told them I have been fasting. I did find out that other lab was nearby so I won't do that again.
I bought the stuff to balance my system . If I get another attack, I will go see the gastro guy and ask him about SIBO. For you others, that means small intestine bacterial overgrowth and that's why I have to go on meds every 2 months. Thank you Anne. I know I eat way too much in the carb dept-esp sugar.
Went swimming yesterday-awesome but my back hurts today-it needs to adjust to exercise.
Going to the church to work on VBS. Bye Mima

Joanne D 08-01-2007 07:34 PM

Hey There

I am eating too much carbs too. Not good for my sugar.. I had whole wheat pasta last night and was so bloated I didn't get to sleep till after 2 am..
We had some good rain last night and today.. Now there are some who are already complaining about it.. We loved it. We haven't had rain in almost a month..
Just 2 more days and we will be in N/Fla..We haven't been anywhere in a couple years or more..
Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong this week. Brakes on the care had a problem. Last night my glasses fell apart, Today the radiator(SP) has a problem so back to the shop tomorrow..Good thing we were not on the road. This has really put me behind. Saying nothing about my B/P.
I gave Christie a bath. I think I was wetter than her..
Hello Everybody...Joanne

Tammy 08-01-2007 07:59 PM

I think I'd like to see Mama Mia, but I'm not sure the rest of the family would enjoy it. Anne, way to go on being a BAT!!

Joanne, Tim and I had ice cream a couple times while we were gone. Sure was yummy! I called and talked to my SIL when we got home today, and she said that it had been raining almost nonstop since we left yesterday morning. They weren't complaining about it. Enjoy your trip!!!

Happy Canuk 08-01-2007 11:03 PM

Tammy - nice to see you back. I can't imagine somebody NOT enjoying Mama Mia. It is a great performance. It actually tells a story and it is funny!

Joanne - glad you got some rain. It must be much fresher now. It finally cooled off here for a couple of days, but it is heading into the 90's yet again. I absolutley do NOT like it that hot. We don't have AC.

Mima - Hmmm, I think we all eat too many carbs. They are easy and usually taste good.

Here's a little funny for you. I thought this was hysterical

ISN'T THIS THE TRUTH ??????

When you have to visit a public bathroom, you usually

find a line of women, so you smile politely and take

your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet

under the stall doors. Every stall is occupied.

Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking

down the woman leaving the stall.

You get in to find the door won't latch. It doesn't

matter, the wait has been so long you are about to wet

your pants! The dispenser for the modern "seat covers"

(invented by someone's Mom, no doubt) is handy, but

empty. You would hang your purse on the door hook, if

there was one, but there isn't - so you carefully, but

quickly drape it around your neck, (Mom would turn

over in her grave if you put it on the FLOOR!), yank

down your pants, and assume " The Stance."

In this position your aging, toneless thigh muscles

begin to shake. You'd love to sit down, but you

certainly hadn't taken time to wipe the seat or lay

toilet paper on it, so you hold "The Stance."

To take your mind off your trembling thighs, you reach

for what you discover to be the empty toilet paper

dispenser. In your mind, you can hear your mother's

voice saying, "Honey, if you had tried to clean the

seat, you would have KNOWN there was no toilet paper!"

Your thighs shake more.

You remember the tiny tissue that you blew your nose

on yesterday - the one that's still in your purse. (Oh

yeah, the purse around your neck, that now, you have

to hold up trying not to strangle yourself at the same

time). That would have to do. You crumple it in the

puffiest way possible. It's still smaller than your

thumbnail

Someone pushes your door open because the latch

doesn't work. The door hits your purse, which is

hanging around your neck in front of your chest, and

you and your purse topple backward against the tank of

the toilet. "Occupied!" you scream, as you reach for

the door, dropping your precious, tiny, crumpled

tissue in a puddle on the floor, lose your footing

altogether, and slide down directly onto the TOILET

SEAT. It is wet of course. You bolt up, knowing all

too well that it's too late. Your bare bottom has made

contact with every imaginable germ and life form on

the uncovered seat because YOU never laid down toilet

paper - not that there was any, even if you had taken

time to try. You know that your mother would be

utterly appalled if she knew, because, you're certain

her bare bottom never touched a public toilet seat

because, frankly, dear, "You just don't KNOW what kind

of diseases you could get."

By this time, the automatic sensor on the back of the

toilet is so confused that it flushes, propelling a

stream of water like a fire hose against the inside of

the bowl that sprays a fine mist of water that covers

your butt and runs down your legs and into your shoes.

The flush somehow sucks everything down with such

force that you grab onto the empty toilet paper

dispenser for fear of being dragged in too.

At this point, you give up. You're soaked by the

spewing water and the wet toilet seat. You're

exhausted. You try to wipe with a gum wrapper you

found in your pocket and then slink out

inconspicuously to the sinks.

You can't figure out how to operate the faucets with

the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with

spit and a dry paper towel and walk past the line of

women still waiting.

You are no longer able to smile politely to them. A

kind soul at the very end of the line points out a

piece of toilet paper trailing from your shoe. (Where

was that when you NEEDED it?? ) You yank the paper

from your shoe, plunk it in the woman's hand and tell

her warmly, "Here, you just might need this."

As you exit, you spot your hubby, who has long since

entered, used, and left the men's restroom. Annoyed,

he asks, "What took you so long, and why is your

purse hanging around your neck?"

This is dedicated to women everywhere who deal with a

public restrooms (rest??? you've GOT to be kidding!!).

It finally explains to the men what really does take

us so long. It also answers their other commonly asked

questions about why women go to the restroom in pairs.

It's so the other gal can hold the door, hang onto

your purse and hand you Kleenex under the door!

This HAD to be written by a woman! No one else could

describe it so accurately!

Send this to all women that need a good laugh AND,

don't forget to have a mammogram!!!!!! It could save

your life!

Anne, I loved this!!! It is so true! I was in several restrooms during our trips this summer with no toilet paper. I always make sure I have a tissue in my purse (hanging around my neck) for those emergencies. Sometimes you just don't have time to check to see if there is paper available in the stall. lol

Oh-that was hysterical!!! I hate public restrooms, I bought some toilet seat covers but I don't know where they are.
Hot today-we made all the crafts last night-sure was a good idea because we ran into some pitfalls-going over today to set up. Meeting tonight. Doing something tomorrow morning. And night. Angela's grandmother is dying. There will be a funeral in the middle of all his.
I ordered a book from Amazon about the SIBO thing. I am willing to do what it says. Digestive enzymes-peppermint and acidolpholus-bifida........And Miralax. We are talking big bucks!!! I will do anything.
I got a raise and got 10 LESS in my pay because they raised the insurnce premium which they will take away in October and repalce with Medicare and Medex if thet can get a waiver. That's called Retirement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fortunately, Brad can work.
Bye for now. Mima

Mima, I'd love to come and check out the craft items! Kind of a long drive though. lol Sorry about Angela's grandmother. I haven't ordered anything from Amazon for a while. Maybe it's time I went shopping there!! I had to reread what you wrote about your raise. Now I understand!! It will make a difference in my check when Bob goes on Medicare in a few years. I'm not even sure how old you have to be for that. He'll be 60 in September. I DO like retirement!! In the old days (lol), I would have started going into my classroom about now and pulling things out for the year. It really does seem strange not having to even think about it.

I told Tim last night that he needs to make a list of things to get accomplished in the next week. He goes back to school a week from today. Yes, I've already cried. I've enjoyed our time together this summer. It will be easier to go visit though now since I won't be working.

Hope you are all doing well!!
