Trish, I don't want to count anything either and that's why I like IF. I can eat whatever I want but most of what I want is healthy.
I like to put soap in and mix it with some water then put the clothes in. I can't do that now. You could not do that with a front loader. I will just get used to it.

Wt 189. Ended up with a 19.5 hour fast. I want to do it again today if I can resist eating. A big problem is wth such a short eating window I can't eat everything I want to. I want eggs for "break fast" but I want a salad for "lunch.". Its not the same to have HBE in my salad. I want runny fried eggs. If I eat after that I won't be hungry for dinner.
It was rainy yesterday and expect scattered showers today, too. I would like to go to Texas Roadhouse but I hate to go out in the rain. Or I could just have steak that I can cook at home.Trish, I'm glad you enjoyed your breakfast out with your sisters. I think that's a nice way to celebrate birthdays, just the 3 of you. All back together after all these years. You can have a hen session without the guys along. ______________________
We just received our income tax refund from 2019. We got 2020 before 2019! This restores my faith in the IRS and I take back all the bad things I said about them. LOL DH is happy now. Off to the casino!! LOL. Not really. This will be out last refund as we no longer get anything deducted.
I only made it to 10 AM before eating. I made corn and black bean salad. It didn't taste right. I kept tasting until I realized I forgot the lime juice. So since I ate that I ate eggs, but they weren't that good because I wasn't hungry. Now its a long time til dinner. Maybe we will eat early. We have to go back to Home Depot to exchanged a,heater vent that is too small. We eyeballed it and were wrong. Then to the bank to deposit our check.

Carol Sue I heard that you lose weight better with HBE years ago and did eat them when on CAD every morning for a CM breakfast, but I love my eggs runny and with toast and at least 1 slice of bacon. In fact doing SF, I can have 2 eggs, a slice of bacon and one sl SLMG toast for just 2 pts if I were counting. I also have a problem getting all the foods I want to eat that are healthy in a smaller window that is why I do better with a longer one.
Are you reading a book on the fruit, veggie and protein diet? I would like to read that. Remember I said when I married DH and moved to FL that I fell in love with all their fruit there. I ate fruit and had coffee in the mornings and then most days I ate a tuna salad. We married and in January and by the end of May that same year I had gone from weighing in the 200s to 167 lbs. I was never hungry. I was also thinking about the diet book I had found in my Mama's books when she died titled Fit For Life where you ate fruit between 4 am to noon and then you ate your regular food between noon and 8 pm and ate nothing between 8 pm and 4 am. Of course I never ate anything from 3 in the afternoon most days until around 9 or 10 each morning. I was doing IF and didn't even know it. I remember seeing the guy who wrote the book that whether you did the food combining that he suggested or not that if you would just follow is guidelines of eating within an 8 hr window and not eating anything for 8 hrs you would be doing yourself a favor. He had learned this from doctor in Austin, TX who had a school of some sort teaching that. Isn't it strange that now we have Dr. Fung and others telling us how important it is to give our bodies a rest during fasted hours of at least 12 hrs. Any way I'm not sure it is as important what we eat as much as it is that we give our bodies the fasted hours it needs to deal what we have eaten. Saying that I still think we do better if we eat healthier foods and little to no junk food.
Glad you got your refund checks and hope you have a good day at the casino.
Weight this morning back down to 185. I did take a Lasix because my feet were so uncomfortably tight last night. DH just doesn't understand that. I have several of Daddy's old prescription left and he has loads of them since he used to get prescriptions each month and still could if he needed them. I still think about asking my doctor for my own prescription but I am afraid to trust myself with them. I used fluid pills too much as a crutch in the past but I will only use these in an emergency like last night.
We are going to Walmart today and will get KFC on the way home. I am not hungry right now and may not eat anything until then. Will take this one step at a time and eat only if I need to. I am not counting calories today. Just doing WWSF plan and keep up with the pts in my head and do it along with IF.

Trish, we are not going to the casino today. I was just kidding because we got our check. I told DH to just sign it over to the casino. He would not spend that much, not with me around. Maybe tomorrow or Thursday.
I am not reading a book but it was an article about losing belly fat. I think I bookmarked it and will look for it and send it to you.
I think most people eat the way they ate growing up. DH and his brother grew up together but DH eats only egg yolk and his brother eats only the whites. They need to get together and share. LOL Step children eat differently than when they lived here. Both eat a lot of meat. I could not afford a lot of meat and DH always wanted carbs. I fed them a lot of cheap processed foods because that was all I could afford. Step son and step daughters husband do a lot of grilling. They eat veggies but few starchy carbs. These are just the foods they like to eat. None of them ever had a weight problem.

Thanks Carol Sue for that info. I used to get newsletters from them and I need to sign up for it again. They have a lot of good information just as Livestrong does.
I hope I am slowly moving back into sensible eating. I didn't eat anything until noon when I decided to just eat a banana. DH ordered dark meat at KFC and they gave us mixed so I ended up eating a wing and a breast. I had about 3 regular spoon sizes of cole slaw and my keto ice cream with the almond milk. For some reason they didn't have original so this was crispy which DH doesn't like and I haven't bought that since my beautician in SC told me that when she worked there years ago that they took the leftover original and put batter on it and refried it. That sounds very fattening so I haven't eat it since. She did admit that she didn't know if they still do that or not but it is in my mind. Any way I haven't had anything to eat since then except for a mini diet ice cream cone that I buy. I am drinking my last cup of coffee now and will switch to water and later will have a diet soda. My actual eating window turned out to be 6 hrs. Tomorrow I will have fruit in the morning and have a meal with DH and go from there.
I didn't think your DH would gamble all the refund check but I figured y'all might go today.
BTW I was telling DS about your new washer. She has a top loader and she said that you should be able to start your washer and then have a pause button to add something to it. Hers has a little window in the top that she can look and see it agitating. I wanted a top loader when we bought our washer and dryer when we moved here but DH thought I would do better with the front loader because I'm so short I wouldn't be able to reach all the clothes in the bottom. DS says the tot p loader gets clothes cleaner than the front loader but I have never had a problem getting my clothes clean except when I overload it. It is a big one but I admit clothes are cleaner if you don't over load it.

Trish,,I read about the front loaders and it said they are more efficient by using less water. My neighbor across the street got a new washer and it was so deep she couldn't reach the bottom so they exchanged it. She is shorter than I am, I am 5'2". I checked when I looked at it in the store so I knew I could reach the bottom. The tub of this one is wider rather than deeper. With 2 of us I never have a large load but I would like to wash my bedspread instead of taking it to the laundromat but if I can't its only washed twice a year or so. I used the pause button when I did the small load of towels. I think I can start the water and soap together then pause it to put the clothes in. Our clothes don't really get dirty, they just need to be freshened up.
I have to figure out why I'm getting so tired. I will check my blood sugar more often to see if its going too high and making me tired and fall asleep. It happened earlier today. I laid down for a while but got up to go to Bob Evans for dinner and Home Depot. I was really dragging. I sleep ok and feel good when I get up but it doesn't last all day. I rarely napped before. Now I fall asleep every day. It almost seems like eating causes it.

Well, I read the article and also signed up for more info from them. I put the info in MFP and not sure about their counts but as much as I can tell calories were okay but my carbs and sodium were high for today. No way I will drink enough water today. I think all the carbs are what made me sleepy. Are you eating too many Carol Sue?
Our clothes to don't really dirty either because we don't go any where much. Maybe that is why mine are so clean. My front loader is big enough to wash my comforter spread.

My spread is a queen bedspread that fit in my old washer but it was such a tight fit it would not move. This tub is wider and might work.
I have not been eating more carbs than usual. Under 100 GM and sometimes as low as 50. I was thinking about it this morning. We used to stay up til 11 pm. After the time change DH started going to bed earlier and watching tv. I usually go with him but I fall asleep. This causes me to wake up earlier and I can't fall back to sleep so I get up. I'm out of sync. If I stay up later DH says I wake him up when I come to bed. I might start staying up later a little bit at a time. I don't like the same tv as DH so it doesn't interest me and I fall asleep. Sometimes its still light out when we go to bed. LOL

I tried following the idea of carbs and protein on the article along with WW but the fruit makes the carbs too high. However, I noticed that the fruit evidently helps with the BM which is why Fit For Life said eat it by itself during an 8 hr window. However, doing it SF plan I just ate a bowl of fruit with breakfast. It will prevent me from staying under 100 grams of carbs. However, I assume it isn't bad carbs so it may not matter. I did track todays meal plan on MFP and I do consider that all things are not always correct counts on there, but as close as I can tell I am okay although calories are higher. I also am taking into consideration that I am counting calories instead of points so I am counting every food item where on WW, I wouldn't have to do if I was on WW Purple plan which is the closest to the old SF plan. Taking that into consideration, I think I am good for today. This has to become my own Personal plan not what someone else says to do. Having said that I am increasing my protein just a tad and only adding the fruit carbs to my plan but not going to worry a lot about the carbs as long as they are healthy on the SF plan.
Weight is still 185 and if it stays this way the rest of this month, I will end this month with just under a 2 lb gain for the month instead of a loss. I am trying to remember that it is a stall not really a gain and it is a good thing not bad.
Carol Sue Having a wider tub should work great for your bedspread. I understand about waking up early and not being able to go back to sleep. I am sleeping better since I wait until I get sleepy and then go to bed. I now sleep most of the time and don't get up as often to go potty as I used to and go right back to sleep when I get back in bed. However, when I wake up in the morning I am ready to get up. I still get sleepy sometime after dinner but I think that happens more after a meal with too much fat and/or carbs.

Well, I did a 7 hr window today and it started with breakfast that had fruit with it. It ended with fruit and a cup of coffee. What I am seeing about fruit is it makes me feel stuffed at first because of the fiber and water. I remember reading years ago that if you ate a lot of fruit and veggies that you don't have to drink so much water because of the water in the fruit and veggies. I'm not sure I had enough protein but can't eat anything else today because I have started my fast. I am doing laundry now while watching a movie DH has picked out.
Carol Sue Hope your day went well.

Trish, I'm anxious to see how eating the fruit works out for you. I know you've always liked fruit. I would be fine if I never had fruit. If it wasn't for DH I would never eat that half a banana I eat most days. I buy apples with the intention of eating one a day but they get thrown out.
Weight is up to 191. Blood sugar was up all day and I couldn't get it to come down so I think that's why I'm sleepy. I will have to work on that. My neck hurts and I can't turn to the right. DH rubbed it and I took a Tramadol. That really took the pain away mostly but I don't like to take them. Only when I need it. I'm falling apart!
Today is casino day. I loaded my Kindle with lots of good reading material. I really don't want to gamble. We haven't done so well lately. DH thinks its fun but its only fun for me when I win and you can't win all the time. I know weekends are better but I hate when its crowded.
Most places don't require masks anymore but its about 50/50. DH takes his off but I still feel better wearing mine. PA is up to 70% vaccinated. I never see them announce cases but I'm sure there are some. I heard the pandemic will be over by July. I'm waiting thinking there will be a surge. We'll see.

Not much happening here today. Weight is up to 186.6 but I am sure that is just from adding the fruit and overdoing the carbs yesterday. Today I am being more aware of portion size and back to trying to keep net carbs between 50 and 100 grams and figuring protein according to what they say I should eat I need to keep it around 100 grams which isn't always easy for me to do. I will try to use the protein shakes to work towards that. In fact, if what I've read is true, I don't even come close to the 90 grams I always tried to use as my limit which just might be why I have a difficult time losing. I don't really understand that but who knows. I also need to get back to a routine of exercise instead of doing on it here and there.
Carol Sue I hope y'all have a good day at the casino.

I'm sitting in the food court reading and I got so sleepy I almost fell asleep. I got a diet coke and that woke me up.
DH is gambling and not doing too good. Maybe he'll get tired of it. Ha ha.
Trish, I'm sorry to hear you are gaining. We should not try to reach a protein quota. It's not helping either of us. We need to go back to what was working.

Carol Sue I agree. I decided to go back to 2MAD. I really don't need to eat anything after our dinner. I usually drink a c of decaf coffee with collagen in it and take my evening pills usually around 6 or 6:30 pm. I've been having my fruit at breakfast and try not to eat anything until at least 11 or 11:30. That way I stay within an 8 hr window with even with my coffee. I could switch and start taking collagen only once a day and my coffee would have no calories at all.
Hope DH losing streak ends soon.
