Default Monday Chat - March 8th

Good Morning Everyone,

How was your weekend ?

Mine was really good, got alot of cooking done yesterday for the week so I feel pretty good, house is tidy for once and laundry is done

I went back on my Fitday journals and looked at what I was eating last summer compaired to now. So I'll be making some major changes. One is to stay away from pork rinds and real pepperoni AND the lc chocolates. Drat!
But 3 months w/out losing is a And and AND and A-N-D my calories back then were below 1500 but this isn't something new, I've been eating 1700 - 1900 per day So instead of *****ing about it, I'll just make some adjustments.....sasssafrassssss.

How's your morning ?

Did you see some of the new smiley faces ?

Sounds like you've got a good plan Leenie! I know that 3 months without a weightloss is discouraging, but you will get it under control and get that scale movin again! I'm cheering you on!

Just wanted to thank everybody for their support over the weekend. I started up the weekly food log - I'm counting calories and keeping it low carb.

I've got a great big cold and a yeast infection too (sorry to be so personal) - think my system is kind of run down, but hey.....the sun is shining and it feels like spring around here - blue blue skies and 55 degrees right now! yippee!

Will be back later.

I am loving this weather too Cathy. I was outside all day yesterday and I wish I was out there right now. I really love spring. I think it is my time of the year. I don't feel as depressed this time of year. I hate to see it go. (the time of year)

I had a busy weekend with school. Yesterday we went to a friends house for the first crawfish boil of the year. Can you say BLOATED? That is the only bad thing about those buggers. We load them up with salt and you feel it for days afterwards.

Leens I think you will be able to get things in order. It is a real eye opener when you look back at things isn't it?

Cathy I hope you start to feel better. There is nothing worse than what you have.

Default Good Afternoon Ladies

Well its snowing here AGAIN!!! I am sick of snow...But on a different note....

Today DH took my measurements for me..... I am happy and proud to announce that I lost in all categories... I lost 2 inches off my arms....
Another 1/2 inch off my waist... 1/2 inch off my hips and thats the first there.... 1 inch off my thighs Tonight is WI; so I will see how I did there also....

As for the Fast Trak I did really well on it this week. I stayed OP all week. YAY ME!!! I am surprised and very proud at the same time.....But tomorrow its back to my regular points...

Thanks for encouraging me and helping me to get by this week.

Good morning everyone

It is sort of grey out & windy....but mild today. DH & I went out for coffee with friends earlier this morning.....then we went & walked at the multiplex.....haven't walked for a while....the doctor said it will be good for the arthritis in the joints at the top of the legs.

Leenie....I have been using FitDay also....most days....the calories are between 1400 & 1500 calories a day.....when I stick to my plan.

Lynnie....good for you....sticking to your plan!!!!!!!!!

Cathy....hope you are feeling better soon.

Lynnie, Yeah for you!!! That is awsome. That is a Lot 0f weight.

Leenie, that is hard when you hit a platau..but you aren't gaining, right? Just make sure that you are eating enough calories and not cutting yourself short. What is your activity/exercise like?

I upped my treadmill from 30 min. to 40 min., AND I warmed up 5 min. to begin with and then set it at 3.5 mph and pumped my arms...I felt a definate increase in my body feeling it. I think that I will walk 4 times per week and then 2 times per week I will do Pilates. But when I do Pilates..I think that I will warm up with 5 min. on the treadmill..after a month or so maybe will increase the warm up.
I need to get my afternoon/evening binging and overeating under control. I seem to do okay in the morning through about 4 p.m..then I go crazy. I think that my that point in the day I just feel really fried. The kids are acting nutso and you know how it goes. I give them healthy snacks like fruit, pretzel sticks, nuts, popcorn, water, etc., (no soda or sugary candy), so I don't know. I have tried to implement a rest/nap time but they don't lay still and still climb the walls...and this is when I am trying to keep the house quiet for their baby brothers afternoon nap. Ah well..back to the drawing board. They are almost 5 and 3..girls.
Went shopping tonight and got some bargains. I found a nice little teapot for serving my herbal tea for 3 dollars and a complete workout outfit for under 17 dollars, (capri workout pants and top with built in support). I know that the outfit shows my fat bulges but I figure that I am doing this in the privacy of my home so it is okay. Besides..I will be able to see my improvements that much more..right? I get down on myself for my mistakes and binges..but I remember..this time last year I was about 230 pounds. So there ya go. Maybe this year will be the year I lose the rest?

Hello everyone!!

Not too much going on around here. Chris is asleep so all is quiet. I think he decided to take a nap rather than eat the fresh chocolate chip cookies that a friend gave him today. He has them sitting on his chest though at the ready. He is so trying to lose weight and she knows it yet she continues to bring in stuff. Today is his 44th birthday so guess I can look past it today. Yesterday she brought me in a huge piece of cake!! I put it away as I was NOT going to blow my eating.

I haven't done anything for Chris and I feel bad about it. He says it's no big deal but I think everyone enjoys something for their birthday even if it's something small. Maybe I'll take my clothes off tonite and streak for him. Boy now that would be a sick gift!!

Leenie thanks for the beautiful prayer for Lynn. I also thank each of you who have said a prayer for her. She remains the same. There is no change and another test was done which showed she still has some brain activity. I don't know what this means but I pray that she'll start coming back to us soon.

Cathy I hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Lynnie congrats on the 5.8 loss!!

Think I'll go and do my walking video and then do up some laundry and dishes. I may sneak the cookies from Chris and toss them. He'll thank me later!!!
