Hi, I've been MIA too. I'm reading but just haven't posted.

I may have an interview Thursday. This leads me to a dilema if I happen to get the job. It pays probably half of my previous pay (yikes!) but it will be more than if I went full time at my part time job and about maybe $500 bucks more than unemployment per month (after taxes and with health insurance etc). The other down side is that I would be at a new job so if I get responses from other higher paying jobs it will be hard to get away to do interviews. But then again, in this economy do I pass up any job opportunity when another may not come for 6mths or a year or...

Any advice?

Really glad you're doing well Holly long may it continue.

Hope: Do you think the job is something you will enjoy? If you don't take it and have to get unemployment for a while are you ok with that, I mean can you live with that money? I would definitely consider how much you will enjoy the job (or can handle) it but I also understand that being at home watching tv with no structure isn't very healthy. I guess you'll have to weigh these things up, maybe write down pros and cons of all of it. Well whatever you decide I'm sure you can work out going to interviews anyway, I'm sure they'll be accommodating about that. Good luck

Hi, my first reaction to the porn was negative for many reasons. One was, he lied by omition. Before we were married, but very serious, he went to the clubs, and did not tell me at all. Then when he told me, there was no discussion of it. I had low self esteem, was gaining weight and did not know why, and felt horrible. Not only that, but his buddy came back home for leave from the Marines. The guys went to a strip club, and at the time DH made it sound like he did not go. I found out a few months later, he did. I was hurt. Then he went back to it after we were married, and our sex life plummeted, and I had no idea why. Until he started lying about why he did not want to go out just to stay home and look at porn. See we would have plans with friends or family, and he would say he wanted to stay home with our ds to save on babysitting.
Then we went to where we would watch/look at porn together, but after awhile and growing together, we have realized that it does not fit into our marriage, and actually our marriage now is the strongest it's ever been. After 14 years married and 20 together, it's the strongest our relationship has ever been.

Jenny - thank you for your thoughts I am glad that you two are stronger than ever, that is wonderful.

Hope - best wishes for the interview today!!! I am no good at advice...I would be torn with indecision myself (see, I'm no help) but I hope all good things for you, sister!!

I had my interview today. I believe it went really well. I think all of my answers were good and my friend who recommended me had assured the the lady that I could handle the workload. I should hear something within a couple of weeks either way.

I have weighed all of the options and the pros and cons. I think I will definitely take the job if I am offered it. It will keep me from dipping into my savings and will keep me from being at home and depressed. There is room for advancement and it will force to obtain some financial licenses that I had before that I had let lapse (the company will pay for that). Those can only make me more marketable if I decide to go elsewhere. The pay is less than I want but I hope to increase it by getting my licenses. If it doesn't happen as promised, again I'll just look elsewhere.

Thanks for listening to me and giving me some feedback. Leila, I had already started my pros and cons list, lol. That's how I make most big decisions. I appreciate your thoughtful reply. Vermont, I can be indecisive as well. I can over-think something to death. Making the pros and cons list can really help.

Hello ladies! I am still trying to climb back on the wagon before it leaves me altogether. Since weddings/birthdays/insert random event are over now (temporarily) I feel like there should be no excuse. I did go to the gym yesterday and plan on going today.

Hope4me, glad your interview went well!!!

Hi Leila, Cemommster, Vermont, and everyone else! Here's to a good weekend!

Hi Mustang- It's so hard to get back on track once you're off isn't it? Usually exercising really helps jump start you in the right direction. Did you make it to the gym?

Vermont - How's work going? Glad you have been on such a long stretch of feeling good. Are you and dh doing any bike riding trips this summer? My df has been working the last few weekends and hasn't had a lot of time to ride. Don't get me wrong though, we are both happy that his construction business has finally picked up.

I had to stop by my old job today and turn in my severence package that I signed off on. I'm glad that I did b/c I found out that I'll be getting another full paycheck after next week's check. I thought that next Friday's would be the last one so that is good news. I also found out that the 2 jobs that I applied to there have not been filled yet and they haven't even started the interview process. I had begun to think that they had already been filled since it has been so long. Maybe there is a chance that I could get an opportunity to interview for them. I would hate to take the job that I interviewed for yesterday though and then leave them right away to go back to the original place but if its worth $20,000+ more to do so I really wouldn't have a choice.

Anyway after today I feel a little more at ease, like there are some good possibilites ahead. I think I will just enjoy the next two weeks and not stress over it. I hope I can muster the energy to get some major things in the house done and really take advantage of all of this extra time off. Oh yeah, and definitely try to get into an exercise routine.
