Default Monday, January 27th - Daily

Good Burrrrrrrrrr Morning,

Its 13 degree's out feeling like 0. We had a light dusting of snow last night but nothing to worry about, most of its gone already.

How was your weekend ?
Mine was good, had company on Saturday, Sis and the Kids. Sunday Hubby, Grace and I went to breakfast and lunch...Yeah !!! 2 in one day. Today is our anniversary so we celebrated yesterday.... 13 biggies.... We went to this little Italian place for lunch, I had eggplant stuffed w/ricotta cheese, and spagetti, it was soooooooooooooo good but boy they give you enuf for 2 meals.

Did you all watch the superbowl ? I didn't, I never watch sports so why start now I can't remember what I watched yesterday..... CRAFT Disease lolololol.....

Whats cookin today ?

I got my low carb cook book so now I am going to start doing that AGAIN. I'm going to keep my carbs at 125 g per day and I'm switching over to brown rice, whole wheat and soy flour. I'm still in the process of reading the book but yesterday I went to the store and bought some stuff to get me started. AND some spices to help me along.

Well back to work for me.

Have a blessed day everyone !!

Love, Leenie

Yesterday, I went to the store and bought white, wheat and rye flour. Also gluten, and yeast. The new bread machine should arrive today. R has been tracking it on route here. I want to make good whole wheat bread and a rye that is low in fat and sugar. I't s amazing how much cr*p is in store bought bread!

No, I didn't watch the Super Bowl. We watched "The Green Mile" again, with R checking the score once in awhile. He isn't a big sports fan either.

When I got divorced from the second DH, I actually think that I had a list of qualities I would be looking for in a man. One was not being a sport nut. Or a avid hunter. Or childen from a previous relationship. Or a drinker and abuser. Etc.

Well, gotta go...am feeling chipper today!

~~~Good Morning Gang!~~~
Hope everybody had a good weekend
Yes we had the Superbowl game on. The guys had friends over and all the guys watched the game. I just popped in and out for commercials and to check the score every once in awhile, while doing other things around the house. It was a nice day.
Leens - you'll have to share some of the good low carb recipes with us!
Tip - sounds like you are really looking forward to getting that new bread machine. The smell of hot bread baking is "to die for". :-)
I'm going walking at the mall at noon.
Hope everybody checks in and everything is going well.
hugs,
Cathy
Hi girls,
No SuperBowl for me us! I thought the SuperBowl was my cereal bowl that I liked to eat Capt. Crunch out of.....LOL!!
My weekend was nice. It was good to get my DH's uncles memorial service out of the way. I dont mean that to be disrespectful but.....you know what I mean.
We visited with relatives over to weekend and just had a nice time. Food was all over the place but I did very well. I had a small piece of cake that I took the icing off of. I dont the coconut and it was in the icing.
I have to get caught up on some of my posts. I'll be back later to check in.
Blessings to all, ChrissyB
Default Not for me
No StupidBowl in my house. I did some chores and took a short nap during it. The rest of the weekend was church stuff, a little shopping and lots of "me" time.
Leens, today I'll be cooking some Lemon Mustard Chicken and prolly some broccoli or zucchini. I might make the last of the whole wheat couscous I have, but not sure. Dessert is a skinny cow.. Have fun with the low carb. I am not consciously trying to cut those, but am trying to avoid what my mother labeled as "starches" as a kid. Boy I hate it when she is right!!
Cathy, mall walking sounds dangerous.. I mean.. there are STORES there!! and that means shopping!!
I love anything by Stephen King, Tip.. and that was a good movie
Chrissy.. I don't like those services either. I had a funeral to go to 2 weeks ago and I was glad it was over.. they are so distressing.
Work dissatisfaction is rearing it's ugly head today. I think it is because I am so bored. The main production/accounting/ everything system is down from that worm that went around this weekend. 426,000 employees are sitting twidling their thumbs here... Maybe I'll just dream of cookies to make myself feel better.
Linda that is a beautiful cat! Is that your baby? It looks just like the one that I had to put down in September. He was my sweet pie.
Not to much going on here today. We did watch the game last night but we were really there for the commercials. They weren't as good as I thought they would be. We ended up eating pizza last night too but I didn't go over my cals for the day. I am thankful for that.
It is a wonderful day outside today but I think it is going to rain tomorrow. They say that we are low on rain for January but I think they are crazy. My yard is finally starting to dry out from all the rain we got after those hurricanes came through.
I really wish you guys would come to my house and cook. Everything sounds so good.
Good evening ladies,
I wasn't able to get here yesterday or today until now....it must have been the thing about the computer virus over the weekend.
I had a good weekend....felt good. We had our neighbors over Saturday night to play cards....the ladies won....we had fun.
From last Wednesday to Saturday...we had over 2 feet of snow....then it was above freezing today.
Have had 2 good days of being OP with WW. This week I am up to 3 days of walking on the treadmill.
DH & I went out for breakfast.....then we went to Costco after that.
Our dog....Charlie has a birthday today....he is 2 years old today.
Leenie....Happy Anniversary....13 years!!!!!!!!!!!
Cathy....We didn't watch the Super Bowl....DH isn't a sports nut.
Linda.....I used to do mall walking....did it in the morning before the stores opened....that way we only window shopped.
See you tomorrow.
April
Hi everyone,
I've been really busy this weekend doining this and that and still feeling ill and weak, I did sign up for a class in Escrow Occupations, suspose to start on the 29th of this month, but they haven't found a teacher yet.
We watched the superbowl and b-b-q'd , just the four of us.
Happy Anniversary Leens.
Chrissy- That was funny, a superbowl for cereal.
I wish we could get some snow here... maybe sometime soon.
I took my daughter to a bus stop, maybe on wednesday, a puppy followed some boys over to the stop, looked like a lab, the bus driver couldn't drive away, because the puppy did a figure 8 under the bus, since I was the only adult there, I had to call the pup over while the driver left, then I was there w/a pup, I took him home, told my kids we wern't keeping him, so today I found a pet store that took him.
