Hey gang-

Gotta take my dog to the vet at 4pm. I'm trying a new vet and I'm pretty sure she is having seizures. It happened at least 5 times yesterday and twice today to my knowledge. I don't know if there's treatment or what but it's making her lethargic and she doesn't eat unless I physically feed her some interesting people food. Besides her side effects, its wearing on me heavily.

My grandmother is having a Dr.'s visit today to determine if she may need to have surgery/amputation of her foot. She will be 91 this summer and I don't know if she can withstand the surgery. Mentally I think she can handle anything, it's just the physical...Any prayers would be welcome.

Just realized how depressing this is. Sorry. It's dreary and rainy today. I was hoping to finish mowing the small section of the back yard I missed yesterday b/c it started to storm and lightning. Oh well, if I have to watch T.V. instead, I guess I will.

Hope everybody's day is going well.

Hi all -
Well, I went for that job interview... Easiest one I've ever had. The manager said she didn't know if I would need a 2nd interview or she could do the hiring, but hey, it didn't suck.

The only thing is, it's to be a medical claims examiner. My friend keeps telling me that it's super easy, but we'll see how it is to input medical record numbers with a gazillion digits. I am sooo not detail-oriented, and dealing with thyroid/depression-induced concentration problems. Blegh. But I'm pretty sure that I will be able to take my vacation time from my current job to decide whether or not I want to stay. Hopefully, I will get my issues resolved soon after I get my meds figured out. Fake it till ya make it.

Sassy: Where do you live? You're talking about the Titanic exhibit in Ensenada, right?

Rubberlegs, I'm so glad the interview went well...nothing like falling apart afterwards from the nerves built up before the interview LOL. GOOD LUCK !!!

Well kiddies, nothing is new here cept I've got a ton of work to do and only 8 hours to do it in So I'll pop back in later.

HUGS !!!!!

Good morning all,

Thanks Leenie, no word yet on my grandma's situation. The pooch is having something called 'synchopy episodes'. Apparently it is just a progression of the heart disease where she isn't getting enough oxygen to the brain. We raised one of her meds back up, which already seems to be helping some. But really all we can do is make her as happy as possible and wait. She could have a stroke or heart attack anytime.

Yesterday was hard, but I feel better today.

Heather: How was the show last night? I bet you were great.

Debbie: miss hearing from you. How's it going?

Buddly: same to you! Are you doing O.K.?

Hugs to everybody else! Oh, and congrats Rubberlegs!

Morning all - oops, it's afternoon already - Yawn!

Just a quick post - TOM has arrived, so hoping the bloating will go and the scale will read 250 any day now... come on...! Currently at 251.4!

Hope - the show was great... and yeah, I was too - Funny how we live in a society where we aren't 'supposed' to compliment ourselves, huh? Thanks for asking - we're totally sold out for the entire run, so a few more days to go!

Quite looking forward next week to getting my bike out, walking again (boy, am I ever missing it!) and building this screened gazebo we bought for the deck... hubby finds it difficult to sit outside here in Canada without getting eaten alive... I keep telling him the mosquitoes here must love foreign food!

Have a great day all - sorry not to be more personal!

Heather

Good Morning,

Hope thats so sad about your dog, how old is she?

Heather we can't sit outside very long at dusk either, the skeeters here are gross, we live near a river and at the bottom of a mountain (woodsy) so you can imagine. We are building a deck and will enclose it as well... I love the night but can't enjoy it b/c of the bugs and bats.

Nothing much is happening this weekend, my allergies are kicking my butt and I'm just so tired, runny eyes, headache...you get the picture LOL. Maybe I'll do a little (very little) cleaning, sit outside dunno.

Enjoy your Saturday

Thanks Hope! How's the doggie? Any difference? So sorry about your grandma thinking of you!

Leenie - you know what? We hung up a bat-house last year because a few kept trying to 'move in' to our patio umbrella (go on - imagine opening it up and those babies falling out!!)... and the little buggers haven't even been NEAR the silly bat-house!! Oh, you have to laugh!

Met my 2nd mini-goal today - yay! Four days late... but who cares? I am THERE!

Chat to you all after the show ends!

Heather

Hi girls,

The pooch is 10 yrs old Leenie. She didn't want to eat this a.m., but I bought her some fries from McDonald's (which she always loved) and she ate some of those after some coaxing. We truely must be related.

I can't go out much in the summer evenings either for the mosquitoes. I read somewhere once that some of us excrete a certain hormone that they like more than others. I guess I'm one of the lucky b/c they love me. My fiance has even said he's never seen anything like it.

Good for you Heather on the weight loss goal! I have to confess, I've still been off the wagon and haven't been exercising for even the 10 minutes I was supposed to this week. I have been alot more active though than normal with errands, cleaning, and mowing etc. Better than being a total slug, I guess.

It's rainy here and probably will be all weekend, so I think I'll stay in and fix a roast for dinner. Comfort food!

Heather WHOOT on the goal, I'm so happy for you Ya know, there's plenty of woods and trees out there for the bats, if they can't find a home on their own, this homey ain't making them one LOLOL I had a bat laying between the outside door and inside door one time. I thought it was a brown leaf crumbled up until I bent down to get a good look and I noticed it was moving YIKES EEEEEEEEEEEW !!!!!!!!! LOLOL

Hope awww ya know, I would do the same thing....if my pup wasn't feeling good, I would do any and everything just to get her to eat something, anything. My dog loves Pnut M&M's and dang gum it.... she'd get some LOL. I'm the same way with the skeeters, they all come buzzing to me and my DH doesn't get bit at all. He says they like me better because ...... get this ............ I LOOK JUICY !!!! ROFLMFAO

LIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ how are ya darling. I hear ya on the maid, I could really use one too. There just isn't enough time or energy in the day to get everything done. Just trying to get in exercise is a challenge. When I get 1/2 hr to rest I wanna rest... then the guilt sets in OY.
Hang in there dolly.

Okay off to the showers

Have a great night.

CATHY ????????????????????????? we miss you.

Hi all! Have not had a lot the past couple of weeks. My family got really sick but we are finally over it. I got back into exersising everyday this week after I took a week off because I was sick. It went well. The week I was sick, I didn't hardly eat anything and did not exersise either and I did not loose any weight at all. This week I lost another 3.4 lbs. That makes me really happy. Well I will talk to you all later.

Hi everyone

I'm still here, had a few busy days, but nothing exciting.
Went to a "breath easy clinic" with A as her asthma is really acting up. She's a little disappointed as well as nothing came from her job interview. She was really hoping to get that job.
Had parent/teacher interviews, it was so neat meeting C's one teacher as he is dyslexic as well and could understand exactly what I was saying in regards to C's learning difficulties.
Hubby and I took a walk around our property yesterday, saw lots of moose and deer poop and one pile of bear poop. I haven't seen a bear on our property for a few years, so it was nice to know they are still around. The dog had a blast tromping through puddles and all the grass and trees. He came in all wet and muddy with little twigs stuck to his chest. Planning on making a little fire and having a hot dog roast for dinner, unless of course it starts pouring rain.

trish, congrats on your weight loss. Sorry to hear you were so sick though.

Hope, I hope your pup feels better soon and everything goes good for your grandma.

Heather congrats on making your mini goal and for success in your show! That is so neat that you do that.

rubberlegs, congrats on the job interview.

Hi leenie, sassy, cathy, liz

Well I should go and do something, my anxiety is acting up again and I feel all "staticy" inside, so I should burn off the nervous energy instead of letting it make me crazy

Take care everyone and enjoy whats left of the weekend
