Okay, all... I've got a bad thing to tell you. I totally screwed up on my food today, so I just said screw it. It was still pretty healthy, tho... so not a big deal. =) My big cheat was 3 handfuls of yummy cheezits, and not doing my workout.
Oh, well. I've figured out the problem -- I have no good music!! I turn the radio on, and the songs are either way too fast or way too slow, and it bugs me. *G* I'm going to see if I can borrow my mom's walkman cd-player, because she never uses it (haha!), and try to use that to work out with. It'll help if I can put together a cd of songs that work for my workout, eh?
Anyway, in other news, I now feel absolutely sick and worried because there was an Amber Alert issued around 9:40 p.m. That whole motherly-instict kicked in and I just hope that little girl is okay. Ugh! Sick people in this world, anyway...
I have a bunch of work to do, and both the hubby and I are getting a bad cold or something. He's perhaps staying home tomorrow, if he still feels icky. That'd be fine with me. =)
I do have 5 of my pictures back, and even though I'm not -supposed- to show them to anybody... I'm going to post them on a secret page on my website, which isn't accesible unless you know the url!! (As in, not linked on the main page hehe!) These are all B&W, and they aren't even the best shots, but they're good all the same. I LOVE my photographer. She rules!
Anyway, let's all get back on track tomorrow and whoop our butts into gear on the workouts AND on healthy food!! YAY!!!
Since you all know I played hookey from work yesterday to have some "me" time and to work on some stuff...I thought I would share with ya what happened while I was gone from work. BTW, I am Activity Director at a local nursing home!
Anyway...I got two phone calls last night from 2 different co-workers! That doesn't usually happen, but...our administrator got fired yesterday! I was not suprised, but stilll...things are a changin!!!
Lucy and Jennifer and whoever else is not feeling well...get rid of this bug and don't bring it to this list!!! LOL!! I will NOT get sick this Spring (?)...if it ever arrives. Temps still in the 20's & 30's for the next week! DRAT! Seriously...I hope you gals are feeling better in no time. Rest and eat soup! And don't forget to take your vitamins! I'm going to check out your pics as soon as I'm done with this post! Hope you are back on track tomorrow!
Lisagirl...purple polka dot bikini, eh??? Wooo Hooo! I've never owned a bikini...never will, but maybe a little black leather skirt I'd try!!! LOL! You ARE an 80's kind of gal, aren't you??? I am a bit...ahem...older and grew up in the more "refined" 70's era!!! LOL! I prefer my bell bottoms and listening to the Eagles!! (really, no bell bottoms for me!!! but I love the Eagles!)
Last night the family and one of the dogs went for a walk around the block. It was cold but nice to get out as a family! DD loves to take the dog...or rather the dog usually takes her (she's a Siberian Husky!) I am looking forward to more outdoor activities as the weather starts to warm a bit! Camping and hiking and gardening...here we come!!
I have already done my 25 minutes on the bike (sorry, just wasn't into it enough today to get in 30), drank my water, ate my b-fast, packed two lunches and now, if I don't get my butt in the shower, we will be running late!!! LOL
You rock, sistah! You could be the cover for an album!! Now all you need to do is start singing!!! LOL!!! You are gorgeous...and I love the hair!!! How cool! I wish I could see it in color! Aren't photographers the best!? (tee heee, DH is one!!)
Well, I listened to those yelling at me in my journal & I didn't push it last night, or this morning. Tonight, as long as I'm not all fuzzy, I will at least get on the bike & do the UB again, as long as I feel up to it. Of course, I'm all out of whack!
I got home, and was cold...so I put on my nightgown & got under the covers....and promptly fell asleep! Got up a little after 8, talked to Julie, and had dinner of soup and low fat ritz crackers with turkey pepperoni. Curled back up in bed, watched Scrubs, and drifted in & out for a few hours....up at midnight, to get hubby to come to bed so I could stay warm & cuddle to him.
This morning, at least the congestion is more centralized...taking sudafed, and trying to limit the cough drops & stuff so that I'm not dazed later on. LOL.
Breakfast today:
1/3 cup smart start
apple & cinnamon cottage double
1 oz fat free mozzarella cheese
Lunch
3/4 cup ditalini
3/4 cup meat sauce
Kinda slow here today- lots of paperwork to push around today...so I'll be in & out.

Lisa- with 22 points, do you break it up into 3 6 point meals & then have 4 pts left for snacking or desserts, or stuff? Just looking for ways to plan ahead for you... I like the Lisa Aerobics...I was boogie-ing when cleaning, with the MP3 player....course, hubby can't hear the music, but he sees me moving to something fast-paced...lol- that poor man!
Lucy- I've got earl grey tea here at the office, and have had about 4 cups of it in the last 2 days...just trying to break up this congestion. You must have hidden the flu bug somewhere in with the cleaning bug Yeah, it's your fault! LOL. Julie- looks like you got a lot of good stuff while you were shopping! Kewl! Can you do my shopping for me? Pweeese? Kicking butt on the bike- excellent- now back away from the pudding. If K doesn't like them, donate them to a food drive, not your hips! Good news on the jobfront, I take it, with the removal of that person. Does that make your life easier, or harder?
Mary- ok, you won....I took it easy for a day to try to recover...I've gotta listen to the Mad Turtle- I am not invincible, even though I think so in my head. So, no worrying about me. Let's tweak your plan a little & see what we can do with that darned plateua.

Ok, I totally didn't do as bad yesterday as I thought. I didn't really eat lunch, though, so I had a carnation instant breakfast at around 2am (to finish my calories off for the day, AND to kill the heartburn I got from that stupid taco). But honestly, my only real bad point were the 3 handfuls of cheezits. I love realizing that went I felt like I had a crappy day, I didn't. *G*
So, now, today? I think breakfast is going to be 2 scrambled eggs w/ lunchmeat & cheese, 2 slices of toast (with no-cal fake butter goo), and a banana. Sounds good. =)
Lunch is going to be a taco salad, because I have yummy taco meat left over *Drool*
Dinner is going to be chicken pesto, I do believe. Or Shrimp Pasta... hmm. Maybe Shrimp Pasta.
Snacks will be carrots/cauliflower, a tomato, or a granola bar. (I've found that if I keep some chocolate granola bars around the house, I can kill a chocolate craving with one, and it's healthy AND I can reserve it for my late-night snack. YAY.)
I feel a lot better today. The husband went to work -- good! I have 5 tapes to do, but I'm going to do my workout, eat breakfast, and get the dog walked FIRST. That way, I'll be able to concentrate on all of them, and get things DONE. And then I should be done with them ON TIME.
I do need to kick my butt into gear on the bike, though. Is it possible that I'm actually getting bored with it? I doubt it... but... am I really?! Eek!
So here's the workout plan for today, and my incentive to do this is that I'm not allowed to take a shower until I do my whole darn workout! Seems a little weird? Well, my braids came out last night (my hair is WAY too short to handle them, so it's okay), and I basically haven't been able to wash my hair since Friday afternoon. EW. It smells funky and I have a rad 80's crimp going on, but, yeah, I can do without that. *G*
SO. The workout:
20 min bike (at 30 mph, not the 20 I've BEEN doing)
8 min on stepper w/ ankle & free weights
400 situps
AND... *drumroll*... IF I have enough time after I finish my tapes before starting dinner, I get to do my balance ball tape!! YESSS!! (My air pump got lost, so I haven't really been able to sit on it for a month or two, here... hehe!) That oughtta kick my butt into gear real well.
Other than that, today is a get-back-on-track day for me. I WILL do my workout. I WILL stay on track with my food. I WILL get my tapes done, so that after he goes to bed, I can just hang around online and play, and not do work.

I feel like crap today. My son was up all night coughing. I am a walking zombie with awful cramps, and I am a grouchy old HAG! Maybe someone ought to warn my DH before he comes home . My eating has been crazy today, and I feel like having a good cry and then cussing like a sailor! How's that for a hormonal gal??? I promise not to be a grouch to you guys though!! I know days like this come along - but sheesh this day will never end!!!

Okay, workout today was RAD, you guys. I did 25 minutes on the bike (I decided to read while I was doing it, and voila!), 8 min on the stepper (ohhh my arms!), and 400+ situps. By +, I mean that I lost count a few times, so I probably wound up somewhere around 418, but I'm not worried. =)
Also, breakfast changed. The eggs were really bad (ew? GREEN?! I know it's St. Pat's day and all, but dude, seriously... that's just gross).
Sooo my breakfast is now 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 small tomato, carrots, cauliflower, applesauce, 2 slices of chicken breast lunch meat, and 2 slices of toast. Still healthy, and so much food I may not finish it all!! =)
I just wanted to update, because I'm seriously sticking with the idea that if I don't post it, I'll forget about it, and if I forget about it, I'm only lying to myself. =)
Lucy - I had my cry and my bath, and now I feel much better!! I am cooking a yummy & Healthy chicken dish`for supper and some of my favorite veggies.
I am going to post a picture here of me. I think it's neat for us to see what each other looks like. I will have to ask my DH, the techie for assistance. I will get on that asap.

I didn't tell you guys about all the fun I did have today. My Kindergarten class tried to catch the leprechaun with their little leprechaun traps they made. But, alas, they didn't get him - instead he left a note: "He He He! You can't catch me!", and he left them treats. They were wide-eyed with delight. I just had a ball! I love St. Patrick's Day.
LOL, yeah, I'm a bit peppier. It's the Sudafed & Robitussin...lol.
Trying to kill the last 45 minutes here...I'm so bored!!! And I can't focus on work. Oh- today is my 1 year anniversary here at work. Woo Hoo! I can hardly believe I made it to a year without choking someone to death for being such a miserable person.
Thinking that I'll probably do the UB workout tonight, since that's not going to be too stressful. I don't want to take too many days off exercising, because I'll fall right into that "Comfort Zone" of being a lazy couch potato. It took Cristin's Vday Challenge to get my tushie in motion...where would I be now if I hadn't pumped up that part of the program??? I shudder to think!
I'm crampy now on top of everything else. With the excess weight, my cycle went screwy...and now, with the loss happening, it's screwy again. I don't need cramps for 3 days, and then nothing...and now cramps again, and nothing full fledged yet. Cmon- what's up with that??? Grr.
