Worked out yesterday, phew it was a tough one! I also did my 30 minute walk beforehand. Definitely noticing a difference with my strength these days! I also didn't snack after 7pm last night too, so all in all yesterday was a great day

A slight bump up this morning, but that's ok! My bf forgot he needed to marinade chicken for dinner and by the time he realized it was too late to defrost anything, so we decided to order some food from a local restaurant. We ended up getting a piece of fried chicken with some sides, so that probably explains the gain! It was delicious though and I'm happy to support local businesses during this time. Today I'm going to do an Insanity, I'm proud that I'm doing them on my own now instead of waiting for my bf. In the past if he couldn't do it then I would've written it off too, but I'm actually liking the day on, day off schedule. It works for me!

Hope everyone is hanging in there!
  • Hello everyone; today is Friday weigh-in day.
I received an instant pot for Christmas and last Saturday I made beef stew. It was delicious but I used one of those packages of beef stew seasoning.
Well it must have been loaded with sodium or something. I didn't overeat last weekend - much - but by Monday morning my weigh went up 5 lb to 305 from 298.8.
So all week long I have been battling to try to get it back down to 298 again. This morning (Friday) I am at 300.8.
I will do better this weekend I am going to make a pot of lima beans.
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Not too worried about my bump up in weight this morning, I'm feeling good about my physical strength! I worked out yesterday and did my daily walk. I think the increase this morning is because I had a slice of bread with PB on at around 10pm since I didn't have dinner. I'm starting to get back into Twitch streaming and keeping a schedule is important, so by the time I started streaming dinner wasn't ready. Glad I didn't have a curry at 10pm so the PB was to tide me over! Feeling good that these little increases aren't bothering me like they would have before! OH! Also, a pair of shorts felt a bit snug at the beginning of the month, but I wore them yesterday and they felt fine so I'm happy

It's my birthday weekend, with my actual birthday being on Monday, so not sure how often I'll post! If I don't stop by, have a good and safe weekend.

darius - Yeah, I think a lot of season packets have a tonne of salt in. I was shocked when I discovered how much sodium is in a can of soup! It's a common thought that a can of soup is somewhat healthy, but oh how the nutritional label tells the truth Keep drinking water and you'll shake the weight in no time!

  • Thank you Riestrella for the words of encouragement. Oh yes I like the feeling of pants getting looser. I recently bought a smaller pair of pants for work.
  • I’m trying to find a silver lining to the Covid shelter in place situation. I have not been short of food. However, because shopping is more of a pain, and delivery is also a pain, I’m much more conscious of what I eat, and am more consciously thankful of the fact that I have basic nutritious food available, if not all the usual luxuries. The silver lining is that the weight is coming off pretty reliably.

Saturday I had a good start to the day, I did Insanity and my 30 minute walk. The evening I celebrated my birthday with a karaoke session with friends (we've been self isolating in the same building for 3 weeks) and had a LOT to drink + 1.5 servings of BBQ. I had an amazing time and got very drunk Unfortunately I had a bit of a bubbly stomach earlier in the night so I had to take a couple rounds of pepto, which always throws my poop schedule off for a few days
Yesterday I was recovering, I think I drank about 5 bottles of water! I ate quite a bit too, toast, leftover BBQ and then Katsudon at around 8pm. This morning I weighed in at 197.2 lbs, had to step on the scale a few times to make sure it was right, but sure enough! Not gonna beat myself up, it's all of the above and I had a great time so no regrets. Today is my actual birthday, so I'm going to be naughty for one more day (burger and cake) but I'm going to also stick to my workout routine and do an Insanity and walk. The pepto seems to finally be passing through my system so I'm hoping that'll cause a drop too. The 197.2 lbs will probably throw off my average for the week but oh well, it's my birthday weekend!

darius - It's always nice having to buy smaller clothes, well done!

Slimmer me - Congrats on the loss this month! It's been a good time to focus on weight loss despite the situation.

JenyRedy - That sounds wonderful and well done on losing weight!

My birthday yesterday was nice and chill, but I'm easily pleased so I didn't mind! The big celebration was on Saturday . I didn't end up doing an Insanity, I was waiting for my bf but by the end of the day he was super stressed out with work so we're gonna do it today instead. We did go on the 30 minute walk so better than nothing! I also told him that I'm not gonna wait for him to workout in future, because I actually feel a momentum and want to keep up my routine. Usually by the evening I get so sluggish anyway. He understood and is gonna try and make time for when I'm ready. Despite the lack of working out, the huge burger and fries and cake I managed to weigh in 1.4 lbs lighter today! Yay

Another little drop today which was nice to see. We're running out of breakfast/lunch food and the bf only has time to go shopping tomorrow, so last night I had a PB&J pretty late since I felt weak from hunger. I was trying to avoid eating too much bread but that's practically all we have other than trail mix and there's only so much trail mix a gal can take
I had a bad nights sleep the night before so yesterday was unproductive. I didn't make it on my walk . I did do an Insanity though, so that's good! Bf was saying how much better my form seems, I definitely feel like I'm getting stronger.

Today I woke up feeling super drained and sniffly, luckily an allergy pill has helped, so I'm just gonna do my best. Gonna try and get out on that walk! Hope you guys are doing well.

darius - Thank you! Yeah, katsudon is a great, easy dish

Got snacky again last night due to our limited food options, which explains the little bump up this morning. I did do my walk and managed to hurt a muscle in my IT band which seized up last night, ouccch! Luckily it's feeling better today, just a little tender. Hoping to get an Insanity done today regardless, will take it easier than usual and roll out after which will suuuck. I might have to drive around and look for some. I thought a month later things would start getting back to normal, but apparently not. This whole situation is frustrating and sad I wish people would stop freaking panic buying!!
  • Quote: Since I just slipped into Onederland, my goal is to stay below 200.

My scale is in kgs, so I'm looking for numbers that are 90.7 are lower.
Don't worry, you will surely get there, it's going to take some time ofcourse, concentration & dedication also let's not forget a strict diet is also key.
  • Hello everyone; today is Friday weigh-in day.
Had a big woosh yesteday and today. Finally got rid of some of this excess water.
I have been waiting for this woosh for a week and a half.
Have been eating on plan all week.
I am not eating any bread or refined carbohydrates; trying to control my TyII diabetes.
    Congratulations Riestrella for your progress.
Congrats JennyRedy and Slimmer Me you all are making progress!
I really hate these big sodium retention events that seem to last an entire week for me.
What happened to me 2 weekends ago - made a nice beef stew on Saturday;morning weight was under 299. Monday morning weight was 305
Took a week and a half for it to come down again
