    I don't think I can lose a lb overnight. This turtle slow weight loss is depressing! I need to remind myself of what I have accomplished this year overall, not what the past month has been like.

    I'm back from Colorado! It was pretty underwhelming unfortunately. My boyfriends parents aren't the best of hosts, while very generous they tend to do their own thing and without our usual forms of entertainment we were pretty bored for most of the time. We went for a week because the flights were significantly cheaper, but next time we're going to stay for 4-5 days. After day 3 we were starting to get stir crazy!

    Christmas was also a let down, their dog was showing signs of losing her sight which was awful, but at the same time it's not necessarily a death sentence but his parents were acting that way. The whole day was just glum, to be honest I felt like it was a bit of a wasted trip. When my boyfriend and I got home, we had our own Christmas and it was wonderful. We had a nice breakfast, opened presents, went to a sushi lunch with friends, then hung out for the rest of the day. So much better than actual Christmas!

    Thankfully I didn't really gain much over the holidays, which is great! I didn't really stick with intermittent fasting, but I also didn't overeat as much so I'm glad it showed on the scale. I'm feeling a little frazzled being back and going back into my routine, I had a nice weekend relaxing, but I think I might need one more day to prepare for the world! Especially with new years day around the corner. Learning to forgive myself and accept that I need a little longer than most to get back into the swing of things

  • So I'm still here. I haven't done very well at moving the scale downward. In fact, today was 173.4, which is higher still. November and December have been sort of exactly the opposite of everything I was planning on. I expected to work less hours, be more relaxed, with more time and energy for food prep and working out. Instead, I've been overtime almost every week, with more stress than usual, and as a result, have done almost no food prep and no working out. Went for a walk on Saturday and was sore after just 3 miles. I was doing 4.5 miles before every day. So I need to build back up. Winter is hard, though, not because of the cold, but because the days are so short. Dark when I go to work, dark when I get home, makes it tough to go for lots of walks.

    January likely won't be a lot better, as we still have all the stuff that's been keeping me busy plus 1099s to get done as well. I'm looking forward to February, when I plan to take an overdue stay-cation.

    Anyway, I likely won't weigh in tomorrow, so my end of month is 173.4, which I believe is +2.8 for the month, and about 6 total pounds up from the lowest I've seen.
