  • Happy Friday ladies!!!!!!!

boatingmommy That is awesome that your bathroom turned out the way you envisioned, it sounds beautiful! I am sorry to hear about your arthritis. Do you get relief ever, or are you constantly in pain? I am in awe that you are still so active even though you have a good reason to take it easy! I hate mosquitoes!!! I have had a very sore throat, aching ears, aching body since Wednesday. I felt feverish Wednesday and Thursday but today I am just weak. I don't get sick with these symptoms often thank goodness!

I am down to a new low of 160 but I will likely see a bounce back up after I get my appetite and water consumption back up.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!! I will probably pop in and post for my own accountability.. no binges this weekend!!!!!!!
  • Yippee!!! The weekend is upon us...and oh no... the weekend is upon us. I have mixed feelings...glad to have time off, but scared that my eating will go awry. I'm going to try sooooo hard to keep the beers to a very minimum, and watch my eating on the boat.
kfunk - Sorry about the illness! Sounds like you got it bad. Hopefully, your immune system will kick it's butt soon and you'll be better. I don't normally catch too much stuff, either. Too many years seeing little kiddos that I've built up a pretty good tolerance. With my arthritis the pain comes and goes. Some days it's a constant dull pain in my hands and joints, other days seem better. I don't take any medications...mostly because I don't want to get started on that (not to mention the cost of prescription drugs!). I manage. I find that working out doesn't make it any worse, so might as well get moving. Yay on the new low! You've done sooooo well with your journey!

GettinFit - Hello out there??? Stop in soon!

Weight today sucks - 195.1 I know this is going down as soon as TOM is done, just wish it would drop RIGHT NOW!
  • boatingmommy I hope you are having a nice weekend and not drinking too many beers like you had hoped! I love your attitude regarding your arthritis, its inspirational to me. Its awesome that you are able to manage it without medications! I hope that you get a nice whoosh after TOM leaves!!

So far the weekend has been pretty good for me. We went to my inlaws yesterday and bbq'd for lunch. I did a really good job stopping when I was starting to feel full instead off eating more because it was so good. I went 7 points over yesterday but that was the first time I dipped into my weeklies all week so had plenty to spare.
  • kfunk - The weekend is at a close...and once again I am dreading the scale. I tried to watch myself, and I managed to get my exercise in...but those devilish beverages were too tempting. We worked around the yard today and my hubby smoked some chicken and ribs. I only had one rib and enjoyed the chicken. There's plenty left for the week. No beers today, but I'll be paying for Friday and Saturday.

I have to be up and out the door super early tomorrow. I have a conference in Southern Illinois, so I won't get to post until late. Have a great start to the week!

It sounds like you did really well! Any ups on the scale likely are water related and should be out of your system in a couple days. I hope that your conference goes well today!!

gettnfit Good morning, how have you been doing?
  • Good morning ladies!! I hope you are doing well.

Yesterday was a good day, had a few points leftover and even managed a workout!
  • Hello! I am up and working from home today. Lots of paperwork to catch up on after a day of conference and then a day of going on visits. I hope to finish packing my camper this evening and doing a Turbo Jam. I am packing my good walking shoes and even a workout video or two for our weekend. Tomorrow I get up early and head to the office for a full day of school meetings, then I am meeting hubby and 8 other couples at the campground. We will be without computer until Monday, so I'll not be able to chat. My goal for the weekend is to get up each morning and get some sort of exercise in - close my rings on my iwatch. That way I know I will have at least burned 600 calories and that's at least a few beers. We have a large pontoon boat and everyone will be on it this weekend. I packed a pineapple and cantaloupe, and am picking up a veggie tray today to snack on while boating. There will also be deer sausage, cheese and crackers, but I'm going to do my best to stay away from them. I only bought light beers - still bad, I know - but better than the stuff I like that is way higher in calories! Do you have any Memorial weekend plans?

kfunk - Good for you on the leftover pts and workout. What is your favorite way to exercise? We have a great walking track here, but I haven't been using it as much as I should.

GettinFit - Come back! We miss you!

    Okay...today's weight 193.5
  • Boatingmommy- Wow, you sound super busy!! Your upcoming weekend sounds amazing! I wish that my husband and I had that many friends to go boating with! I find I really like being around people now that I am regaining confidence from losing weight. Your plan for getting in your exercise early sounds great, should set a positive tone for the day! What kind of light beer did you buy? I drink light beer and love it, and miss it! I like your snack options as well as I am a huge fan of pineapple and cantaloupe!! You know, I don’t think that we do have plans.. we will have to throw something fun together! Memorial weekend sure snuck up on me this year! Saturday we are going to my neice’s 3rd bday and I am not sure what will be on the menu, but plan to do what I did last weekend and should be fine.
If I am honest I hate exercising, but I am hopeful that might change some day. I like the 30 Day Shred because it is really difficult and short. I also enjoy walking on the treadmill while watching TV. I don’t watch TV outside of that so it is kind of fun to catch up on shows that peak my interest!
Congrats on your weigh in, good job!!
  • kfunk - making last minute preparations and thought I would check in. Got most stuff packed and ready for a long weekend. Good thing is there's a couple of health nuts with me.. they will guilt me into being a better person. We are lucky people .. .we have friends that we have camped with for many years. Our kids were all about the same age at the time we started. Unfortunately , or not...none of our kids were the baseball, summer sports kids type of kids. So, we camped without having to go back to town for ball game or special events. I wish i had made my kid more involved in sports. She has lots of weight issues. Ok... don't want to start thinking about all the ways we should have done this or that.

Ready as I can be for the weekend. Hope you have a great one too! If you don't want to exercise...find a game to play outside on the picnic table or just enjoy some time together. Hang in there girl!
  • boatingmommy Friendships like that are so valuable!!! it definitely helps that you have some health nuts that will be with you!! For what it is worth I think you made the right choice letting your daughter pick her own path without forcing her into sports that she didn't have interest in. My 7 year old daughter is a sport nut, she LOVES it!!! Hockey is the sport of choice, but she will be starting soccer this summer and has a lot of interest in playing ball as well. My 4 year old son just started T ball for the first time and he HATES it. He is just not athletically inclined and that is okay!! Things may change as he gets older, but if he doesn't want to play sports we will find alternative things for him to get excited about, just like you did with your daughter.

I ended up doing the 30 Day Shred last night even though I really didn't want to! I have been working late and am very tired, but I am super pumped that I did it. I charged my fitbit and will be wearing that to challenge myself to get in my steps!! I hope that you have a fabulous weekend!!!!!!
  • Hello ladies, I'm back! I had a wonderful time on the cruise and I didn't do too bad with my eating. I'm holding on to water from the high sodium though. I'll weigh myself tomorrow. I am excited to get back to WW 100% now. I just purchased another 3 month plan so I'm committed.

I hope you ladies are having a great weekend!
  • Hello all,
I would love to join the thread. A little back story on me. I’m 32, live in the south and am married. I have multiple chronic illnesses that have left me homebound and most days bed ridden in pain. I’m on a restricted diet due to one of my illnesses because of all the reactions and that leaves me feeling very deprived that makes me want to binge. This has dangerous consequences due to my chronic illnesses. I try and keep busy around the home doing what I can do when I can do it.

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday.
  • Hi and welcome desiresdestiny. Of course we'd be happy for you to join the challenge. So sorry to hear about your pain and I hope you are able to fight the binges. I look forward to hearing about your successes!
  • Day 2 of being back on track. I went to a Weight Watchers meeting today since the center will be closed tomorrow. I am excited to be back on plan and looking forward to seeing the pounds come off. I feel so much better physically when I followed the program. A good friend joined last week and lost 5 pounds her first week. We are going to help each other stay on track.

I hope you ladies are all having a wonderful day.
  • gettnfit Welcome back from your cruise!! Glad to hear that you had a great time and also made good choices with your food while you were away!! That is awesome that you are exciting about being back in WW and that you have a friend that is doing it with you!! My 3 month subscription ends next week and I plan on going on another 3 month plan.

destiny Welcome!! I hope that you find the support that you are looking for here! I am sorry to hear about your chronic illnesses. I can relate to the desire to want to binge.

Today I did not track WW points, and while I did eat more than I normally would have, I also was way more active working outside in the yard. I am feeling like a bottomless pit right now after a huge dinner. My TOM is due in a week, grrr!!
