Ange- You look super cute!!! I don't think that I would ever be able to knit like that, very well done!! I am excited to wear cute skirts and tights in the winter. I hope you enjoyed your glass of wine and pasta!

We went to a big family gathering today and I didn't do great, but certainly not terrible. I had coffee and eggs before we went and then at the BBQ I only drank water. I had a brat and very small portions of baked beans, a couple different pasta salads, taco salad. I did have 3 lemon bars (super small) and a couple other small deserts. I am done eating for the rest of the night and then tomorrow I will be strict to make up for it.

It's Friday, so it's nearly weekend!!

I"m very looking forward to it already, although I haven't got anything really planned. Hubby's keen to cook a big roast dinner on either Saturday or Sunday, and we'll probably eat out locally somewhere the other day. We got the veggies for it in the supermarket last night, but will get the meat from the butcher on Saturday.
This is all good though because now I've hit maintenance I've got all these extra calories to play with!!! Plus the roast will be quite manageable (plenty of veggies and go easy on the meat, avoid potatoes/Yorkshire pudding, skip dessert). Guess that might sound quite restrictive, but to be honest none of the 'skip' items appeal particularly anyway, and i'd just be eating them for the sake of it if I did. Also i'm still in a great mindframe and truly don't have an interest in overindulging and ending up feeling stuffed. (Although it's all very well to say this on a Friday and then be in a different frame of mind by Sunday!). The temptation of a few glasses of wine is most likely to be the culprit to give me a 'good' weekend or 'bad' weekend.

It's cold here though. Or to be honest it's not really cold, but i'm soft, especially now that I've lost weight, and our house is designed for allowing a summer cooling breeze to pass through it and has terrible insulation for winter. I bought one of those wearable sleeping bags a month or so ago and it's superb!!! I wear it around the house when I'm working in the home-office and it's really cosy (except I have to rip it off quickly whenever anyone comes to the door, so they don't see it - not something I need anyone else to know about really!)
