    I've kinda slowed down on the amount of walking, but I have been doing the bone broth diet, and Dr Kellyann says to do a little less exercise on the mini-fasting days. I can hardly believe it, but that diet really did help me drop 5 pounds in one week, which is almost unheard of at my age! (over 60) Back in my 20's or 30's I could drop eight that fast, but not in the last 25 years. And without feeling hungry, too.
    I did walk two miles this evening and it felt good.
  • 165 miles for the year (both exercise and daily movement). I'm not very consistent, nor is the weather for walking outside. Even my cats want outside to go to the bathroom and then are asking to get back inside on the cold days.

    Ange & Rosinante, all this talk about getting a new dog must be rubbing off. I finally talked about it with DH this morning and he is ready for a new dog also. We both want another lover dog like our part lab. We are not in a rush, but I guess we can start looking!!! I love reading about both of your dog adventures.

    C7KB, I am so impressed with your lifting every other day - keep up the wonderful routine! You must be a northener with "cruddy weather" like me. I live in Eastern Oregon and this winter we are normal dry with occasional wicked cold(got down to 20 this morning). Guess you can tell I'm not fond of the cold.

    Tabbycat , Good to see your check in. Do tell about that new eating routine, I'm an over 60 also, a real challenge to lose weight.

    Curvey, Good to see your check in. Hope you start wearing your fitbit more consistently. When I charge mine I have to take it off the caribener or I'll wear the empty shell all day, ha, ha.

    I can recommend the bone broth diet (book by Dr Kellyann Petrucci). I lost ten pounds in the 21 days without feeling deprived. And I felt really good, which I guess is to be expected when you don't eat refined sugar, flour, wheat, grains. I don't think the weight all stayed off after the 21 days, but probably five pounds is gone for good. I will probably do the 21 days again soon.

    I've finished painting for an April art show called "People, Places and Critters." Now I can catch up on some things. My ds is coming home at spring break for a break year. He's just not happy at college. I'm tense about this and trying to help a young adult find his way in the world.
