Are you adjusting your exercise due to summer heat? We're going to have a high of 95 degrees today. I think it will be wise for me to get my walk completed this morning while it's still in the 80s.

gardenerjoy - A high of 95, you have my sympathy! I hope you've been able to get your walks in before the heat hits hard. On my days off, I wake up around the same time as my work days, before 6 am. It works out well because I ride my bike then to avoid the heat later in the day.

Ten minutes of yoga, first thing in the morning, has turned out to be a much easier habit to develop than I expected. I think that's partly because the benefits are so obvious -- my mornings are calmer and my movements feel more free all day long.

Hi everyone! I'd like to change my exercise goal to swimming laps for 30 minutes three days/week (on the same days as the C25K)- I have an old knee injury that has started to flare up with the running and I've been benched.. the doc says swimming should be fine unless it causes the same issue. I figured that swimming, while it is a great work out, will be easier on the joints. :swim:

7/3: 2.1 miles, 15:58 min/mile walk and 10:12 min/mile run
7/5: 2.05 mi, 17:26 min/mile walk and 10:04 min/mile run
7/7: 1.86 mi, 18:40 min/mile walk and 10:56 min/mile run
Week 1 Fitbit Step Goal met each day except 7/7

7/10: 2.5 miles, 15:55 min/mile walk and 10:02 min/mile run
7/12 (goal changed): 30 minutes of swimming
7/14: 30 minutes of swimming
