I was lazy. I didn't meet my half way target. I will get a good number today as I am taking a new teacher to one of our schools that is a good walk to get to. I will also keep up with the rest of my steps, but it is a long one at work so might not get any other workouts in. I WILL pass half way today!

Goal: Average of 90 active minutes a day for the month = 2520
Minutes completed: 1232 Minutes to go: 1288

1 - 83 mins
2 - 83 mins
3 - 137 mins
4 - 104 mins
5 - 211 mins
6 - 93 mins
7 - 101 mins
8 - 73 mins
9 - 95 mins
10 - 65 mins
11 - 116 mins
12 - 71 mins not good enough for a Sunday, but I didn't have any get up and go yesterday.

I did lots of cardio yesterday, kind of happy that I can do up to 35 minutes at a good clip now on my free strider. When I started on Jan 23 I found 8 minutes comfortable and 10 really hard so I have nice gains there I'm pleased with. I think today is actually my 21st day straight of working out and I feel this is a habit I can keep, feeling confident about a lifestyle change going forward.

I'm still awkward a bit with my weight work but moves I almost couldn't complete properly once I'm up to 8 reps of now so it's clearly working. Those upper arm wobbles should be considering themselves served. Feeling stronger!

Week one total 276 minutes
8 70
9 47
10 37
11 27
12 60

nightsnacker wow to all of your exercise gains already, well done! Especially feeling it is a habit you can keep, fantastic!

I had a good moving day today, had to do quite a bit of walking on work's time which is always a bonus! Not getting myself into a regular actual workout routine yet, but today was a 12 hour work day so not a lot of time. tomorrow may be a shorter, if it is I will work out!

I'm a little frustrated with my husband right now and feeling very emotional, it was a really tough day, so I might go work my emotions out on the elliptical. I don't know yet. I need to wait and see what my body really wants. I may just need to lay on the couch and take a nap. Gah, too many different feelings!

Well, skipping a whole week of exercise surely isn't going to help me hit my numbers in a short month. :eyeroll: I'll try and do better.

Feb.01 - Shelly Dose cardio/weights, 37 minutes = 37 min.
Feb. 02 - 0
Feb. 03 - Cardio'light weights, 32 min., 30 min. shoveling = 62 min; 92 min.
Feb. 04 - 0
Feb. 05 - Shelly Dose cardio, 12 min; = 104 min.
Feb. 06 - Shoveling, 10 min. = 114 min.
Feb. 07 - 0
Feb. 08 - 2 hours heavy shoveling = 120 min. = 234 min.
(I usually minimize my shoveling minutes, but this truly was over 2 hours of constant muscle tensing, weight bearing, heavy breathing)
Feb. 09 - 0
Feb. 10 - shoveling! 20 min. = 254 min.
Feb. 11 - shoveling!! 60 min. = 314 min.
Feb. 12 - 0
Feb. 13 - shoveling, 2 hours (it was over a foot deep!) 434 min
Feb. 14 - knocking back snowbanks, 60 min = 494 min.
I am NOT happy about having to shovel so much, and that is is replacing my dvd workout time, but I AM happy that I am not sore afterwards!

takingcontrol My night did end up getting better. My husband works 80 hours a week. It's hard for me to balance knowing that he needs his time and space to recharge but I also want that time with him. It's hard to feel like I'm being ignored as he zones out into his video games. I know he doesn't do it maliciously, he just needs his time alone.

Today I finally got a new Fitbit. I've missed having one since July. My family and I were out on a boat just enjoying the summer and having family in town. We found a nice place to go swimming. I was getting ready to go in when my niece thought it would be funny to push me off the boat. I didn't mind, that's how we are, except I didn't have a chance to take my Fitbit off. The water killed it. I never told my niece that though. I don't want her feeling bad. But today I finally got a new one!! I just so happened to be walking past an endcap at Target and there they were, ON CLEARANCE! I got my Charge HR for $75! Tomorrow is my workout day off.

Two week lookback, sticking to my workout goals nicely, a few days a week I go real easy as healing days but can't really skip any, I'm afraid of losing my roll. I think I'd miss working out now that I'm getting better at it.

This week I added a resistance band that I half lazily mess with during TV time all day. After noting the burn I'm getting in my sides and chest I'm logging those minutes more officially going forward, it's definitely working some muscles my weights aren't!

Week one total 276 minutes
8 70
9 47
10 37
11 27
12 60
13 45
14 57
Week two total 343= 619 for first two weeks, on target!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to exercise today. I started a new dose of one of my medications last night and it has a very strong effect on my blood pressure. While I don't exactly feel dizzy or weak I can barely keep my eyes open. I had that feeling a couple weeks ago when I first started it so I think I just need to adjust. I might try the recumbent bike since that doesn't require standing or balance.
