So far June has been good for me, I just have to be mindful on the weekends of what I am eating and drinking.
Trip to the doctor yesterday for allergy problems and I have decided that I am not getting on their scale again unless it is first thing in the am. When I weigh myself at home it's first thing in the morning before I get in the shower, but going to the doctor at 4:30 in the afternoon after a day full of meals and like a gallon of water...that scale really plays with your mind. Oh and my doctor and I looked at my weight progress while I was there, turns out my starting weight was 5lbs more than I thought :o don't know how I missed that. I guess on the bright side that just means I have lost 5 more lbs...

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

Good Evening Everyone,

Just stopping by after a busy day of shopping. Now off to do some gardening. I hope everyone has a great weekend. And remember we can stay on track for the weekend, Sat and Sun is just another day:)

Jacqui_D 06-06-2015 06:02 PM

A nasty little lb decided to jump on me today, lol! Actually, my RA is flaring up and I'm sure the inflammation isn't helping my scale. But on the bright side, today is cheat day! I'm always happy about that! :D

Lovemylife, yeah, my Dad's scale is the old type with the dial. Mine is digital, but it's not as accurate as some people's. Mine only measures in .5 increments. Many people on here have scales that measure in .1 increments, which is nice! Using the Wellness Center scale is good idea! :goodscale:
Delphi, congrats on the whoosh! :woohoo:
Sandye, I think it's a smart idea to take your own scale to CA! Are driving or flying?
Noname, woohoo on the new low! :yay:
Gordongirl, steady 170's are in your very near future! :cp:
Turtle, congrats on another new low! :flame:
Cat, yay on the whoosh! Your dedication is paying off! Keep it up!
Scout, what you're doing is working, scale or no scale! :flow2:
Leah, congrats on the drop! :dancer:
Noggs, wow! you're doing fantastic! :bravo:
VickieLou, a new low, woot woot! :carrot:

berryblondeboys 06-07-2015 08:27 AM

I update my weigh in on page two every day, but I said I would post a weekly update. Got a nice whoosh this morning to make me exactly at 4 pounds lost. Woohoo! Probably all of that won't stick, but it's showing the trend at least!

Delphi 06-07-2015 09:12 AM

berryblondeboys ~ :carrot: Glad you saw that whoosh.

Jacqui_D ~ Do you think the RA flares affect the scale? Do we retain more water during those flares? That would explain why the scale just acts weird for me sometimes. Because of my job, my hands are in a constant state of flare. My RA is steady in the hands but different days I experience different joint/limb pain. It likes to move a lot. Never thought that it could affect my weight loss.

lovemylife001 ~ Gardening sounds relaxing. Anything specific you are growing? I don't have a garden per se but I do love my flowers. They take some attention but I love taking care of our yard. ( Just wish the bums down the street would.) Enjoy!

LovelyLeah ~ Thanks for the information. Apparently, they are really popular. There are just so many choices out there now. Its always good to get those reviews from a friendly source. So thanks again. Hows the scale treating you? Hopefully well.

VickieLou ~ :congrat: on hitting Onederland.

Noggs ~ Well wasn't that a nice surprise. You are further along then you thought. Thats awesome. Now keep up the great work.

Ambience ~ Thanks for the information. I have a few friends that love theirs as well. I will definitely have to look into it. Does it have a display?

CatRN78 ~ :bravo: on that drop. Whatever you are doing, sure is working for you. 100 ounces a day? Does that come pretty easy or do you have to be mindful about when your drinking your water? Just curious.

Turtle11, GordonGirl16 and NNS ~ Congrats on the losses. :woohoo:

Sandye ~ LMAO. I had forgotten about the "lawnmower man"...too funny. No, we actually created a web based forum in 2008 and we ran that for years, strictly platonic/business type relationship. Then one fateful trip to Universal and the rest is history. Hes awesome. :val2: In any case, so how is the homeschooling coming along. Are they pretty strict about when and how you do the homeschooling?

Well, the weekend went pretty well for me. I have been tinkering around with the "Intermittent Fasting" that I have been reading about. Though, I'm not sure if that is something sustainable. For me, I'm just trying to find something that just doesn't work now but works later. I ALWAYS gain the weight back. It never fails. So, as I make this FINAL journey, I want to make sure I do something that is going to work indefinitely. But honestly, that will depend more upon my way of thinking and not a "diet." So weight is staying the same. No loss, no gain. No pain.. I have my 8 hours to put in for work today and then 3 miles with my middle son. Football practice starts up again in July and well, he hasn't exactly been moving much but his thumbs on a controller, so we have made a plan of walking/jogging at certain times and scheduled workouts for him as well. In july, TN summer, its going to be HOT, HOT, HOT. Well, I guess that is about it folks. I managed to stay on plan for my weekend, I checked in as per goal and my week is off to a great start. Sure hope you guys finish out your weekends with a smile.

Hi all! :grouphug:

I've been popping in from time to time throughout the week to check out all the progress. Congrats to everyone that has a recorded loss!! :cp:

This past Monday, I started my journey on the Warrior Diet. I'm not going to lie to you, the first three days were brutal. Fasting during the a.m. hours and lowering my total calorie intake was difficult. And then I woke up Thursday morning, free of my out of control carb cravings! Are you kidding me? I finally found something sustainable! I'm overjoyed!

And now it's almost time to weigh-in. (tomorrow morning) Come on scale do your worst.

I'm truly motivated and inspired by every single one of you. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Be back soon.

Jacqui_D 06-07-2015 09:34 PM

BerryBB, congrats on the whoosh! :cb:

Delphi, water retention can be caused by histamine, which the body produces to fight inflammation. Not only that, but if we take anti-inflammatory meds, they can cause water retention too! Catch-22! :dizzy:

Leah, TOM usually brings a nice whoosh! :crossed:

Joy, perfect, thank you! :)

Dangerous, congrats on finding the diet that works for you, and :goodluck: on your weigh-in!

Congrats to everyone on here, you're all doing amazing! I know we can do it!

Good Morning Everyone,

Stopping by for a check morning check-in. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I weighed in this morning and had a 1.2lb lose, not as much as I hoped for, but still ok.

Delphi: I have a shady area in my front yard, so I planted some Rosy Leaf Caladium, they tend to do well in shade. I love gardening, it's so relaxing, just wish I had more time to do it.

Will check in later. Everyone have a great day:)

Delphi 06-08-2015 09:00 AM

Morning all. Lets try to get through Monday shall we?

Jacqui ~ I had no idea. I take ibuprofen at least once a day, usually at the start of the day to help with the inflammation on work days as that is when my hands are at their worst. Well crud. How they heck do we get through that? I was hopeful that as the weight came down and my diet changed, that it would help with the RA/lupus. Thats the story I told my doctor anyway. I wanted a year to try ALL conservative measures to see if it helps at all. I suppose as the months go by, we shall see.

dangerouscurves76 ~ That is awesome. I think when we find that thing that works we just run with it and better for it. So glad, you found that thing. Good luck with your weigh-in.
___________

As for me, I'm feeling sluggish this morning. I had a hard time getting to sleep last night and hit snooze this morning which I never do, so I'm getting a late start and it just pushes my whole day back. Argh :stars: But, the scale was teetering on another loss but I suppose I will wait and see what it has in store for me tomorrow. I sure hope you guys have a great Monday.
