Okay, after a long weekend away it's time to post again..I was avoiding making the numbers public. A lot of it is water weight but unfortunately I think some actual fat gain. I would be happy with any loss this month at this rate, and I'm gonna work my butt off to do it!

curvynotlumpy Perspective is important. We can get so inside our own heads about weight loss that it becomes this monsterously huge thing. I'm sorry your reminder to have perspective was so tragic. I'm sure your support is invaluable to your friend right now.

My week was full of poor diet and exercise decisions, resulting in no loss whatsoever. this is the last week that I'm off of work, so I'm interested to see how the structure of my workday affects my eating/exercise. I have the best of intentions, but it means planning/making meals ahead and just generally managing my time better.

Yesterday one of my patients gave me a box full of chocolate to celebrate the end of his treatment. I ate 3 smaller versions of famous chocolates and gave the rest to a colleage who has children and not enough money to get them candy or anything fancy really. Win-win situation.

My dp's health has become a concern... she is in a lot of pain and has an injury in one of the muscles that supports her hip. She just had a shot yesterday which was suposed to end the pain completely but the pain has just lowered from level 10 to 5. I'm really worried.... there will be a MRI to try and figure if it is something serious, which ranges from a more serious injury to a tumor. She can only have the MRI in september (crazy health insurance schedule). I'm afraid she'll have to stop working and we might be out of money for a while, relying only on my income, which is not enough to get us by... :(

I laugh in the face of my goal. Seriously. Maybe I'll at least see a one pound loss by the end of the month. However, as is my history, a small loss this month will likely mean a large loss next month.

I want to thank everyone who gave me support and even prayers for my family. It means a lot to me, since in the last couple of years we've gone through some hard times with family members being sick. It's wonderful to read how people are doing. The support system here is amazing.

Down 2 more pounds 154 now. (3 lbs total lost) It feels good.

Nachos and salsa were calling me last night while I was watching a movie, but I had a handful of frozen blueberries instead. Baby steps.

My back was really sore for some reason all week so I haven't been working out before work. It's better now so I've started my workouts again today.

Stubbornly stillllllllllllllll at 69kg when last I checked. Weighing in tomorrow for the Halloween challenge, hoping to be solidly between the 68 and 69 tick marks on the scale...which is still technically 69, but in a much less cranky way. lol

wantochange you're more than halfway to your Aug goal AND you resisted nachos? Sounds like a fantastic day to me! Plus, blueberries are hardly a shabby consolation prize. I'm a bit of a fruit fiend though... :) Glad to hear your back is feeling better.
