Goal weight: 155 Aug 1: 165 Aug 7: 163 I'm hoping I can join in the August challenge, even though a week late. I was a regular participant in 3FC and this challenge last year, but dropped off the board due to health issues. Over the past six months, I've undergone surgery and, regrettably, gained 25 lbs :( However, I'm determined to get back on track and, since this challenge helped me before, I'm hoping it helps again. I started off August at 165 and I'm hoping to get down to 155 by the end of the month. As of this morning, I was down to 163...so a reasonably good start! |

My scales showed a 2.25 lb drop this morning...woohoo! However, I weighed myself a few hours later than normal (since I slept in a bit), and that might have been part of the reason. We shall see whether the loss remains tomorrow morning, when I will be up at the normal time. Here's hoping!

I've been eating a little bit more than usual every day. Work is so stressful right now and i'm feeling crazy hungry some days! Why do i have weeks when i feel satisfied with the amount of food i eat and others in which i am so hungry? Do any of you guys go through this?:?:

Marina_Brasil: yep. One of the things I discovered when I quit overeating was that some days are hungrier than others. Who knew? I often just tell myself that and it makes it easier to stick to my plan. Occasionally, I'll allow an extra small snack -- something that I might have planned had I known I was going to be hungry.
August goal: 82.0 kgs, new August goal: 80.0 kgs. 5: 83.25 6: 82.7 10: 82.35 11: 81.9 Ha! I misread the scale yesterday because I was so sure that I gained. In fact, I lost and today, with yesterday's extra-effort. I met my goal! But I'm setting another one because I want to keep going this month. I would love to get down to 80, this month, so I'm going for another 1.9 kgs. |

As I suspected, yesterday's large loss was due in part to weighing myself later than usual. Still, I'm down almost 4 lbs so far this month, so I can't complain.

gardner joy I also found out about hungrier days after I controlled my binging but I still don't know why they happen. I'll binge from time to time, but it's not that usual anymore so i consider it under control. I still overeat, but i wouldn't call those binging episodes. I'll follow your tip and have extra snacks for my hungry days, because I know it wouldn't work for me to feel hungry and eat nothing extra. I migh consider eating at maintenance mode or close to that when those days come by. Oh, and congrats on your weight loss! :carrot:
