  • hey all! my power is out so I am writing on my phone so I will keep it brief. I forgot to weigh today cause of the power and the weather outside and whatnot. I'm expecting a bump up since we ordered pizza last night. since I'm on atkins I just ate the cheese and toppings and left the crust on my slices lol

    lynn- my salted caramel after stares at me too, that one just tastes odd lol I like the white chocolate and the Belgian cookie and the brown sugar cinnamon in coffee. the berry ones are yummy in soda or plain fizzy water

    I forgot who mentioned it is harder once you have a bite then none at all, I agree 100% I find myself smelling things instead too lol
  • So I am ending the week at 176. Hopefully, I can drop a little more by tomorrow morning. Naturally, I want to start out tomorrow's cheat day as low as possible since I'll be holding water weight on Sunday.

    NightAngel, spikes happen! It's just water and it will come back off, no worries! And no, I don't jump rope anymore. Oh how I loved it when I was a little girl! I do believe I jumped rope every single day! But I have rheumatoid arthritis now, so I limit my exercise to walking which is easy on the joints.

    183, what a delightful tradition! It's like hanging stockings up for Christmas. I'm sure the two are related. I was also very saddened to hear that Nelson Mandela had died. What an amazing man. I do hope people will keep his spirit alive. Good luck on your exam today!

    Darius, congrats on being 2 lbs down! I know you have a lot to face right now, but I do hope you keep up with your weight loss plan because you can never go wrong when you take care of yourself!

    Minneey, great job staying on plan! I don't know how you managed just one spoonful of cake but good for you!

    woohoo, I'm done with exams I can't actually say it went well, but I am definitely feeling relieved it's over with. Fingers crossed I passed I will find out at the end of January.
    I'll be making Christmas cookies with a friend this afternoon, and right now I'm very determined not to constantly be tasting. I'll take a pack of gum, which should keep me occupied. When done, I'll place them in gift bags instead of a cookie jar, so I don't feel tempted at home. Sounds like a plan? Yep. Let's hope I stick to it
    Anyways, today is my weekly ticker changing day, and I am glad I get to! 2lb down since last Saturday. woohoo!

    NightAngel26 nah, I don't really travel a lot, unfortunately no money no time. I did a gap year of community service in South Africa though, that's why I love that country so much. I am German And my exam was a dream come true nah, I'm joking I'm just glad I'm done until after Christmas!
    Don't worry about the 2lbs, they'll be gone as quickly as they came...

    Jacqui_D Someone posted on Facebook today where the 'filling the shoes' tradition comes from - back in the day, Saint Nick would slip poor virgins pieces of gold so they wouldn't have to resort to prostitution. I could never have a spoon of anything (sad but true) lol...ty though I bet it will get better I felt the burn today....cleaning, cleaning...not my own house though...that's this weekend and boy it needs it! Food is not the only thing I have too much of!

    lyn77: it probably will be water weight, alcohol seems to burn off ok....I think... the microwave popcorn, yes I like that stuff...was a little turned off by a report of carcinogens in the wax layer in the bag though...I used to eat that all the time...yes..I'm losing but it's the beginning of trying...I'll really need the support when I hit a wall, because that's when I quit every time... I am impatient...I expect RESULTS!! anywho... gluten free huh? recommend anything tasty? it all seems so.... blah

  • Hi everyone, sad as it is DH being on the soft food diet, not being able to go out to eat has really made a difference. I'm a little gun shy about being able to be at my goal at the end of the month, I made it for one day last month and couldn't hold it. So, I'm alternating between being thrilled and scared out of my wits it isn't for real...haven't really had a challenge yet, looks like no holiday party at work, no one bringing in treats this year, well I'm not there anyway so don't know that for sure. Haven't started the holiday baking yet. So anyway, thanks again for all the encouragement and positive vibes, you guys are great!
