Well, we are feeling much better around here, although hubby has a horrible hacking cough. Today is my last day of work until the 27th. Thank goodness. Although I didn't get the flu...taking care of everyone and disinfecting the house was enough to take the wind from my sails.
Jacqui - Thank you for the Get Well wishes. :thanks: Your numbers are looking so good, keep up the good work!
Darius - :hohoho:"Here comes Santa Claus...right down Santa Claus lane"...that sounds like a lot of fun, except for the sweating. Bet that really puts you into the holiday spirit. Have fun!
kelijpa - stunned, and I am sure you are looking stunning! Congrats!
minneey and pixikat - You sound so motivated! Way to go with the exercise plan! :ebike:
183 - Watch out for the Christmas sweets! I know my mother-in-law has a dozen different things ready for Christmas eve and day...thinking about having my mouth wired shut! Haha! Enjoy the time with your family!
lynn77 and Sum38 - Hang in there! Sum - I wouldn't be surprised at the untimely death of your scale.:club:
Samm and Watchout - Way to go on the big drops!
Okay - to all those I missed...hope you have a fabulous Friday/Friday night!

I had an unfortunate encounter with mall food on Wednesday. I didn't weigh yesterday. Maybe I should have waited one more day. Oh well. It will come off eventually.

I am holding my low of 173.5! Yay! :D However, I will show a gain tomorrow because I am substituting tomorrow's cheat day for today because I am having a get-together with friends tonight. Also, moving cheat day will give me an extra day before my next cheat day, which will be on Christmas Day. :hohoho:

Darius, congrats on another drop, and how wonderful of you to play Santa for special ed children! You have a good heart!

Kelijpa, I'm glad you took a cheat day and enjoyed your Christmas party! :tree: And you lost .2! Only .2 to go! :woohoo:

Minneey, I hope you have so much fun at the wedding!!! And good job going for a mega workout! :exercise:

Pixikat, both you and Minneey will be doing more than me, lol! Good for you! I'm just sticking to my walking. :running:

183, congrats on the 2.1-lb drop! Woohoo! :carrot: I hope you get your run in!

Turtle, I'm so happy for you! You really do drop at the end of each month! Way to stick with it! :trampo:

Boatingmommy, oh, I'm so glad that your family is doing better! I know it really is a big job to be the caretaker and make sure the house is disinfected, etc. You're a good mommy!

Sum, I feel for you! That would be terribly frustrating! I know there are good changes going on in your body from your working out. It just isn't showing on the scale. Stick with it! It has to show up sooner or later! :crossed:

Joy, it happens, and it will come off! Drink water!

Lyn, mapping out the walk to Starbucks was smart! :coffee2: You have a great plan! Good for you! Have a wonderful time!

JazzyPeggy, you're so close! Keep going! :cb:

pnkrckpixikat 12-20-2013 12:48 PM

183 sometimes it is sooo much easier to stay abstinent than to try to indulge in moderation, good choice!

kelijpa awesome! if it shows up tomorrow oh well, it is only water weight and will come back off

turtle slowly but surely wins the race right? keep up the good work!

boating I'm glad you didnt get sick! but it is very true that taking care of everyone can be exhausting.

sum Just keep it up, it has to show eventually! are you taking measurements or anything else?

Gardener oh mall food! so sodium loaded :dizzy: It'll flush off in no time tho, drink lots of water, tea, and lemon water

lyn sounds like a great plan! I have a starbucks that is a 3.5mi round trip and I would allow myself a venti skinny whatever if I walked. now I am on atkins and I havent looked up their stats to figure out what I can have

jazzy you are doing AMAZING! you are so close! keep it up!

jacqui but u are doing the walking more regularly than I so it more than balances out!

So I woke up early to go to the gym before work since the gym closes for the holidays at the same time I leave work. I did 25 minutes on the bike machine and 15 minutes on the elliptical. I am still sore from my strength training earlier in the week so I skipped it today, I was too tired to push through the aches. Maybe I will do some squats and counter pushups later to get it in. I came into work to find boxes of kolaches and pasteries!:dz: But so far I have stayed strong. I had a few pepperoni and cheese slices from a cracker tray and ignored the baked goodness lol

yesterday's weigh-in: 77,1kg (170lbs)
yesterday's calories: 1500
yesterday's exercise: 63min run (10k)
today's weigh-in: 77,1kg (170lbs)
change: no change

good morning :)

I ended up going for a run yesterday - and it was my fastest ever! (I track the time). I was super excited! Also, I felt badass because I even left the house, considering the weather wasn't that great.
Today will be my last visit at the Christmas fair, so one last time of :xcheer:. A little sad it's over, but I'm sure I had enough Glühwein this season.
Also today is my ticker changing day, and I gained 2lbs this week. Well, I know where it's coming from - Christmas time is too delicious.

darius I am German and I live in Germany :) We celebrate Christmas on the 24th because that's when Jesus was born. We don't actually have Santa Claus over here -- well, in the Coca Cola ads but that's about it. The Christkind (=baby Jesus) brings our gifts!!
(We do have Saint Nick's Day on the 6th though - and Nikolaus does come with Knecht Ruprecht!)

kelijpa yay for good choices!

boatingmommy there really is a ridiculous amount of chocolate and cookies at my parents' house. It's not even that my mom buys it, it is just a very common thing to gift. But at least it's the good stuff :) I plan on having some on Christmas day.

Lyn77 I went to the stores in the summer to check out the activity trackers, but we don't have them in Germany. The guys at the store didn't even know what I was talking about and after internet research referred me to Amazon ;)
What kept me from buying it so far is that I'm not sure how accurately it measures calories burnt, because if I measure I'd be eating them back and I worry they over estimate.
Also, my professor said we shouldn't worry about the NSA having our movement data if we so freely hand it out to our activity trackers ;)

Jacqui_D hope you have a good time with your friends, and yay for staying at the low!

pnkrckpixikat amazing job getting up early to go to the gym! Exercise hero of the day!! ;)

Have a great day everyone! :)
