I've been swamped! I did not manage to get my exercise in yesterday and feel completely bummed.... 1) for not sticking to my challenge 2) feeling like crud 12/21....Bob's 20 min strength, C25K w6d1 12/22....had great expectations but my body was very sore....did 1miles, walk and job 5 minutes of that. 12/23....nada |

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE Last night I decided to make this my exercise day, getting in all I could. I planned on going for two walks and trying for at least 2 1/2 miles on each :cool: Got up this morning just after sunrise. Bright, bluebird clear, not a single cloud in the sky, only thing up there were three diff jets with their contrails behind them. Mild breeze, maybe 12 MPH. Not bad. Hoed some weeds, and wind got a bit stronger. Went inside to drink another cup of coffee and look at the weather forecast. Weather warning, sustained winds of 35 mph, gusts of 55, and occasional gusts of 65. Looked to the northeast and saw a rising cloud of dust and sand. Clear to the north west and south west. Wind from the northeast. It is very dusty just to my right and clear as a bell to the left. Hope I keep missing the worst of it. The different paths the winds take through the different mountains and hills here determine who/where gets it the worst/least. I do not want to go for a walk in this wind, feels just too uncomfortable to me. I guess my exercise today will consist of doing a spring cleaning in the house, and maybe a bit more of clearing emerging weeds and grass with the hoe. I do not like this, as with no structure it gives too much time to think about what to eat and trying to stay out of it. I bought a rib-eye steak last night and another apple pie. Wanted to celebrate a bit but not overeat today. I also bought a jar of deli blue cheese dressing, I love that stuff. Thought it might go great on those mixed veggies I try to eat plenty of which do a great job of bulk and slowing digestion which seems to have had the most effect on eating less calories and losing. I got into it last night for just a "taste" which turned out to be spoons full of it. I don't know how many calories I took in of it, but it was plenty. But I did share it with my girls, giving each of them a nice helping of it, which they loved :D So that and an orange, couple of clementines, half a pomegranate and an egg made up my supper, I felt full with them. I think overall I was still inside or close to my calorie allowance anyway being as my first two meals together were less than 500 calories. Anyway, once again, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE B F R |
