I need to make a new goal for myself. I have been walking and jogging 8 to 15 miles per day since June 4th. I have hit a wall this week and motivation just dropped. I realized I needed to switch things up. Things have also gotten busier here. I am a single, homeschooling mom that also cares for my elderly parents (one just having had a stroke the end of June). I am changing my goal to at least 5 miles per day, Monday through Saturday.

Changed the goal for aspen13 -- good for you for making a change that fits your life better. Have you considered adding some stretching / yoga into your routine? I find that helpful when I've overdone it on cardio. It's also something you can do in the house while still being present for others, especially if you don't care if they see you doing it.

Thank you, gardenerjoy! I usually stretch after my first big walk/jog of the day. I also added in weight training. We, my son and I, do a lot of swimming also. My mom has actually started doing a couple minutes of walking inside the house each day. She has spent the past few years in bed, except for meals and a couple hours of tv each evening. I have spent so much time trying to encourage her to get up and do things. She is so very capable still. I backed off and hoped her seeing my hard work would help motivate her.
