GettinFit: trust me I understand what you mean!! I feel like I do great staying OP for a few days then I eat something I shouldn't and then I feel bad! Just try to take it each meal at the time. That what I do and I try not to beat myself up too much! I know you will get there!! Good luck!
I had an ok weekend so far. Went to a family reunion and honestly did better than expected considering all the food that was there! Someone brought garden fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and baked chicken so I was GOOD! Then I tried a little desert. And I just noticed my BMI is under 30!!! Yay!! No longer "obese" category!! Yay for only OVERWEIGHT!!! :carrot: |
Yeah junebug!
Holy absolutely exhausted batman! I woke up at 10:30 but I've been tired the whole day---weird. OP and I did 35 minutes of zumba--but man I'm just too pooped to pop. |
Urgh, didn't have a great weekend. Few too many off plan "treats". And then a very carby day today which never bodes well for weight loss. But it was such a hectic day at work so it was a choice between eating a date scone or eating nothing at all. And Iam partial to date scones! I also have hives and I can't figure out why. So I'm on antihistamines and I'm so flippin' itchy!!!!! So generally just feeling blah (and itchy).
Kaitie hope you feel better tomorrow Junebug the one time I will say woohoo for overweight LOL! Gettinfit that's what we're here for.. support! So let the negativity out! Just take it one day at a time, don't beat yourself up about it. Hoopty how's the scale looking? 2 days OP is awesome!!! Supercecelia I'd like to get into yoga but I find it very slow. Do you find it relaxes you? |
lilmisschattabox - The scale is looking good so far. I was at 139.6 lbs this morning! TOM should be here in a few days, so I'm not getting too excited or worried about any numbers right now. I feel ya with the itching. I have eczema and during the summer I'm so itchy all the time. Don't worry about not being OP this weekend. Tomorrow is a new day

Good evening girls,
I was OP for the day and did not exercise. I'm so tired and I think PMS-emotions got the best of me today. Work sucked and I was so mad and annoyed that I even almost cried. Took my last BCP for this month, so TOM should be here in a few. I hopped on the scale this morning and was surprised to see 139.6 lbs. But like I already said in my last post - I'm not gonna let myself get excited yet. I had 2 small pork chops and one small piece of turkey breast for dinner today, plus a handful of cashews, so my body might retain some water from all the sodium. I know this is bad but I always freak out over eating too much salt. I gotta get up in 6 hours already so I'm hoping to get some good sleep tonight. DH and I went grocery shopping and I made sure to buy pumpernickel bread so that I can make a turkey breast sandwich and eat it for lunch at work. Their healthy food options are alright - they have little bags of sliced apples, 3 different types of salads (mixed greens with either 1. eggs, sliced ham and cheese OR 2. couscous OR 3. tomato mozzarella) and a yogurt parfait (plain yogurt with granola and berries). So on top of having a salad and apple slices I'm gonna have my turkey breast sandwich because I know I'm gonna be really, really hungry. Hope everybody is doing well! |
Good evening ladies,
Thanks for all the encouraging posts. Littlemiss - I'm going to take it one day at a time. I had a good day yesterday and today. Did my workouts and ate really good. Now if I can just get through tomorrow. Junebug - congrats on no longer being obese. I can't wait to get there :) Have a great evening everyone. |
I just haven't been able to stick to plan feeling so yucky and all. Once I get it under control I know I'll be back to it again. But I won't make my July goal... Just gotta keep going!
|
Just got back from a few days away on a family road trip. It was exhausting but fun, we packed so much into those four days! Weigh in will be tomorrow and today I get back on plan after outing out every day for four days!

Good morning ladies,
Littlemiss - It's okay that you won't make your July goal but like you said, just keep on going. That's what I'm doing too. I have an awful July but August is going to be a better month for me too. Let's challenge ourselves to stay OP every day. WE CAN DO IT!!! JM - Glad you had a fun vacation. Today is my 3rd day being back OP and I'm feeling so much better. I'm just taking it one day at a time. I hope you all have a great day. |
OP for the day. I was super energetic and hyper all day but once I got back from work and ate lunch tiredness settled in and I felt really sluggish and lazy. Just had a late dinner (chicken breast strips, sweet potato, mashed cauliflower [ SuperCecilia - I finally made it and it was amazing! :) ] and a kiwi) and one small chocolate bar (my absolute favorite, I enjoyed every bite!) so weight will definitely be up in the morning.
Gotta get up at 4:20am. I'm hoping to get at least a few hours of sleep tonight. Weight this morning: 140.4 lbs. I hope I won't be too exhausted after work tomorrow, I really wanna lift some weights. Happy Wednesday everyone! |
Hi friends - I was away for a couple days and didn't post. I went to see a friend in Baltimore - really great to get out of town, even for two days, and have a change in scenery and spend time with a wonderful person. I did have a dessert when we went out for lunch, and some sangria the next day, but was mostly OP and did lots and lots of walking (I took the train, so no car). Also I planned out snacks and brought food for the train ride so I didn't get ravenous. OP so far today and did lots of cooking of good food from the garden - quinoa beet salad, gazpacho, steamed greens, stewed summer squash with tomatoes...yum! I'm really glad July is almost over - it has been a tough month and I am really just ready to turn that calendar page.
Julia - welcome home! Hoopty - glad you like the mashed cauliflower! It is definitely a go-to food for me. Since I don't really try to limit fat, I add cream cheese and butter and it's sooo good. Glad you enjoyed your chocolate too - if you're going to splurge, savor it! And the food you listed sounds tasty! GettinFit - hugs! I can only speak for myself, but don't worry about hiding your negativity from us or thinking you can only post if you have been on plan. We are here to support you wherever you are at. Good to hear you are feeling good and taking it one day at a time...that is all any of us can do, not just with our health goals, but with everything in life. Lilmiss - you're right. Keep on moving forward! In terms of yoga, I've had lots of different experiences. Restorative classes which are not intended to be a workout, but to create relaxation in body and mind - which I LOVE, because I am basically a pretty tightly-wound, busy person so I benefit from that kind of thing. And then on the other hand, I've hand yoga classes where sweat is dripping off me onto the mat and my muscles are shaking and it's really a challenge both for cardio and strength. And, of course, everything in between. I really enjoy it, but, like I said - for $11 a class, I can't make it my regular "go-to" for working out several times a week. Kaitie - zumba is so fun! Good for you! June - congrats on being out of the "obese" BMI! That is so awesome. I am only a few pounds away from that milestone - you are an inspiration! |
Oh boy. SO! My fertility doctor sent me to a different doctor to talk about me being borderline pre-diabetic. OY! Now I have to test my blood sugar 4 times a day for the next two weeks and then go back to see him. I also have to meet with a dietician, which I'm doing tomorrow. I can handle all of this but I can't handle the doctor repeatedly telling me that I needed to lose weight. Even after I piped up and said 'I'm working on it, I've lost 40 pounds already' He said, 'Good, lose weight.' STUPID JERK! Nothing makes me not want to do something like someone pestering me about it. He made me feel like my huge accomplishment was in reality nothing. I've felt fat the rest of the day.
OP and did 92 minutes of zumba! and 24 minutes of wfp. Yes, I'm tired. I hope the stupid scale moves tomorrow. |
After only two day on my IP journey I am sagging. Haven't cheated but I'm lying if I said I didn't want to rip the perogie off my spouses plate to eat it myself. My coach says day 3&4 are the hardest before the routine kicks in, so it should be an interesting week. Looking at everyone's success helps me focus. I keep thinking "look at all the people who are succeeding, don't you want to be one of them?"
Just gotta keep on truckin :) |
Thanks for the welcome back ladies!
Yesterday: 1. Take a Multivitamin daily - Yes 2. Drink 12.5 cups of water a day - Yes 3. Check in here every day - Yes 4. Stick with food plan (no specific diet just make healthier choices, eat smaller portions) - Did well 5. Do not obsess over weight fluctuations - Happy Weigh in today: down 2.4 pounds for a total loss of 19.6 pounds. |
Was OP yesterday, and went for a three and a half mile run - and then got home and after my shower, had some chocolate ice cream and tortilla chips. I've been doing well with eating during the day and then I get derailed at night. I need to come up with a strategy to deal with this - maybe brush my teeth after dinner and then not eat again?
I got on the scale today and it said 198. My "break-up" weight gain - I thought I had been doing okay, but I know my carbs have been higher than they have been. Now, granted it might not be "real" weight gain (salt from the tortilla chips) but I am definitely heavier now than I was at the beginning on of July. I am going to nip this in the bud and stay in onederland. On plan so far today and no derailing myself with night eating! shrinkme - pierogies are so tempting! Julia - congrats on your loss! kaitie - sorry about your doctor's visit. It is awful when docs are obnoxious like that. I have slight pre-diabetes as well. Don't worry, you can beat this! |
