Wow, I can't believe I never thought of it that way haha! Actually, when I need to spend hours a night fixing and straightening the items on the shelves, I do kind of incorporate that, moving quickly between shelf heights, 'high and low.' Extra calories burned :p

I'm posting this before I do it, so I might have to edit it later on:
30 mins running in place with high knees intervals, 15 mins HIIT, 10 mins arm toning

Everyone is doing so great with their workouts! By the way I am updating my workouts in my post located in my siggy.

I had an eye opening experience in my strength-training class last night. In that class we do different exercises every time. It's a mixture of using handweights, resistance bands, a little core work (like with Pilates) and exercise balls.

Last night we did some work on the exercise ball. There's this one move where you roll on top of the ball and place the place ball near your knees like you are about to do a push up. Instead you pull the ball up to where your shoes are on top of the ball and it looks like you are going to stand up. Then you push it back and repeat. It takes TONS of upper body, core and leg strength.

I've been taking the class since April and last night was the first night I was able to complete not only one, but the entire reps without any struggle! I was so proud of myself!

I think it's amazing how the body adapts when you exercise regularly. :)

Hi Ladies,

I'm new and still learning the forum and all of the things it has to offer and this looks like a nice check in. Is it okay to join in? So far for 2012 I have about 190 workouts on the books and have been trying to get down to 150lbs. So far on average for the year I've been getting in 16 to 17 workouts a month with 21 workouts on a good month. However, September and October I did slack and only got in about 18 workouts combined for the two months. So far I'm at 158lbs, not to bad considering I've been slacking the past two months. For November I've done the fallowing workouts:

Margaret Richard Fitness Becomes You Vol. 2
Jane Fonda's New Workout (Advanced Workout Lower Body Only)
Denise Austin Power Zone Ultimate Metabolism Boosting Workout

Later this month I'm going to restart ballet and might do some bellydancing.

Here's my mid-month check in:

1. Powerwalk 100 miles with Walk Away The Pounds:
On track...47/100 miles so far.

2. Lift 3 - 4 days per week:
Doing very well at 4 days per week. Feeling and seeing visible results.

3. Do Pilates 2 - 3 days per week for 20 - 30 minutes:
Been doing 2 days of Pilates per week for 15 - 30 mins. at a time. Going to try and get in an extra day, even for a 10 minute cool down stretch.

I felt jittery and shaky when I attempted to workout today and both cardio and strength so I just left the gym and decided to take it as a rest day ;) tomorrow back on the horse! (elliptical) :P Have a great day ladies!
