  • Nicely done Oxia!!!!

to all the new faces and not-so-new ones too! So great to have the thread active with motivation!!!!
  • Just had to share: I weighed in tonight after not weighing for a while, and I had a whoosh-- 4lbs down. Hopefully it will stay that way. :-)

good luck to everyone: YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
  • Sorry for not getting here the past few days! I had a workshop this week and it's been long days + long commutes, and trying to exercise and eat healthy on top of that was about all I could manage!

HealtherEljohari, Caramel33, nevaeh1984 and creolebarbie, you've been added to the list below! Good luck with your goals this month!

Oxia: AWESOME!!! A 4 lb whoosh, especially at your weight, is amazing! I hope you're totally thrilled.

humanmommy: I think you're right - if you're moving, you're doing a great job! Exercise can seem to hinder weight loss in the short term sometimes (when muscles retain water, etc.), but it is SO worth it for the health benefits, strength and endurance gains, etc.

Teresa2010: I have the same large chest issues, and when I run I just wear a regular supportive bra with a sports bra layered over it. That totally seems to solve the bouncing issues I experienced previously. Now if I can just figure out how to keep my @ss from jiggling like crazy...

I finally saw a whoosh on the scale tonight... and can now officially say I've lost more than 100 lbs!!! I'm thrilled, and now I can't wait to shed this obese label too. Hopefully soon!

OK, I did my jumping jacks, and I'm going to tag HeatherEljohari and nevaeh1984 to do 2 sets of 10 glute bridges (http://www.ehow.com/video_2360797_we...te-bridge.html). You can hold or not on the last one in each set, your choice.

  • teresa2010.... lol... i completely understand.. they may not be huge but even D cups break bras when trying to run... i was wearing a bra and a sports bra.. and in the few weeks ive been trying to run... ive broken 2 bras... i just bought a sports bra that is probably a size smaller than i should wear and is made for compression and that seemed to help a bit.. and make sure its the one with the hook closure like a bra.. because anything that will stretch over your head will stretch and not hold the girls down.
  • chickadee!!! congratulations!!! this is just awesome. woo hoo!!!

Thanks humanmommy...lol...i think i need to go shopping for the bras and a good pair of running shoes.

  • Well, i was 126.9 lb on the scales this morning, which is my 3lb for the month!!! But that's definitely not official because i reckon i was a bit dehydrated, so i'll be happy if i can see that number for real by the end of the month.

Well done to everyone who's going so well. Keep at it chicks!
  • any suggestions... on how to deal with your Oma(german for grandmother) is visiting and is baking and cooking like crazy how to keep your willpower.. she is only here once a year at most and its hard to say no to the yummy treats... im continueing my exercise...but my eating is not exactly what it should be. Im trying to just do smaller portions of the yummy treats but i dont think that is working to well...by what the scale is tellin me..
  • Tabbycat here.

    Oct 1: 130
    Oct 8: 129

Slow, but in the right direction.
  • oh that is hard! hmmm...maybe just plan on maintaining while she is here. Eat some of the treats and freeze the others for special occassions? or ask here is she can experiment and make healthier ones with subsitutions. Now, that may now work.

    Hugs and good luck!
