Greetings everybody, and welcome to the new joiners!

With two young kids (one a 3-year-old who doesn't nap), I am still finding it difficult to find time to run. (excuses, excuses, excuses... I know). So when do you guys make time to exercise? First thing in the morning? After work? I am always curious to see how other busy people schedule in their workouts.

I promised Hubby a treat if he hit his goal by Thanksgiving. If I hit goal in time, he's going to shave his head for me (I love bald men, and he has a full head of hair lol). So now I have double incentive to stick to this challenge!

BananaNutMuffin - I get up and jog before my husband leaves for work. Tomorow morning I have a 6 mile run scheduled which will take me a little over 1.5 hours, so I have to get up really early. Sure, I would love to sleep in, but it is the only practical time for me to exercise. I keep thinking that if I were to increase my speed, I would get a little more time to sleep in.

Jolina - Congratulations on the loss!

15 weeks until Thanksgiving!!

I have a countdown app on my phone, so now every time I turn it on I see how many weeks I have left until Turkey Day! lol

I've decided I just need to bite the bullet and do c25k. Having an organized plan really helps me stay on track.

I enjoy reading your posts. I just took a look, Thanksgiving is 14 weeks from tomorrow if I counted right. Gives us plenty of time and still lots of time to complete C25K even if you haven't started yet!

I hadd surgery yesterday, so am going to be grounded for a few weeks, but that's ok, using the time to get everything in order so I can start running again. I need to carve out some me time.

While I was in pre-op, I downloaded a C25K app onto my phone that let's me use my own music. Also downloaded a calorie tracker and am already using that.

There used to be a girl on this site, Josephine who inspired me with her exercise habits. I am going to follow her lead and go for 1300 calories and 10 hours a week of exercise. 4 hours or so being a nice hike on the weekends until snow flies.

I am also signing up today for the Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot in Saratoga! Can't wait to talk to all of you on Black Friday and compare our impressions of our races.

It was way too soon, but I did W1D1 today. I will see how I feel tomorrow. I do know that my 45 yr old knees can only run every other day when I am feeling great, so tomorrow will be an easy day, but I feel great that I did something!

I've lost another pound since last time I posted.
I am doing a lot of work outside in the hot sun for the past week.

Thanksgiving is getting closer!

13 weeks til Thanksgiving!

You know, I think I just need to sign up for a Turkey Trot and commit. That way, I'll be less likely to back out.

Last week I lost another pound. I am now closer to my goal.
And Thanksgiving is also getting closer.
I dread those big meals during the Holiday Season.
I'll have to be really diligent in my calorie counts this fall.
I track my calories on LoseIt.com. It really helps me the most.

I hope all of you reach your goals this fall!
