Yay!! 213.4! That's down 2.6 from last week!

amandie 06-08-2011 01:20 PM

Whoo-hoo, Sarah!!! :carrot:

rmc9142 06-08-2011 03:40 PM

That's excellent!! Congrats! :cheer:

PacSunMama 06-08-2011 04:03 PM

Thanks!! To celebrate I decided to put my favorite stretchy maternity jeans away, now that my regular pants button and zip. I still have a muffin top but it's not terrible if I wear my c-section binder. What's funny is that these were my "fat" pants and they fit me just fine when I was at 235 before I got pregnant. Now 22 pounds lighter and they're so snug, but at least they "fit" now!!

amandie 06-09-2011 12:54 PM

Nice! That's a NSV for you, Sarah with your stretchy maternity pants and regular pants. I kind of have the same problem with one pair of jeans, I think it's because of my lower stomach- I didn't have the slight overhang when I was the same weight back in college. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Thank you! To resist temptation... I actually packed up and got rid of every stitch of maternity clothing in my house! I'm selling them as a lot to a friend of mine, she's getting a great deal, and I'm keeping momentum so I never have to wear stretchy pants again, at least not in the size I just got rid of! :D

I'm thinking of changing my weigh-in day to Tuesday... or maybe even twice weekly. I get to about 4 days OP and want so badly to see my progress "officially." Plus my knitting night is on Tuesday nights and while I eat healthy (we meet at various local restaurants) it's still usually full of more sodium than I'd like the night before my WI.

doubtingJulia 06-12-2011 06:25 AM

Down 2 pounds from two weeks ago (I didn't weigh myself last week)

K3LL3Y 06-12-2011 07:04 AM

Good Morning Everyone!
Happy to say that I'm down 3.5lbs this week.
I re-evaluated my calorie balance and am happy to say I saw a good bump this week when I've been seeing only 1-2lbs for a while now.

I look forward to everyone else's check in :)

rmc9142 06-12-2011 09:49 AM

Morning everyone; hope everyone's enjoying this weekend!

Congrats to Julia & K3ll3y :cheer:! I hope everyone is chugging along. (It's a long time until Labor Day!)

This week is absolute proof that there is no ryhyme or reason to weight loss. I lost a whooping 4.2 lbs this week, doing pretty much what I've been doing all along - same calories, same water, same workout, no TOM factor. I'm not complaining!! Just wish I could crack the code. :dizzy:

I do have one theory - now that I don't feel so big and overwhelmed and just plain down, I'm getting out and about more. So, there's extra activity built into my day that wasn't there before. Yesterday, DH and I walked to the lake; he fished and I sat on my butt and read. Last summer, I would have sat in the house while he went. It was just a mile walk, so that wasn't responsible for 4 lbs, but I think it's a general lifestyle change.

.4 lb more and I'll hit 20 lbs lost; I am a happy camper. Thank you all so much for the motivation and for listening to my ranting. Hope you all have a great week!

amandie 06-12-2011 01:18 PM

Way to go, Julia, K3ll3y and RMC!!! That's wonderful!!!

Still OP for most of the weekend aside from the captain morgan and diet coke/zero drinks last night at my pool party, lol. I'm gonna be real busy for the next 2 weeks since I've gotta pack the whole house- am moving to southern Illinois at the end of this month, gahhh!!!! lol. Hope all had a good weekend so far! :)

urockmom 06-13-2011 10:26 AM

Great news Julia, K3ll3y, and RMC!!! Fantastic job!!! :carrot:
RMC~We know you'll get that .4 off and hit the big 20!
K3ll3y~I am going to really watch those calories this week and see if I can take off a big chunk like you did.
Sarah~Fantastic job this week. I think you are right to steer clear of the scale after a big salt day. That is what happened to me this morning after my daughter's graduation party last night.
Julia~Two pounds is great!

I really need to watch the calories this week as I my mini-goal was to get down another 1.5 pounds by this Friday. We are having good friends fly in for the weekend and I am really trying to fit into my shorts by then!!!;) So, even though today is crazy with graduation tonight, I am going to get in my exercise regardless.

Keep truckin' ladies!!!

Kristen81985 06-13-2011 11:11 AM

Nice job everyone!!! I'm down 1.6 pounds from last week! Just what I was going for!! Now if I could just keep this up! Its getting tough...

PacSunMama 06-15-2011 11:22 AM

So I'm frustrated because I was OP this week, under my total cals for the week still, but the scale went back up a little in the last day or two from Sunday's weight. So I'm going to stick with Sunday's weight, which is fine because I wanted to change my weigh-in day anyway. So that's 211.4, down 2 pounds from last Wednesday!!

Not sure why it went up... but hopefully it's a fluke. Usually I nurse and pump before WI, but I didn't do that today- but there's no way that's 2 pounds worth of weight!

wife2abadge 06-15-2011 11:34 AM

I hope no one minds that I just joined. I added myself to the end of the spreadsheet -- hopefully it took!

PacSunMama 06-15-2011 03:57 PM

Hi Susan and welcome!!

rmc9142 06-15-2011 04:50 PM

Welcome Susan!! You will find a lot of inspiration here.

PacSun, don't sweat a little fluctuation, especially while you're nursing. Your hormones are still running wild and free and that can certainly have an effect!

I'm still hovering around that 195.5 mark, but it's TOM, so I'm not too worried. Just looking forward to weighing in, in a couple of days.

Hope everyone is having a good week! Keep on working it!

amandie 06-16-2011 02:59 AM

Whoo-hoo, finally got out of the 190s this am- 189.4! :carrot:

Way to go, Kristen!

Sarah- I wouldn't worry about it. I am thinking of changing my WI day because yesterday I was 192.5 and this am I was 189.4 so I'm taking it, lol! I'm still figuring out the trend/pattern so I can choose an official WI day.

:welcome: Susan!!!

PacSunMama 06-16-2011 03:26 AM

Thanks you guys! I do feel better, and I'm totally see the "bigger" perspective. I expect losing this next 60ish pounds to take about a year, maybe even a little more for the last bits. So as long as it evens out and I'm still following my program, I know it will all pay off and work out.

I still just get irky when I see higher numbers than 2 days before. It's hard not to convince myself that "I should have just had that darn piece of cake anyway." Luckily I'm the most stubborn person I know... and I'm doing this thing! :)

rmc9142 06-16-2011 10:39 AM

:cheer: Way to go, amandie! :cheer:

caramelkitty 06-16-2011 10:55 AM

Count me in!

CW: 193
GW: 170

Lets Go! we can do it!!!

rmc9142 06-19-2011 10:24 AM

Welcome, caramelkitty.

Finally dipped below 195.5 to 193.4 - not much of a dip, but I'll take it! I'm realizing that for me, the eating healthy part of this isn't as challenging as the working out part. I've discovered that naturally, I'm a slug! :o So, I'm really trying to focus on upping my activity.

Hope everyone had a great week! It's already been 3 weeks since Memorial Day - I have a feeling that the summer is going to fly by and it will be Labor Day before we know it, so we all need to stay focused!

josey 06-19-2011 11:17 AM

Lost 2 pounds again finally. I hope I am back with steadier losses now.

konfyoozed 06-20-2011 01:36 PM

down to 264.1 today, 14.1 more pounds til labor day goal!

amandie 06-21-2011 12:38 PM

Congrats to Josey, RMC and Mandy!!

:welcome: caramelkitty!!!

Checking in today with loss of 1.4lbs- 188.0 today! :carrot:

Hope all are doing well!!

alliesarang 06-21-2011 08:09 PM

I'm late but I'm in!! I'll do my first weigh in 6/26!

rmc9142 06-22-2011 09:32 AM

Welcome alliesarang! Looks like you're already having amazing success! :bravo:

And kudos to amandie, Mandy, and Josey! You ladies will be luscious by Labor Day for sure!

PacSunMama 06-24-2011 04:38 AM

Just checking in! It's been a CRAZY week for me and we don't get a breather till Sunday... when we need to catch up with housework because next week is JUST as busy! Staying OP so far though, and doing alright. I'm nervous because we are going to a 2-day marriage seminar and meals will be provided. No trusty protein shakes will be served, I'm pretty sure, so I have to manage myself in the "real world." I can do this!

rmc9142 06-24-2011 07:16 AM

YES you can!!

Staying OP when I'm out of my routine is a challenge for me too. My go-to: plain grilled chicken and salad, both of which are usually given as choices. It may be boring, but I figure it's pretty safe. I still can't control things like sodium contact and I have to estimate the weight, but it usually works.

Good luck and congrats on staying OP during such a busy time! :cheer:

GettinFit 06-25-2011 09:04 AM

It's been a while since I've checked in. You all are doing an awesome job! By labor day, you all are going to be knock outs!! I'm still plugging along and still hoping to reach onederland by Labor day. I've had to re adjust my eating plan and now I'm eating less sugar & junk food, so there is hope of reaching my goal for Labor day.

I hope everyone has a great OP weekend;)

jomatho 06-25-2011 11:43 AM

Oops, I have been forgetting to post on here! I hope you guys don't mind, but for me it would be better visually to just post my weights right in my threads. This looks good right now, but I will be posting a gain tomorrow, eek!

rmc9142 06-26-2011 08:53 AM

Morning everyone! Looks like we're all still working away at it. I'm down 2.8 lbs this week, which puts me 5.6 lbs from my goal of 30 lbs. I know things are going to slow up soon, but I'm just going to keep whittling away at the pounds. Summer bbqs are here and that is a challenge!

Have a great week everyone!

PacSunMama 06-26-2011 01:15 PM

Ok so temptation GOT ME yesterday. They had donuts and pastries for breakfast (we were at an all-day marriage seminar/retreat on post), so I had a grande carmel light frappucino without any carmel sauce, then 2 sprinkly cake donuts. Then I did okay at lunch- took 2 slices of the Subway sandwich and dumped the middle onto just one "set" of bread (twice the protein, half the bread), but then I saw the cookies. And had two thinking they were similar in calories to the ones I make at home, about 75 cals per cookie. Uh no, Subway's cookies are 220 calories EACH!!! And they aren't even abnormally huge or anything, that's just very deceiving!

Then they brought out of a tray of Oreos, and I kept snacking on them... had 6 in total. They brought out the leftover donuts and I did resist having any of those.

So then when we went home I eventually wanted dinner. Already was over my calorie limit and decided that this dinner is my "cheat" meal this week. I snacked on wheat thins, then had half a grilled cheese and about 1/4 Annie's mac and cheese (which wasn't all that good so I stopped eating it.) So in all, it's not that I ate a LOT, it's that I chose to eat mostly higher fat, HIGH carb empty calories and felt hungry all day. Where my daily percentage of protein is usually at about 30%, yesterday it was at 7%... no wonder I was feeling so hungry!!

However, I'm still down to 209.4 today! Broke into the 210's and I'm going to be trying very hard to get out of them quickly! Sorry for the essay- hope everyone is doing well!

SMSDREAMER2007 06-26-2011 02:21 PM

Wow its been 2 weeks since I checked in? What the h-e double hockey sticks? I dont know how time escaped me so...im at 272.8 this am which means im almost out of the 270's YAY!!! knda bittersweet after the 267 I saw on the scale 3 wees ago, which I now am putting down to being severely dehydrated after a night of major drinking.

PacSunMama 07-01-2011 12:53 PM

It's getting quiet around here... how is everyone doing? On track? Going again? At the start of a new month, there are lots of people jumping on the challenge boat, so I'm bumping this!

I am starting July at 206, I lost 10.8 pounds in the month of June!! I will update my WI on here on Sunday, I changed my day from Wednesday a couple weeks ago. Almost to my goal now. I'm going to hit it long before this challenge is over, so I'm going to need to create a new goal!!

GettinFit 07-01-2011 01:35 PM

Hello everyone,

I'm still plugging along. Great to see you all hanging in there too.

PacSunMama - WOW you did an awesome job in June :cheer2: I hope I can do half as good in June.

Great job to all you other losers. I'm down to 215.8 for the month. my total loss for June was only 3.2 pounds. I'm hoping to double that this month.

I promise to check here more often. I hope everyone has a great OP weekend.

rmc9142 07-03-2011 09:50 AM

It's so quiet in here. I hope we can keep this thread going until Labor Day!

I'm down 1.6 lbs this week and have finally made it out of the 190s. :cheer:

I've definitely slowed down the pace I'm losing though; it was bound to happen. Just have to keep as motivated as I was at the beginning when the lbs were dropping fairly quickly.

Have a great week everyone! Only 64 days until Labor Day so get moving!

josey 07-03-2011 10:56 AM

Sorry I haven't been checking in the thread for a while. However, I kept the spreadsheet updated.
I am doing good with my progress for this challenge. This morning I had a nice 3 lbs loss and hit another goal of 50 lbs total lost! Woohooo!
Anyways, I have 11 lbs to go for Labour Day and I think I can do it!

SMSDREAMER2007 07-03-2011 02:11 PM

Life is what life is! I havnt had the chance to keep this thread alive I think we will be able to make it to labor day though! I personally lost 2 lbs last week howd yall do? what were your ups and downs? what part was the hardest?

konfyoozed 07-03-2011 08:59 PM

i weighed in today at 259.3, putting me at 2.6lbs down for the week, 16.7lbs down for the challenge, and 9.3lbs to go to reach my goal of 250 by labor day. i may have to revise my goal to 245 :)
