LOL, SMS- Congrats on your 2.7! That is FANTASTIC! you're more than welcome to come over, hehe! Though I have to admit, I had NO idea how much work was involved in having a pool- the cleaning, sweeping, chemicals, filling it up, testing, etc. Makes it worth it during the summertime though.

SMSDREAMER2007 05-15-2011 05:35 PM

thnks amandie! Lemme bike on over, see you in ohh hmmm 8 mos? LMAOOOO

CurryMama 05-15-2011 06:13 PM

Love this idea! I'm in! I'm going to shoot for 15 pounds.

SMSDREAMER2007 05-16-2011 01:35 AM

:welcome: lost!

CurryMama 05-16-2011 04:03 AM

Thanks!

train 05-16-2011 05:11 AM

Well done on your losses everyone!!!

I lost this week, but my overall goal is "small" because I will be abroad for most of this challenge and so at the very minimum I just want to be able maintain. 2 more wekks until I leave!

Good luck to all this week!

josey 05-16-2011 10:32 AM

I am in! Thanks for suggesting the challenge

GettinFit 05-16-2011 01:12 PM

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I've been doing great. I'm following the Weight Watchers plan and I'm working out regularly. Last week I lost the pounds I'd gained the week before plus an additional 1.8. I'm hoping for another loss this Friday.

Have a great week everyone.

amandie 05-16-2011 02:13 PM

No problem, Josey! :welcome:!!

Welcome, Lost! 15lbs sounds very feasible! :)

Train- You can do it- maintain that weight!

GettinFit- Good job! I need to get back to working out regularly.

melinda34 05-16-2011 02:23 PM

steppin' up to the challenge

ok, I'm "in". I need a goal and this one is it!! Labor Day is in 17 weeks. My goal is to be in ONEderland by Labor Day.
Gitty-up, let's go!:carrot:

amandie 05-16-2011 02:26 PM

:welcome: Melinda! You CAN do it! ;)

SMSDREAMER2007 05-16-2011 03:15 PM

wtg gettingfit!!

welcome melinda!!

CurryMama 05-16-2011 03:52 PM

Thanks amandie! Down to 187 this morning...woo new low weight!

amandie 05-17-2011 12:58 PM

That's wonderful, Lost!!

192.4 this am- 15% of my total weight loss since January!!! :carrot: I'm not sure how much that would be from last week but I KNOW I did not lose 5lbs (only because I didn't work out, lol.) so last week's WI was definitely with water weight or something.

GettinFit 05-17-2011 04:18 PM

Good afternoon everyone,

Great job to all you losers :dizzy: We are all doing so good. I took a peek at the scale this morning and I am down almost 2 pounds since Friday. We are all going to be so hot by Labor day.

Keep up the great work everyone.

PacSunMama 05-18-2011 03:33 PM

Lost, Amandie and GettinFit- great job on your losses this week! Sounds like everyone is rocking right along!

I hopped on the scale first thing this morning and it said 216... went to the bathroom and nursed the baby and jumped on again this time without woozy, sleepy eyes, and it said 217.5. Uh...okay? Ha ha, I'm going with 217 this week, so that's only down 1, but I'll take it.

K3LL3Y 05-19-2011 06:46 AM

Hi All,
Checking in a bit early this week because I'm going to be away until late Sunday night. Still plugging along on the diet and keeping up my exercise. Hopefully all these combined challenges will keep everything in check :)
Have a great weekend and I'll get caught up on Sunday.

melinda34 05-19-2011 09:55 AM

luciousness

Gonna try Wednesday weigh-in's -
first week: good bye 4.2!
trying to figure out the ticker -- hope to get it working soon! :dizzy:

doubtingJulia 05-19-2011 10:20 AM

melinda: I think you need 25 posts before you can get a sig or a ticker. Just keep posting here and you'll get there in no time! Great job on your loss! 4 pounds is awesome!

I'm starting to get worried about my salt intake. Maybe I should drink more water. In fact, I'll go do that right now.

urockmom 05-19-2011 12:06 PM

Hey girls!

Is it to late to join in? As we get closer & closer to Memorial Day and I realize that I have not met my goal (again!), I am feeling like I need to get into the habit of posting everyday and staying to a challenge so I hope to be Luscious by Labor Day!!! (Really going to be tough because I traditionally slack off on my exercise in the summer so you guys may have to get tough! :nono:

Looking forward to getting to know you!!!!

Kristen81985 05-19-2011 03:50 PM

Good job everyone!! Keep it up!!

melinda34 05-19-2011 11:47 PM

:hug:doubting -- thnx -- I couldn't figure out why it didn't work..... now it make sense!!

rmc9142 05-20-2011 11:40 AM

Oh no - my scale died this morning! I think it's just a dead battery, so not a big deal. I was so disappointed though. I thought about going down to the basement; my daughter has one packed away with all of the stuff she just brought home from school. But, I was too afraid it would show that I weighed more than my regular scale! :D

It's TOM though, so I probably would have shown a gain anyway. Maybe the death of my scale was Mother Nature or Fate protecting me from disappointment.

konfyoozed 05-20-2011 11:45 AM

gotta use my friday weight this week, since i'll be busy getting married and leaving for my honeymoon over the weekend :D

today's weigh in: 267.9
change from yesterday: -0.8
loss for the week: 3.9 pounds! (whoa!)*
total loss for may thusfar: 7.7 pounds
total loss since start (march 15): 32.1 pounds

*weekly loss is based on friday - friday weight, i think i used saturday's post-whoosh weight on the chart.

PacSunMama 05-20-2011 03:50 PM

Mandy WOW that's a huge loss! Congrats on your whoosh! Also enjoy your wedding and honeymoon- every minute of it!!

rmc9142 05-21-2011 10:02 AM

Wow, congrats Mandy . . . on both the whoosh and your marriage. Best wishes for a long and happy life together!

Well, I replaced the battery in my scale and it's still not working. I can't describe how sad I am . . . I just know I'm not going to weigh the same on a different scale. I don't even care if it's more or less. I just want an accurate measure of my progress! Oh well, not much I can do about it. I'll weigh myself on the new one tomorrow and hope for the best.

Have a great day everyone.

ILRPinkGirl 05-22-2011 05:44 AM

Mandy, congrats on your wedding and honeymoon, enjoy every moment of it!

RMC, sorry to hear about the death of your scale, that'd drive me a little nute for sure.

Anyway, I'm here for a EARLY (yawn) Sunday weigh-in before I head down to NYC for a 5K this morning...weighed in at 228 this morning, down 4 from last week, woo-hoo! Hope everyone else had a great week, and has a great day!

doubtingJulia 05-22-2011 07:35 AM

grr... I maintained this week. I'm blaming water retention. Yes, that's it.

Must not lose motivation, must not lose motivation...

rmc9142 05-22-2011 08:00 AM

Congrats everyone - sounds like we're all doing pretty well. It's so hard to maintain momentum sometimes. But, good weeks, bad weeks, we just have to keep at it!

The saga of my poor little scale continues . . . DH has mysteriously been able to get the old scale to work. But, since it's only working intermittently, I know it's on its last leg and so I bought a new one. I had DH weigh himself on the old and immediately on the new one so I could calibrate my numbers. We found that the old was coming in at .3lbs more, which isn't so bad. And now I'm at peace with the death of the scale. :goodscale:

Happy to report that I'm down 3.4lbs this week. It was a very easy week to stay OP - no birthdays or other special occassions. The family was getting into their summer routines and hardly around, so I really only had to cook for myself. I went to the gym every single day and really pushed myself while I was there. This was the first week that I really felt a difference while working out - not so winded, able to workout longer, and didn't feel like an old feeble woman when I attempted to get out bed the following mornings. :D

Have a great day everyone!

josey 05-22-2011 09:50 AM

195lbs this morning! Down 3lbs. Yay

DrivenByAmbition 05-22-2011 10:51 AM

I froze the first column to make it easier to find your weigh in slot.

Missita 05-24-2011 01:12 PM

I weighed in yesterday instead of Sunday. I didn't lose, but I maintained, and I have to say I'm soooo happy about that. I just about went crazy last week. It was TOM and I just did NOT want to think about what I was eating at all, so I have to admit I went a little overboard. :o Back on track this week, though! :carrot:

SMSDREAMER2007 05-24-2011 05:23 PM

im hereee!!! was really sick this week, but better now just in time for class WOOHOO!!! I lost 2 lbs this week, I am happy with that. CONGRATS ALL on losses and maintaining! this group is awesome!

PacSunMama 05-25-2011 03:52 PM

Well this week isn't all that awe-inspiring... lol. Guess the "easy" weight has fallen off and now I have to actually do the hard work! 216.8... down is better than up right?!

I had my 6-week PP checkup yesterday, incision and everything look great so I have the all-clear to start exercising. Also got the results back from my latest chest x-ray and the pneumonia is also gone! WOOHOO!!

This week I'm making it my super huge goal to drink all my water! I'm aiming for between 100-120 ounces a day; I'm breastfeeding, plus pumping another 8-12 ounces daily to donate to a local family, then I'll be adding in exercise on top of that so I know that water intake is going to be crucial to losing weight and breastfeeding successfully! Hope everyone else is having a great week!!

rmc9142 05-26-2011 09:25 AM

Welcome JazzyPeggy and justmary! You will find a lot of inspiration here - I know I certainly have!

For those in the US, are you doing anything special for the holiday weekend? These types of festive weekends have always been challenging for me in the past, but I think I'm ready! Veggie burgers & chicken sausage are both choices I can add to the family bbq. I know I can have just about anything if I plan it into my daily calorie allotment, but I don't think I'm at that point yet. I think if I let myself "cheat", I'll still be tempted to let loose. So, veggie burgers it is! :)

GettinFit 05-26-2011 10:38 AM

Good morning everyone,

I haven't checked in for a few days now and just wanted to pop in to see how everyone is doing. Looks like you're all hanging in there :cb: I've had a really good month and I am excited to see where I will be by labor day. I'm hoping to be somewhere in onederland by then. I am going to give it my all to stay on track this time. I am sick and tired of "starting over".

Dreamer - I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick but congrats on the loss.

Great job Josey & rmc :carrot:

Julia - stay motivated. It will come off soon :)

I hope everyone else ends the month with a BANG!

bookwmn1 05-26-2011 02:00 PM

Hi all - I'm a late joiner. I just signed up on the spreadsheet. My actual weigh-in is on Friday.
