Hi everyone.

Just dropped in to say Hi :). Madambutterfly I took your advice and I think I walked my legs off going to all the sites in DC. It is a different world than the one I live in... I come from a town of about 30,000 people so it was a little overwhelming but it was great to see all the history. On the plus side I consumed a lot of water and I actually lost weight:carrot: I hope to get a workout in on Saturday and Sunday but it will be tough since I want to spend a bunch of time with the family since I missed them all week.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

MadamButterfly 02-18-2011 11:08 AM

It's FRIDAY!!

Good morning all, it's Friday and I'm off work . . . I did a double workout today . . . . OH MY . . . I got a wild hair up my BU** :lol3: I did JM 30-day shred and BL last chance workout with my 400 crunches and 140 push-ups

Emme: Great job, TOM and a loss :woohoo:

crm: yea, walking your legs off in D.C. is NOT a problem and hopefully it wasn't TOOOOO COLD :brr: I can remember as a child going to the pencil (The washington monument) it used to cost 10 cents to go in and you could take the elevator up and walk down or you could walk up, all along the wall at each landing is a stone from every state. They don't let people do that anymore because people would have heart attacks and the elevator only stops at the top an bottom . . . it takes the medics a looooong time to get up or down. OK enough reminiscing . . .

crm: one other note: Do something with the family a hike at one of the state parks or just in the neighborhood, a bike ride, ice skating or something that is active and you all can do together . . . not sure how old the kids are or where you're at so I don't know the temps outside . . .

JasonLea: Good luck on the weigh-in :crossed:

Christinia: :carrot: Way to go!! Do you like the eliptical, I feel like my feet fall asleep when I do it? . . . ok maybe I'm just weird

dcap: GREAT WILL POWER . . . no crescent rolls and the pull up machine . . . I don't like going to the gym . . . I always feel like everyone is watching me . . . I know they are just doing their own thing . . . all in my head I know

Everyone have a great day . . . I weigh in on Sunday and have my fingers :crossed: and praying to the scale angels :goodscale:

Super excited about my results this week! Can't remember the last time I was in single digits and so close to Onederland! I was crossing my fingers that I'd at least be under 210 due to this having been a major PMS week. There were a couple nights when I didn't get enough of my water intake for the day because of a bad stomach ache after dinner. But I was SO thrilled and pleasantly surprised when I saw 208.2 on the scale! It really pays off to exercise and eat correctly!

1/22: 215.8
1/28: 215.8
1/31: 215.0

My feet do the same thing if I stay on more than 10 minutes or so! I have tried different shoes, stocking feet (pedals too bumpy), untied shoes, etc. I thought I was crazy. I avoid it unless I really need to change up my routine, and even then I keep it short!

Looks like everyone is doing great! I weigh in tomorrow (sunday):crossed:

I have the same problem with the elliptical...my feet totally feel like they are falling asleep and I have to stop doing it after a bit...which really disappoints me b/c I like the elliptical!

surrendertolis 02-20-2011 09:58 AM

Congrats on your loss, Jomatho! Any loss is a success! :)

dcapulet 02-20-2011 10:01 AM

No change for me this week. this is good and bad. Bad for obvious reasons. Good because I had a fun time this weekend, and because I now know that a setback will not kill me. I can rise above it, which i will do this week :)

Morning ladies . . . looks like everyone is doing well!! :woohoo:

I'm down 1.2, and was surprised it was that much. I didn't really do cardio workouts this week, I pretty much stuck to the 30-day shred and then two days of BL added to the shred workouts and although jillian does cardio in these it isn't sustained cardio and I think I need that, so I will do the 30 day shred and some Zumba everyday and see what happens with that . . . besides I feel better when I do Zumba or some other sustained cardio . . .

OK, I've got diarrhea of the mouth today, just thinking out loud . . . so here are my numbers so far . . .

1/16: 177.2
1/23: 175.2 (-2.0)
1/30: 173.6 (-1.6)
2/6: 170.6 (-3.0)
2/13: 168.8 (-1.8)
2/20: 167.6 (-1.2)

:congrat: to everyone who lost this week

decap: way to go having a FUN, FUN week and still maintaining . . .

OK, I need to eat and get ready for work AND it's snowing outside . . . can you say "shovel the snow" <sigh> I'm so ready for spring . . .

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

Timoba 02-21-2011 05:08 AM

I'd love to join. I won't set an actual weight loss goal b/c if I miss it, I don't want to feel like I didn't accomplish something. It's early, does that make sense?

My goal for this challenge will be to stick with the challenge, do my best and enjoy the results!
