Hiya Chicklets,
It's been a long, hard week, and I'm exhausted, so I'm not going too far back to catch up. But I am still exercising hard and plugging away. I finally saw 159.8 this morning--I've been on the verge of leaving the 160s for over a week, and am hoping it'll last. I had originally hoped to reach my goal weight by my anniversary, which is Saturday, but I'm not too upset to be running 10 or 15 pounds late (not sure if my goal is 145 or 149--we'll see when I get there), since I am thinner now than DH has ever seen. LE: Congratulations...ever closer to onederland! Love the pretty new picture. Goodnuff: Wahoo! You could feasibly lose another 2 pounds before the month is over and shoot for the 280s by the end of August! MsP: Good luck and have fun this weekend. GettinFit: Good work, keep it up! Everyone is doing great this month, it seems. Congratulations to everyone who has already reached goal! |
Check In Time :)
Yesterday was OP - planning for another one today. Went to bed & woke up with a headache :( My husband's dogs have been nuisance barking  again (it's a big issue between us). Took some aspirin hopefully it will go away. I'm down another lb. and have only 1 more to go. Pretty sure I'll make my goal. Hope your day is a good one! |
Good Morning, and to all those who don't have to work this weekend (like me;)) Happy Weekend, may it be full of healthy fun activity, and NO temptations!
Today is Zumba class! I have to say it started out as a crazy form of torture, but I really do love it now. In fact I was kinda bummed yesterday, that There wasn't a class I could go to. If anyone hasn't tried it, I definately recommend it. Even if you have ZERO dance experience like me. Louisa H- Thanks for commenting on my new pic:D. Sorry to hear it has been a rough week for you. It must be something in the air cause i am soooo glad this week is over. Happy almost anniversary, I am sure you will look Fantastic. What are your plans to celebrate? SusieMartin-Have a great day Today! Uh, maybe you can sneek in a cat-nap along the way today:crossed: |

Hello all,
You all are so motivating! You're doing an awesome job. I can't wait 'til I'm as far along on my journey as you. I had a great day today; I'm finally getting back into the swing of eating right. I really need to stick with this way of eating from now on not just to lose weight but to be healthy. I hope everyone has a great weekend :broc: |

Checking in!
Tracked 8/16! Haven't been OP since WI. Met my weight loss goal for the month and now I'm sabotaging myself. I still have weekly points (WW) left so it's not a total sabotage, just a mind one. Struggling between going to see my friend at a BBQ where I feel like I'll mess up for sure and just staying home. Want to stay home but don't want to disappoint her. Have a bridal shower tomorrow too. On a lighter note congrats to all of you early birds who are meeting July goals already. And to those of you who are still trying. And those of you who know you won't but keep coming back anyway. |
Ok. Right decision made. Staying home, getting my clean on. Going for a long walk when the sun goes down. Thank God for understanding friends!
|
so i detoured for the last 2 days - being reunited with my family after two months has thrown me off hard! but today i took them to the farmer's market, let them all pick out fruits and veggies they like, and did my exercise. I'm trying to adapt to making time for them AND me. it's easier than I thought - they are super supportive. And hubby really noticed the weight I already lost, so it's motivation to keep going!

Check In Time :)
Yesterday was OP - planning for an OP day today. Hope your day is a good one! |
hey ladies, just checking in. I know I have been MIA for a while. I have started a new job and it has been so crazy. I have been so tired and my feet OMG they have hurt so bad. I haven't worked outside our business office for the past 2 years and before that I was a corporate coordinator behind a computer all day. I must say it does feel good to have something of my own and the money is good.. LOL As for me my weight has been bouncing from 210-214. I don't know why I will lose and then gain I seem to sabatage myself all the time. Drives me crazy. How do you ladies stay on track and keep yourself motivated??? I need so help and you ladies are all I have please help!!!! I will be setting up a new goal the first of the month and use the rest of this month to get back on track.. Hope you all have a wonderful day :)

Dear Mystical,
Congrats on the new job. Sorry to hear you are struggling. I have been where you are, and it is so frustrating. First off I found out there is no magic to it, it is basic science. And when you do it the right way, it is very sloooow going. I think there were a few key things to my recent change, 1. I log everything i eat, good bad or ugly. No matter what. 2. I pre-plan my calories for the day, even if I have to adjust for sudden changes like eating out. I don't have to think on the fly to much about it. 3. a gal named Rockinrobin made a reply on here that just hit home for me. She wrote this in reply to someone who was also struggling, and wondering if they should just give up. I re-read this often, and it really helps me. RockinRobin wrote " I'd set up some roadblocks as to NOT slip back into old habits. In fact I'd work real hard on establishing some NEW ones, new HEALTHY ones that is. Journal your foods - every bite, lick, taste, sip and crumb that goes down your throat. This is a GREAT tool. It will make you AWARE and mindful of what you're eating. It will also keep you FOCUSED. Focus is what's needed. When we lose focus, things start going awry. Plan out your meals/snacks in ADVANCE. Know ahead of time EXACTLY what you will be eating. Make yourself a plan and stick to that sucker like glue, LIKE GLUE. No veering. You've got that plan in place, now stick to it. Have the right foods on hand - always. ALWAYS. Get rid of the junk. You can't eat it if it's not there. Make yourself some rules, set up some boundaries, create some new life laws for you to follow. Definite no's to what you will not touch - no matter what. For instance, no fast food, no chips, pretzels, soda, etc. Take the decision making process away - this way there's no - should I?/ shouldn't I to even contemplate. "Nope, I just don't do that any more. It's no longer an option TO eat like that." Learn how to tell yourself no. You don't have to have something just because you want it. You're not a spoiled child after all. You must make mature, responsible decisions that have LASTING affects. Stop thinking of your two minute gratification (giving into temptation) and think of your long term satisfaction (living your life at your utmost optimal - at a healthy slim weight). Self discipline is a wonderful thing. It opens up doors and creates a wonderful life. But you must get used to doing so. It won't feel comfortable at first. You MUST get through the initial, temporary discomfort of breaking old habits and establishing new ones. Push yourself. Stretch. Push. Reach. Strive. Grow. Losing weight and lots of it is a doable thing. It's not some crazy, hare-brained out of this world scheme. You just must DECIDE to do it. Decide to do it, commit to do it (screw the motivation, it comes and goes) and than be WILLING to do what's necessary to MAKE it happen. And rest assured, you CAN make it happen, you can. And you should. Hold yourself up to a higher standard. Require more from yourself. Push yourself. Conquer something new. Discover who you were meant to be. Transform your life. You don't have to be overweight if you don't want to. It is within your hands, you have the power to change this." For some reason, these were the right words at the right time for me. I know I am a strong woman when I put my mind to something. I just got lazy about being on track. Stress never helps the situation, that is for sure. I hope this long ole post helps you too. If not, just keep coming back, and maybe something will click for you too. hang in there! |
